14/05/2024: Unfortunately I can only agree with the many bad reviews. For the first time you get cutlery that obviously hasn't been washed properly. Then some of the staff were very unfriendly. One was lazily strolling around and barely interacted with us, the other was constantly looking at you meticulously, which was very disruptive while eating. Almost non-stop staring, really. No wonder it takes a long time to get your food, even with just a few customers. I got spaghetti carbonara. But I didn't expect a raw (!!) egg to be put on it! The pasta wasn't hot enough for the egg to set. The sauce from it was also a failure. I had so much oil in my plate that he was literally swimming in it! This spaghetti carbonara took away my desire for eggs and spaghetti in the long term. The dessert at the end was positive. I ordered Café Liégeois, it was served quickly and had the perfect solid-liquid ratio, good temperature and the cream tasted fresh. We paid 44 euros for tarte flambée, two drinks, dessert and spaghetti. The price wasn't justified for the spaghetti carbonara - I wouldn't even want it for free.

01/05/2024: Ignore the bad reviews - likely form ignorant Americans with improper expectations. Know in advance it's a busy place, and it's FRENCH. The wine and rösti were top-norch. And that is coming from someone living in the land of Rösti! The staff are indeed busy, and it can seem rude, but our waitress did finally smile when she realisized I was happy with the food served. I finally saw the humanity in her, which sge doesn't get enough of from her guests. Set your expectations, check your ego at the door, and give it try - you'll be delightfully surprised!

05/04/2024: Food was OK. The tarte flambée and meat were good. Unfortunately, fries and the “Kässpätzle” weren’t as good. The restaurant is beautifully located on the canal, but we had a table quite far inside. Vegetarian options were sparse. There was no such thing as vegan.

05/04/2024: A really pretty place and the cuisine is amazing. I was able to reconcile myself with the tarte flambée, they have vegetarian options!

04/04/2024: Little café with perfect coffee and cake. Great service.

03/04/2024: We were a group of seven people and the old woman (probably the owner) said she didn’t want to serve us! Pretty weird experience!!

05/04/2024: We had a tarte flambée and a mixed salad. The tarte flambée was excellent. On the other hand, the salad was indisputable. A little grated carrots, a little beetroot, three pieces of tomato (1/4 in all), no bread, but lots of green leaves make the restaurateur rich, but leave the customer unsatisfied.

02/04/2024: Very decent service and setting, on the other hand the dishes are very average, with a mediocre braised ham and an extremely questionable and inedible potato salad... the pizza, defrosted...

05/04/2024: Perfect view over the canal, scrummy dishes, flawless wine, but most importantly we had the friendliest waitress with a constant natural smile on her face. Everything was simply magnifique.❤️

31/03/2024: We enjoyed a beef tartare and a beef rump as well as a crème brûlée here on Easter Sunday. The service was great even though it was really busy. We recommend!
