23/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! My first visit to this restaurant was this Sunday at lunchtime, to celebrate my father's birthday, and what a surprise! The setting is beautiful, both the interior dining room and the back room, which is located in a large glass-enclosed veranda, allowing you to admire lovely flowers, plants, etc. As for the meal, the starters, main courses, and desserts are quite simple overall, but executed to perfection. The service is also excellent. The owner knows how to make you feel comfortable, and the entire team is incredibly attentive. I wouldn't hesitate to book again at this restaurant, especially near the fireplace when it's cooler. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. I highly recommend this restaurant!

29/05/2026: Last Wednesday, to my great surprise, I saw two large, traditional-style flans (€21). I thought to myself: strange, they usually only make them on weekends (according to one of the employees I'd seen earlier). Given their very dull appearance and the presence of steam, I didn't dare ask the waitress (a rather rushed woman in her fifties) if they were fresh. When I got home, the taste was off: pronounced acidity and a slightly refrigerated flavor. In my opinion, these pastries were made sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning and hadn't been sold since. It's one of the first times I've thrown away part of a traditional flan. My opinion of Potier in general, where I've been going occasionally for several years. I've lived in Marcoussis for over 20 years. The pastries are well-made and taste great. Their galette des rois (king cake) is always excellent. As for the bread, especially the "Tradition" loaf, it has never lived up to its predecessor. Service: most of the time, the waiting customer doesn't seem to be a priority, and the tone is unprofessional. I think the counter staff are also responsible for storing the pastries. Conclusion: Mr. Potier makes very good pastries, but his bread is less convincing. However, everything related to customer service is subpar. The person in charge of this aspect seems to confuse customer with user. To top it all off, they give you a card after your purchase, dangling the promise of a trip if you leave a review. 🤦‍♂️

02/09/2026: Just so you know, the Val Grand golf course seems to be operating on a half-day schedule. From 3 pm onwards, only 9 holes are playable, and this isn't mentioned when you book. This is politely explained to you at reception, which closes at 7 pm, with the justification being the need to close the gates after the 12th hole! With a 3:40 pm tee time, I finished my 9 holes (despite a long wait) at 5:35 pm. I think it would have been possible to get past the last gate on the 12th well before 7 pm... It had been about ten years since I'd been back, so I'll wait quite a while before teeing there again.

05/04/2026: The room and bathroom were tiny. The service was appalling: there was one bed missing from our reservation, and the double bed we had booked was converted into twin beds. This twin bed was then added to the room: a sort of narrow camp bed, and we realized upon returning in the middle of the night that it only had a fitted sheet and a blanket. No top sheet or duvet cover. It was disgusting. The cleaning was poor. The noise from the planes completed the experience. At €100 a night, it's a rip-off.

30/03/2026: The atmosphere is pleasant. The service is friendly and efficient... never fast enough during busy periods... ;-) But above all, everything is of very good quality... and tastes great.

01/09/2026: Le Petit Sabayon — Morangis 91 Having visited several times about two years ago, I was looking forward to returning to Le Petit Sabayon, curious to discover a new menu and a refreshed decor. How disappointed I was… The dining room is pleasant enough, certainly, but it lacks that extra something that makes a place truly special. The setting, while agreeable, fails to create the intimate atmosphere one might expect from a bistronomic establishment. As for the food, the verdict is unfortunately less enthusiastic. The prices, relatively high for this type of restaurant, call for more refined dishes: more depth, more creativity, more contrast, and above all, more personality. The flavors seemed to lack depth, sometimes too bland, where I would have appreciated more tension and character. The portions, too, seemed particularly small considering the bill. Because these days, simply serving a dish in pretty containers isn't enough: the taste must also live up to the presentation. Added to this was the air conditioning, which wasn't working, making the experience somewhat uncomfortable, and the dining room was unfortunately too noisy to offer the hushed atmosphere I so appreciate. Finally, the €14 glass of red wine seemed particularly excessive. These remarks were made openly to the owner. I must nevertheless commend her courtesy: without me even asking, she spontaneously agreed to adjust the bill. A gesture of goodwill that I sincerely appreciated and will remember, allowing me to end this experience on a more palatable note. 27/08/2026: We went there for our wedding anniversary. A great place. Everything was perfect: refined cuisine but generous portions, truly impeccable service, lovely setting – nothing was left to chance.

27/09/2026: We are regular customers of the Auberge de l’Épine and are always very satisfied. This time we came to celebrate a family birthday. We had requested a more relaxed service so we could take our time and fully enjoy this moment together. Our request was perfectly respected. The food was excellent and the service, as always, very friendly and professional. We will gladly return!

10/10/2026: My friend and I chose to dine there at 10:45 PM and received a very warm welcome. A charming lady served us with great care and energy. Everything was perfect. The food is delicious and exactly as described. The service is exceptional. I would like to thank the lady with the colored hair, whose name I unfortunately didn't catch; I am very grateful to her.

01/09/2026: It was incredibly hot, and we ate on the terrace, right next to the traffic. It was quite noisy, of course, but we put up with it because the food was delicious. However, the cigarette smoke from the customers at the next table was really unpleasant and bothered us a lot.

19/08/2026: I've been disappointed with the tacos lately…😕 The chicken isn't always cooked enough; sometimes it's still a little pink. We even had to throw the chicken away because it wasn't cooked enough. Last year, they were really good; the meat was cooked perfectly, and the people making the tacos did a really good job. But now, unfortunately, it's not the same. I hope they can improve.
