The welcome is warm, the service attentive, and the cozy atmosphere invites relaxation. We particularly appreciated the authentic flavors and the perfect balance of seasonings. A restaurant where you feel right at home, with excellent value for money. An address to remember. We'll definitely be back!

10/09/2026: The initial phone call was very pleasant! The staff were very welcoming and attentive! The platters were delicious and generously filled with fresh ingredients! It's a shame we booked too early; there was a bit of a lack of atmosphere, but nothing serious, we were responsible, lol.

It's quite expensive for an Italian breakfast, but everything is very good. The French toast is top notch! Oh... these places always open around 9 or 9:30. More suitable for brunch, perhaps.

21/08/2026: A lovely experience at this downtown brasserie. The welcome was very pleasant. The service was top-notch; the three waitresses who looked after us were all very professional, friendly, and always smiling. A superb attitude from these waitresses, the kind you see less and less these days—well done! Okay, I'm old-fashioned, but here I found exactly what I expect from service: efficient and pleasant at the same time. You don't feel like you're bothering them, as is often the case elsewhere. As for the food, the chicken supreme was very good with an excellent morel sauce. The Caesar and salmon salads were also good. We also really enjoyed the mille-feuille and the decadent profiteroles. The cider was truly excellent and not strong for a brut; we liked it. The brasserie aspect initially put me off, but in the end, it's a great place that I recommend. Parking isn't easy, unless you use the underground car park directly opposite, under Place de la République.

10/09/2026: We came to eat last night with a group of friends. The welcome was acceptable. We were served by waiters who were a bit overly familiar, especially in this type of establishment. A nice menu, but exorbitant prices (€6 for two eggs! ... Of course, I'm not even mentioning the rest, which is outrageously expensive.) However, the problem isn't so much the price, but the quality that should accompany it. (My menu: bone marrow, steak tartare, and apple waffles) The price of the meal included a bottle of wine to share between six of us. €43 per person, so at that price, it has to be top-notch! For my part, the bone marrow was uninteresting, completely unseasoned, and undercooked. The beef tartare was far from what one would expect; the meat was seasoned without respecting the basics, it was white and greasy (beef tartare should be red and bloody). There was no accompanying sauce; the waiter offered us aioli and a cognac sauce... I don't see the connection. I'm not even mentioning the side dishes: a few salad leaves and a small handful of undercooked, uninteresting Salardaise potatoes. I'm raising the rating for the dessert, an exorbitant €10, but acceptable. (I won't even mention the four scoops and whipped cream my tablemate ordered for €10.) This restaurant has lost its former glory. It used to be a small bistro by the port, renowned for its atmosphere and food. It's a new location, just a few years ago. Success and expansion have led to decline. P.S.: I rarely leave reviews, but I had a rough night, and besides struggling to digest the bill, I didn't digest the meal either.

02/05/2026: A wonderful discovery where the term "Agora" is perfectly apt. Indeed. A quick reminder, if needed: in ancient Greece, the Agora referred to a gathering of citizens and the place where it took place. Well, here you are. All sorts of people mingle here in a joyful and friendly atmosphere. The owner, Mika, with his warm and jovial sense of humor, immediately puts you at ease. In fact, it feels like going for a drink at the home of kind friends. The atmosphere is so welcoming. Everyone feels at home, even if you come alone. People talk to each other simply, with joy and respect. In short: The Place To Be! The only slight drawback is that it might not be wheelchair accessible except on the terrace, but perhaps they have a ramp; I didn't ask. In any case, I enjoyed a delicious coffee and had a very pleasant time. Try it, and you'll love it! Thank you MIKA for welcoming me so warmly, and thank you to your waitress who is very professional and also lovely 😍

06/04/2026: Honestly… this bar-tabac isn't just a place, it's a spiritual experience. You walk in, and you feel like your life is better just by pushing open the door. Even your overdraft hesitates to stay. The atmosphere? So clean you almost want to say hello to the walls. And the owner… well, he's not just a manager, he's a concept. The guy serves you a coffee, and you feel like he's been coaching you for 10 years. He looks at you, he already knows what you want. Before you've even spoken, he's already prepared your pack, your half-pint, and probably sorted out your personal problems. I swear, if all businesses were like this, there wouldn't be any more bad moods in France. Even people who say, "I don't like bars-tabacs"… they come here… and they get an emotional subscription. In short, if you don't go, it means you've voluntarily decided to miss out on happiness. And that, in itself, is a courageous decision.

22/08/2026: We stopped for lunch while passing through the city. The daily menu was fine. We want to thank Lukas (one of the waiters who served us) for the excellent service, his friendliness, and his effort to speak to us in Spanish, which he speaks perfectly.

21/08/2026: No kitchen for 12 people and 4 babies? Outrageous or racist?? My Salvadoran family can't believe it! Avoid this restaurant, it's not worth it. Luckily, there are plenty of other options in the Vagueux area.

31/08/2026: An excellent board game bar in Caen! I highly recommend it, especially the delicious burgers!

25/08/2026: We went there one evening, not realizing it's better to reserve a table beforehand xD But the staff were lovely and managed to find us a table for two anyway. The only slight downside is that the tables for two are really narrow, making it very difficult to eat/drink while playing... (even when choosing simpler games). It was also a bit frustrating because we had asked for a larger table that was free at the time (and without a reservation), but we were told it was reserved for a larger group, and in the end, they let a couple sit there... who were just eating, while we were there to play games too. I was a little annoyed, but oh well, that's how it goes! Otherwise, I like the concept of a board game bar; the platters were really good, and the drinks too! However, we waited over an hour for our mussels and fries, and we were about to leave when they finally arrived. And although we thought they were good, we were a little sick that night and the next day :( (we unfortunately have no idea what caused it). I also really enjoyed the little riddles to solve! Overall, it was a positive experience, very friendly staff, good food, you just have to be patient when ordering and also book in advance xD
