08/09/2024: Pour nous c’est une valeur sur, nous y venons régulièrement en famille et entre amis, nous ne sommes jamais déçu. L’accueil, le service, et l’attention que l’ont vous apporte sont très agréable et lorsque l’ont nous apporte nos assiettes alors c’est autant un plaisir pour les yeux que pour les papilles. J’en salive encore

08/09/2024: We go there regularly with family or friends, it's a sure bet, the welcome and the service are friendly but when they bring us our dishes it's a delight both for the eyes and for the taste buds everything is delicious

01/12/2025: I'm leaving out the fifth star for the food, which I haven't had a chance to try yet, but the steak frites with mushroom sauce whetted my appetite this weekend. I stuck to coffee and the PMU (betting shop), and it was really great. These bars/brasseries/PMUs should be listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage! Unfortunately, they tend to disappear in favor of cold, phony concepts. Strong support to the Café du Château.

28/12/2025: The setting is exceptional and the course visually stunning; it's clearly a top-tier golf course with superb scenery, spectacular tee shots, and several truly unique tee boxes that make you want to play. Aesthetically, the site's potential is undeniable; it could easily rival the best courses. However, the reality of the game and the facilities unfortunately falls short. The driving range is extremely far away, accessed via a muddy and unpleasant path, which is neither practical nor befitting a golf course of this supposed caliber. The greens are in very poor condition: damaged, uneven, and truly unpleasant to putt on. There's a clear sense of overall neglect. Ultimately, the golf course boasts a "premium" setting, but the quality of maintenance and management is more reminiscent of a chain like UGOLF. It's a real shame, because the site has incredible potential, but currently, the playing experience doesn't live up to it at all.

10/08/2025: Shaded terrace in the garden. Very warm welcome. We had a roasted Camembert and a Caesar salad, classic recipes but served in a very original way. Very good. Don't hesitate to go up the street to the center of the village.

25/06/2025: This is a timeless restaurant, the likes of which are rarely found anymore. Quiet and tucked away in a lush garden, this restaurant combines magnificent antique decor, classic yet refined, tasty and generous cuisine, high-quality service, and a great deal of attention to detail. A rare gem.

21/06/2025: A true interlude in time. This inn, run by a woman as warm as she is passionate, offered us a moment of silence. The cuisine is generous, flavorful, and prepared with love and taste. Each dish tells a story, and the charming setting adds to the experience. A wonderful discovery that I highly recommend.

25/01/2026: A very disappointing experience, absolutely avoid it. Arrived at noon, left at 3:30 pm… for a simple lunch! 45 minutes to take our order, another 45 minutes to be served, then half an hour to have our plates cleared. Endless, slow, and completely disorganized service. What's most appalling is that, looking at the reviews, comments dating back more than six years already mention extremely slow service. Clearly, the establishment takes absolutely no account of its customers' feedback. Nothing has changed in all these years. Coke Zero was served without a visible bottle or can: probably from a large bottle, unfortunately completely flat. Savings made at the customer's expense. The side dishes are fixed, with no choice or variety: for all the meat dishes, it's always the same thing: gratin, green beans, and an endive. For years they've been serving the same cafeteria-style sides, without ever questioning their approach. If you were hoping to accompany your grilled meat or stew with some good homemade fries, forget it: "We don't make fries." No children's options on the menu. The menu is unclear and poorly explained: sides aren't listed, desserts are vague ("fruit tart"... but which ones?). You have to ask for everything. Cheese is served hastily and frankly stingily. The atmosphere and food are like something out of a retirement home: slow, sluggish, and lacking any energy. Several times, I felt like they were about to get out the Scrabble game. We even had a fit of laughter, appalled by the atmosphere and the slow service. Lots of unnecessary frills: bread served sparingly, a tiny piece per person with tongs, and on top of that, frozen bread! All this for an overpriced menu, completely unjustified given the quality, portion sizes, and service offered. Also of note, in early December 2025: Mr. Hervé Jonathan, Prefect of Eure-et-Loir, ordered the administrative closure of the establishment “Le Relais des Remparts” in Nogent-le-Roi for breaches of hygiene and maintenance regulations. If I had known all this beforehand, I would never have come! A lot of pretension, no progress despite the years, and a completely neglected customer experience. Zero stars.

04/07/2025: An easily accessible location, a peaceful setting, and a more than perfect welcome! We loved celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary there. Everything was planned to ensure the experience was seamless and enjoyable, from the aperitif to the dessert, including the kindness of the staff. The promise of a wonderful evening was kept. Thank you again.

14/09/2024: Nice restaurant bar on the main square of the city. The terrace is pleasant and on the plate, we enjoy it! The dishes are simple, well made with good products. Little extra for the choice of beer on tap and the coffee better than elsewhere!
