13/09/2024: Invitée par mon fils à l'occasion de mon anniversaire, j'ai découvert ce restaurant avec grand plaisir. Un accueil chaleureux, un cadre très agréable, pas trop bruyant. L'équipe est aux petits soins, très attentive au bien être des clients. Les plats sont savoureux, cuisinés avec de bons produits. Une mention spéciale pour le magret de canard accompagné de pommes de terre grenaille et de sa sauce au miel et framboise. Le burger est aussi de grande qualité. Une excellente adresse ! A découvrir sans hésitation !

And we are won over... a game lover, I will be able to discover new ones before buying... which one will be able to dethrone Terraforming Mars?? 17/08/2024: Had a lovely visit last night, had the Ivan Menu and the food was inventive and delicious. We have been to 10/12 michelin star restaurants in the UK, but this was our first in France, and it lived up to our expectations. We didn't speak great French and really appreciated the staff accommodating us in English (other reviews should remember this is a privilege, not a right!) This place is a bit of a hidden gem and well worth a visit.

10/09/2024: Comment dire...pour un établissement qui a une reputation...un plat à 30 euros avec un morceau de poisson (seul dans l'assiette avec pour accompagnement du riz dans un petit plat à part, cela manque d'élaboration avec qq petit légumes !!! C'est cher et franchement pas fou, sans parler du ridicule café gourmand à 10 euros avec des desserts tous rikikis, pire que des minis... Ils ne proposent même pas des toasts (pain) et une petite terrine ou petite tapenade pour accompagner notre boisson apéritive...c'est sûr on ne reviendra pas et surtout pas de pub bien au contraire !!

01/07/2024: While passing through the area, we were looking for a small restaurant (other than a McDonald's on an area). This brewery is very correct from a price-quality point of view. The dishes are simple but it gets the job done. The staff is very friendly.

26/08/2024: Nous n’étions pas revenus dans ce restaurant situé « dans » le château depuis des années, époque « café Mancel » et Bib gourmand. Sale cosy, simple mais agréable. Menu à 30€ : Jolies entrées (césar revisitée, ceviché frais mais peu assaisonné en sel/citron), plats copieux (cote de cochon excellente mais garniture tartare/caviar aubergines/grenailles un poil riche, bon risotto). Enfin 2 excellents desserts néo classique (millefeuille ganache chocolat et tarte citron) nets, pas trop sucrés et gouteux. Offre vin simple mais efficace. Jeune serveur débutant,…on lui pardonne. Equipe sympathique. Attention : vaisselle pas hyper nette (verre à eau, assiettes noires entrée). Règlement ANCV possible. Le Mancel dispose d’un rooftop à essayer pour l’apéro 😎. Ce resto pourrait être dans le Michelin (même sans distinction).

09/08/2024: We had lunch in this restaurant this afternoon with colleagues. We honestly didn't know what to expect but ultimately we found a very nice place. Very welcoming, the restaurant manager is friendly and warm and takes the time to explain to customers the specificities of each dish. We took a starter called “Chouba”. It's a kind of beet salad with carrots, potatoes, a homemade mayonnaise type sauce and smoked herring. Not usually liking Herring, in this salad it was simply delicious! For the main course we each had something different, I personally opted for the "Pelmeni", a kind of Slavic ravioli with pork and chicken inside, all accompanied by a salad of raw vegetables. Again there was no shortage of it, a real treat. The portions are very good, the dishes nicely presented and the manager explained to us that certain dishes are limited due to the fact that certain ingredients were finished the day before and that she would go and buy new ones, thus letting us understand that the ingredients are fresh, which is reassuring for the customer. To conclude, it is a cuisine that changes and is not very expensive (count around twenty euros for a starter + main course + drink menu at lunchtime). I highly recommend!
