24/01/2026: A wonderful time! The owner was kind enough to let us blow out two candles while singing "Happy Birthday," in a festive and thoughtful atmosphere. The tagliatelle with scallops and pickled red cabbage were delicious, and the desserts were excellent. A warm and delightful interlude.
04/01/2026: An excellent restaurant in Bayeux. Domesday is ideally located right next to the cathedral. The restaurant is run directly by the owner, who is very professional, which is immediately apparent in the organization and the welcome.
The menu features a wide variety of local dishes, well-prepared and true to regional tradition. The service is quick and efficient, perfect even during busy periods, and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality and location. A sure bet in Bayeux, highly recommended.

08/12/2024: Fast food of very good quality, also open on Sundays and there is a choice. We were very well received despite the fact that the manager had to resolve a problem with a group of around ten people who were visibly surly and in bad faith. In business as in life, respect is reciprocal and I have the feeling that the “goodwill” that appeared during Covid is only a distant memory. So this place is, for my wife and me, a place to remember.
10/11/2024: To avoid, or as a last resort. The prices charged (11€ for a complete pancake, neither very good nor copious, the green salad supplement at 2€50) are completely out of sync with the quality of the food and the place: large plates, tables that stick and above all a large hood problem. The room is filled with a thick smell of burning grease. The service is ok. We were with a small child who was hungry so no choice, otherwise we would have left.

25/01/2026: Having bought two Tradition pastries and two croissants today (Sunday), I am very disappointed.
Why not put "Bakery, Pastry Shop, Masonry" on your storefront, given that the Tradition pastries look like two cinder blocks? Disappointed…

High-quality breads and pastries. I highly recommend the raisin and hazelnut bread—it's amazing!!!
The flaky brioche is worth the trip.

25/06/2025: A unique experience, not for everyone. One of the few places open on Sunday. Owner is friendly, although sometimes engaging in a very sarcastic way. Our food was OK, filet was not a filet, but other cut of meat. Lamb was good, and seafood bisque had split and was only mussels (although still tasty). You have to be prepared for the owner to engage you, it is not a place to go for a quiet meal.
19/06/2025: Terrific place! We were in Bayeux celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, and this was our first meal upon arrival. The food was wonderful. Everything was fresh and delicious. The owner was very welcoming and warm - made us feel right at home. We shared stories and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. I highly recommend this place for a relaxed atmosphere, a good meal and great music too.

22/08/2025: We called in for snacks before boarding our train. We felt like an inconvenience because we did not have cash and wished to use card. We spent 12 euros so not a complete fee wasting transaction

They were just in a hurry to get paid and kick us out.

28/10/2025: We come here often, both for work and personal reasons, and are always well served in a pleasant atmosphere with smiling, cheerful staff. The food is good, whether you order a simple or elaborate dish.

14/09/2025: There were four of us, including a child. The staff is welcoming and pleasant. The food is crude. Considering the price of the dishes, one would expect more finesse. The presentation and flavor of the dishes do not offer the expected pleasure. The cuisine is that of a small brasserie (...). I hope that this review will give the staff the opportunity to review their kitchen work because the place remains welcoming.
02/09/2025: Overall, a pleasant experience. However, the service left something to be desired (cutlery not set, no sauce offered, sometimes unfriendly...).
It's a shame, the food was good.

27/12/2025: Very disappointed. The waiter was barely friendly, and the service was poor: he didn't offer water or any other drinks. After our savory crepes, he didn't even offer a dessert menu or coffee! We paid and left. I definitely don't recommend this place.
19/11/2025: I had a quick bite of a ham/egg/cheese galette, which perfectly met my expectations; the service was fast and pleasant.

19/01/2026: Food poisoning after eating a quiche.
The saleswomen are very friendly and the service is excellent. However, the quality of the food leaves much to be desired. After eating a quiche, I suffered severe food poisoning. I therefore do not recommend eating quiches from this bakery.
01/01/2026: I bought a three-chocolate Yule log yesterday and it was really not great. Expensive and frankly not good quality.
Since the owners changed, it's much worse, the cakes are smaller, and it's more expensive. Go figure! The waitresses were very pleasant, thankfully!

29/08/2024: Leider hat es uns gar nicht gefallen. Der service war unglaublich langsam (nach 15 Minuten überhaupt erstmal Getränkebestellung aufgenommen) und unaufmerksam (man musste nach Besteck, Salz und Wasser fragen. Das Fleisch war ok, die Bernaise eine zwar wohlschmeckende kalte Mayonnaise, aber keine Sauce Bearnaise, die Ceviche wenig gewürzt. Wird würden nicht wiederkommen.
