One small drawback: Lobster is offered in the 7-course tasting menu without being informed of the €16 supplement, which is also not listed on the menu displayed at the entrance. Simply unacceptable for an establishment of this caliber.

27/09/2026: Absolutely exceptional! The salmon gravlax with its lemon cream was excellent! The pork ribs were melt-in-your-mouth tender! The tiramisu was to die for! I highly recommend this place, and in my opinion, go now because very soon you'll have to book well in advance to have the pleasure of eating there! Bravo!

11/10/2026: We stumbled upon this place and received a very warm welcome. The dishes are beautifully prepared, and even a simple steak tartare or smash burger becomes divine. 11/10/2026: A fantastic spot right in the heart of Caen! 🔥 L’Hydropathe ticks all the boxes: stylish decor, a warm and friendly atmosphere, fast and efficient service, and genuinely friendly staff. The food is a delight: delicious dishes, generous portions, and very reasonable prices. In short, you eat well, receive a warm welcome, and have a wonderful time without breaking the bank. A restaurant that's definitely worth a visit; I recommend it 100%!

10/10/2026: I am sorry to give this rating, but on Saturday, October 3rd, around 2pm, we asked to be seated outside to eat. We were seated and waited 20-30 minutes, and no one came to attend to us. The servers walked past us without paying attention, so we left. I have been here in the past, and the service is usually very good, but it's a shame to seat customers and never pay attention to them.

02/10/2026: From aperitif to dessert, everything was perfect. We don't go to Magma just to eat or simply to go to a restaurant, but to spend time there, to have an experience. We enjoyed the entire evening (not for the first time) and we particularly appreciated the quality of the time we spent there! 22/09/2026: A wonderful discovery! We came by chance on a Wednesday at lunchtime for my husband's birthday. We opted for the set menu at €32 (starter, main course, and dessert). The gizzard salad was very good, but personally, I would have preferred a bit more salad and without cucumber 😀. The sea bass with mashed potatoes and butternut squash (I think), and nasturtium, was very flavorful and refined. My husband had a profiterole with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, which he devoured with relish. As for me, I chose a pavlova (meringue, whipped cream, and mango ice cream), initially by default, but in the end, I was delighted with my choice. We also ordered cider; it's just a shame it wasn't offered in 75cl bottles, only 25cl. Our taste buds were delighted by all the delicious, homemade dishes. The service was impeccable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The tables are close together, leaving little room for privacy. The price of the full menu is a bit high, but justified by the quality of the ingredients and dishes. Kudos to the chef! A very good restaurant; we recommend it.
