24/05/2026: Nice restaurant, but not too many choices. The aioli wasn't great, the cod was full of bones, and the mayonnaise was curried when it should have been garlic. It would be nice to serve small fried fish with a sauce and more lemon. A smile from the waitresses wouldn't go amiss. It's a shame because the setting is very beautiful.

The quality of the products is au rendez-vous and the portions are generous. L’ambiance est chaleureuse, conviviale et parfaitement adaptate à l’esprit montagnard. Le service est attentivené, rapide et toujours avec le sourire. Le soir, le restaurant est souvent complet, il est donc strongly conseillé de reserver sa table à l’avance. Nous avons passé un excellent moment en famille, les enfants ont beaucoup aprécis et nous sommes repartis avec de très bons souvenirs. Je recomendement vivement cette adresse à tous ceux qui visitent l'Alpe du Grand-Serre! 🇺🇦 A great thematic location in Alpe du Grand Serre! Restaurant Les Mélèzes offers not only national cuisine, but also many other delicious items for every taste. Everything was cooked to a very high standard, and the service left only positive impressions. The atmosphere is cozy, warm and truly mountain. In the evenings there are usually many visitors, so I recommend booking a table in advance. We had a great time with the whole family. The children had a lot of fun, and we left in a good mood and with pleasant memories. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting Alpe du Grand Serre!

29/04/2026: Not everyone can be Paul, and not everyone can be Melanie either… I must emphasize the immense respect I owe to employees who are dedicated to their work, especially in a time when the concept of work is under attack and professionalism is being sidelined… She served me with a smile and the welcome befitting someone representing such a brand. The bakery was open a little too early, with her till already set up, but she didn't hesitate to serve me with a smile, even though she was still getting ready. That really counts! And as a result, my Americano and buttered toast were absolutely delicious… 🙏 Thank you

21/03/2026: I honestly think this is one of the worst value-for-money experiences I've seen in a long time! It's practically a rip-off (and I'm being polite when I say that). I calmly ordered three portions of fries to go from Le Dolilou… and then, surprise: €22.50. Yes, you read that right. For fries! 😳 And the kicker: the justification. “They're homemade and cooked in beef fat.” Really? So what? Does that make fries a luxury item? Are we supposed to applaud or break out the champagne? Frankly, either they're taking their customers for fools (which it certainly seems like), or they have a serious problem with their market positioning. Even near a ski resort, even during peak tourist season, there are limits, and here, they've been completely blown out of the water! As for the “homemade” claim… I have serious doubts, given the result. I definitely don't recommend it! Move along, there's bound to be better elsewhere for that price (and even for three or two less).

25/05/2026: Excellent restaurant. My husband and I go there regularly and always enjoy it. Everything is simple and friendly, and the frogs' legs are exquisite. And the people who greet and serve us are incredibly kind. Highly recommended!

15/04/2026: From start to finish, you deserve zero. I'm only referring to the snack bar area because we initially wanted to enjoy a proper restaurant, but apparently, given the lack of customers, it was too complicated to tell us that the "restaurant" section was located just upstairs. The snack bar experience was simply dreadful. Good luck with everything, even though your situation will still allow you to manage quite well. It's a shame; others deserve it so much more. For us, that's it for the next few years.

01/05/2026: May 1, 2026, we wanted to try the frogs' legs... a huge disappointment, no parsley flavor at all, bland, shameful. To eat good frogs' legs, go to the restaurant in the park in Versailleux in the Dombes region; you won't be disappointed.

19/02/2026: Absolutely avoid this place! After my third visit, I'm just as disappointed! The quality is truly mediocre for the prices! You're much better off choosing the pizza or burger places in the area!

19/02/2026: The waitress was friendly but embarrassed by her own boss! It's awkward to tell the person doing the payroll that it's the customers who fill the tills. McDonald's is better value for money than this very, very mediocre establishment in my opinion.

31/05/2026: At 1 p.m., I went in to ask for a latte with ice cubes to bring in. The owner told me it was too complicated to make during service. His tone was very unpleasant, and he concluded by saying that the café across the street had no business being there, so I should go there. I'm glad I didn't try to eat at this restaurant, considering other recent customer experiences…

07/06/2026: We went for a drink at the bandstand. The place is lovely; we were sitting by the fountain under the parasols, perfect. However, we were served by a man who I initially thought was drunk, but then I wasn't so sure... He was talking to himself, didn't listen to anything we asked, tried to steer our order without considering our preferences, made strange remarks, and was rather disdainful... What a shame...

29/05/2026: It was my first time there, and the experience was truly disappointing. I ordered a Bora Peach non-alcoholic cocktail... It was the first and last time. The cocktail was nothing but ice cubes... You couldn't taste the pineapple juice, the peach juice, or the coconut milk. Frankly, paying €8.90 for a non-alcoholic cocktail and getting NOTHING BUT ICE CUBES in the glass is simply unacceptable and shameful. And on top of that, the servers weren't very friendly. I don't think I'll be going back to this brasserie, which is a shame because it's ideally located on Place Victor Hugo.
