18/08/2026: We went as a family and everything was perfect. Service, food. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

15/08/2026: There are only surprise menus. We had a wonderful composition of firmly marinated sea bream fillet strips garnished with two kinds of creams—one mild, the other slightly fruity and more intense—spicy, crisp nasturtium leaves, micro-chives, peanut crunch, and shallot strips. Perfectly presented and a taste sensation! The main course was tender pork with fresh vegetables (a slice of zucchini with chanterelles and cherry tomatoes). The sauce had cumin and subtle African notes. Dessert was delicious with fresh aniseed leaves. The ambiance was beautifully and artistically designed. The service was very friendly, as was the chef. And the value for money was incredible! 35 euros per person.

02/09/2026: Went out looking for seafood and found this place. I saw a picture on the outside and knew what I wanted. I speak no French and the waiter spoke no English. He pointed to something on the menu and indicated it was for two. I order it and what was delivered was what was on the picture I had seen outside! Hugh shrimp, tastey oysters and sea snails. They could have included horseradish and melted butter but didn't. I asked and was only able to get melted butter. It was more food than my wife and I could eat! After dinner, we walked in to pay and the owner gave us some apple liquor which was very good. Nice place!

18/04/2026: It starts with a simple and warm welcome in a pleasant setting. Then a thoughtful touch: "That was the last of the wine in the bottle, so I gave you more." Then comes the delicious, simple (without being simplistic) and high-quality cuisine. Even the tap water is good, as is the background music. All for €17 (€5 extra for dessert). You can also eat outside on a historic street in Caen that's not as "cold" as its name might suggest.

07/07/2026: Undoubtedly the best place for lunch! Seasonal dishes elevated to a bistronomic standard offer unbeatable value for money (and a well-prepared vegetarian option is always available). The service is also fantastic, attentive, and accommodating! Just one small tip: be careful with the homemade bread, it's truly addictive 😄… so you can save room for dessert, where you'll always find a little piece of your favorite cake 🍰. In short, I've been eating there regularly for three years, and I never get tired of it!!

30/07/2026: Wir hatten einen fantastischen Abend bei Stéphane Carbone, besonders mit Mehdi, der im Service sympathisch und wortgewandt auf all unsere Wünsche eingegangen ist. Wir hatten a 7-Gang Menu and the vegan 4-Gang Menu were sogar etwas erweitert, damit keiner dem anderen nur beim Essen zuschauen musste. Die Weinbegleitung war ebenfalls wunderbar. Ganz besonders wird unas Dessert en Erinnerung bleiben, das mit einer Tomato einen ungewöhnlichen Hauptdarsteller hatte. Also a Hund will be wunderbar umsorgt. We had a fantastic evening at Stéphane Carbone's, thanks in particular to Mehdi, who was very kind and articulate in answering all our questions. We enjoyed a seven-course menu, and the four-course vegan menu was even slightly expanded so that no one was left simply watching the other eat. The wine pairing was also wonderful. The dessert will remain a highlight and a memorable moment, showcasing an unusual star ingredient – ​​the tomato. Our dog was also very well looked after. Thank you so much!
