29/11/2025: We go there regularly on Saturday lunchtimes when we're in Rennes. Never disappointed. The open-faced sandwiches and soups are very good. The welcome, decor, and atmosphere are always perfect. Craft beers and cider on tap. Very fast service.

25/01/2026: I miss the old Piccadilly, the Rennes institution I knew until the 2010s. I've come back 20 years later and I'm shocked that they let the old brasserie, its woodwork, its furniture, be ruined. I thought it was a listed building. The Picca, which used to be a meeting place for celebrities, students, and bourgeois patrons enjoying Sunday lunch, has become a "trendy" spot where I had a very unpleasant experience with my hot chocolate. The welcome was borderline rude, the service rushed and almost impolite. I'm not stuck in the past, but it would have been possible to evolve the Picca with the times, something it had managed to do for decades. I won't be going back, wanting to preserve as much as possible the memory of my student days in cafés with my friends. I'm not worried about this place, packed with people who clearly enjoy themselves there.

24/01/2026: Disappointed with the dishes, the lamb shank and the beef cheek were disappointing. The lamb should have been confit, and the beef cheek should have been tender. Fortunately, the service was up to the standard of the establishment. Perhaps we'll improve on our next visit. This is a legendary place for us, one we've known for 50 years.

10/01/2026: Excellent experience at the Savoyard restaurant L’Edelweiss. The food was very good, generous, and flavorful. The service was top-notch, quick, and attentive. A warm welcome from a kind and smiling team. A truly delightful experience; we will definitely be back!

27/12/2025: We had booked for December 27th. After speaking with a very friendly employee, we cancelled the reservation because dogs are not allowed. However, on the day of our arrival, we received a call from an unpleasant and accusatory man, blaming us for not having notified them. In light of this exchange and this attitude, we obviously will not be returning to this establishment. It's a shame, because everything had gone very well during our initial contact.

28/12/2025: I do not recommend this place; the reviews no longer reflect reality. The music was too loud; we asked them to turn the volume down. The service was very unprofessional, and nothing reassuring about our arrival. The beef was presented to us as exceptional. We asked for it rare, but the piece served was charred on the surface and overcooked inside. The meat tasted like water... This beef was served with (homemade) fries. The container was only two-thirds full, and the fries were probably already cooked and reheated. The fries at the bottom of the container were broken and very dark in color. The salad served on the plate was wilted and crispy. This dish cost €32. We were guests, and out of respect for the person being honored at this dinner, we didn't make any comments. It goes without saying that we didn't order dessert. Everyone in our party was disappointed. I do not recommend this restaurant. We still paid 60 euros per person for drinks and a charcuterie board to share.
