30/08/2026: Recommended by our taxi driver upon leaving the airport, it's best to reserve a table at 20123; you'll receive a warm welcome! On the small terrace, enlivened by the conversations of the waiters and the chats of your neighbors with whom you'll quickly strike up a conversation, the half-open door allows you to enjoy the Corsican music played by two guitars. The interior is beautiful. Very friendly and welcoming, and of course, the food is excellent (local cuisine)! Tip: Don't have an afternoon snack or an aperitif before dinner. The portions are generous, just like at home, and you'd be frustrated (like me) if you couldn't finish your plate and didn't order dessert. Highly recommended! We'll be back!!

Every dish was perfectly balanced in flavor and presented with meticulous attention to detail – true haute cuisine. The wine pairings were perfectly matched to the menu and wonderfully complemented the culinary experience. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates exceptional food. We will definitely be back!

31/07/2026: A very offhand service that seems tourist hardened but not mean-spirited. We chose the smaller menu. It started with a slice of what we were told was “raw fish” that was snapper-like, accompanied by a tiny bit of pickled baby vegetables that were insufficient to mask the fish’s lack of freshness. The next course turned out to be a “wagyu pastrami” which was a salty, lean slice of beef with a pleasant flavor accompanied by coleslaw and Russian dressing. The lamb was a real waste of a gorgeous LITTLE ( perhaps 60 gr) piece of young lamb souris drowned under a pile-on of far too many flavors which ended up a gloppy muddle. Overall, it was not a joyful meal and the faces of the other diners indicated that we were not alone.

01/09/2026: Very friendly place. I got a salmon quiche, but the taste was a bit bland so it wasn’t very good. The pain suisse with pistache tasted better and had enough filling. The main problem was that for the quiche the pastery dough was kind or mushy and not flaky at all. With the pain suisse too, the dough wasn’t flaky, tasted a bit old and not very airy.

15/09/2026: I bought an ice cream about an hour ago. I went back to use the restroom, but I was refused entry. This is really not the way to treat customers.

30/08/2026: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An excellent restaurant! There were four of us, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal; the food was truly excellent from start to finish. A huge thank you also for the incredible welcome extended to our two dogs. It's so nice to find a restaurant so welcoming to animals. The staff is lovely, always smiling, very pleasant, and attentive. Honestly, we have absolutely no complaints! We will definitely return to Le Roi de Rome. We highly recommend this restaurant!

23/08/2026: We received an extremely warm welcome while waiting for our ferry, the service was very pleasant and quick, the food was very good, and we were surprised by the reasonable prices! We highly recommend it.

12/09/2026: No cheese available on Saturday night at 7.30pm with no alternative, saucisson is average and expensive 30€ almost double price vs anywhere else around. Wine by glass few choices and so-so. Very doubtful of all good reviews on Trip advisor and Google - Try another one !

24/09/2026: A very generous charcuterie platter, succulent fish, a lovely warm goat cheese salad, a tasty fish soup, and uncomplicated service – we had a great time.

24/09/2026: Don't hesitate to venture down the little alley; in addition to the quality of the food, you'll find friendly and attentive staff. Admire the restaurant's mascot, the rubber tree... it's not the little pot inside the lounge.

10/09/2026: A small, charming café that I only discovered after several days in Aix. They also offer simple lunch dishes. The vegetarian lasagna was excellent, and the service was superb. I highly recommend it.
