01/08/2026: We had lunch as a group of five and had a lovely time. The service was very friendly and attentive to our requests. The generous portions, well-prepared, were delicious. I highly recommend this conveniently located establishment.

18/08/2026: We'd been coming to this restaurant for years under its old name. We were curious to see the changes. We ignored the bad reviews. No wait for a table at 7:30 pm. The food was really good (the prices are higher than before, but the increase was noticeable everywhere): tender meat, cooked as requested, homemade fries, and fresh salad. If I had to make one comment, I would have liked a little more salad. The only downside, which has been mentioned in other reviews, is the service. However, I'd be more moderate. The service wasn't unpleasant, but not particularly cheerful or friendly either. We noticed it from everyone, and for us, it wasn't a matter of bad temper. The waiters/waitresses just seemed exhausted. It's been incredibly hot for weeks, the customers aren't particularly pleasant, and perhaps there's some tension in the kitchen... So yes, it's part of the job, but for us, it matters. We're only human! Hopefully, they'll find the motivation to make guests want to return several times during their stay. We'll be back! Note: the peace and quiet and the view!

06/05/2026: We received a very warm welcome. We explored Martel on foot, leaving our car in the hotel parking lot. Our room for three adults was spacious, functional, and clean, with quality bedding. The breakfast was generous, and we hope to enjoy the restaurant again sometime. We wish your chef a speedy recovery and all the best. Thank you for your advice on visiting the Padirac Cave. 20/04/2026: We stopped at this hotel while hiking. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The owner was very friendly when he served us breakfast.

11/08/2026: The week's menu, served in generous portions and with a smile (pâté and crudités as a starter, stuffed tomatoes and guinea fowl, a cheese platter and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a bed of grapes), gave us the energy to continue our journey on the Camino de Santiago. Everything is generously homemade, a true delight for the taste buds from start to finish! You can taste the passion and love for homemade food in every dish. 24/05/2026: Large but noisy terrace (next to a busy road) Decent food, nothing exceptional Friendly but inconsistent service (the waiters walk past you 10 times without looking at you, and you have to ask twice for salt and pepper)

19/05/2026: Friendly service, pleasant place. But there it stops. Ok it was a Sunday evening, most other restaurants were closed. Hence busy. The cook was maybe overstretched. Franch fries were a joke: some soft stuff in a paper bag. Vegetables, courgette were soft and partly burned. The meat could have been reasoble, but partly burned to charcoal. It was not cheap. Pity, as mentioned, people were fine.

29/12/2025: The food was undeniably excellent. We received a very warm welcome. We were a little surprised by the wait, but nothing unbearable. The price was slightly higher than we expected. It's still a reliable establishment.

17/07/2026: What a beautiful place, but what terrible service. After ten minutes, I went to ask if there was anyone who could help. The cappuccino was served without milk. Because (it turned out later) they were out of stock. And the bill was 9 euros. For 1 cappuccino without milk. That was ‘a mistake’ and was rectified by the grumpy gentleman. A terrible shame. I look forward to spending a few hours here. PS I was on your terrace, not the neighbor's (the red/grey chairs)

28/02/2026: I had couscous at the restaurant "Le Chant du Coq," and frankly, the food was a success. The restaurant is pleasant, the dining room quite attractive, and the atmosphere simple and friendly. It's a comfortable place to be. The couscous itself was truly excellent. The semolina was perfectly prepared, light, and plentiful. The meats were flavorful and cooked to perfection, with a special mention for the chicken and merguez sausages. The vegetables were meltingly tender, and the broth was wonderfully fragrant. Frankly, I thoroughly enjoyed it. You can tell the chef has real skill in the kitchen. However, the service is clearly below the standard of the food. There was a bit of a wait for a menu, and if you don't ask for it, you don't get it automatically. The same goes for some aspects of the service: you have to ask for it. It's not disastrous, but it's neither smooth nor very professional. It's a shame, because the quality of the food deserves more structured and attentive service. In summary: Excellent food, the couscous was really very good, but the service could be improved. If you come for a good meal, you won't be disappointed.

14/06/2026: A wonderful discovery of this peaceful and pleasant place in a beautiful region. The warm welcome from the owners, the delicious meals, and the ambiance made us feel like we were staying with friends. We were delighted with our stay.

23/05/2026: We chose this inn for its amenities (set menu, swimming pool, waterfront location), its promising photos and reviews, but once there, we were very disappointed. Our reservation for the set menu on the first evening was forgotten, so we had to go out again for dinner. The swimming pool wasn't open, and the grounds were poorly maintained. Air fresheners were placed on every electrical outlet in the hallway to mask the damp smell of the building, and the rooms smelled musty. The couple who run the establishment are English; while he makes an effort to speak French, she doesn't, which severely limits communication.
