15/01/2026: Good evening, We stayed at the estate for New Year's Eve. It's a place outside of time and hustle and bustle, wonderful and relaxing. The meal was of exceptional quality, prepared with unconditional respect and love for the ingredients. Everything is done to enhance the quality of the ingredients in the dishes and the products available for purchase on-site. We were treated to a very welcoming family who readily share their knowledge and who truly love, with great respect, the nature that surrounds them! Thank you for your kindness and for sharing your home with us! We hope to return soon, perhaps in the spring to see the wildflowers!

03/04/2026: The food wasn't great; the best thing was the chicken, and even that wasn't delicious—just dry, reheated chicken with potatoes, that's it. They piled potatoes and lettuce on every dish.

03/05/2026: A lovely little restaurant we discovered on our way from Sarlat to Cahors. It's run by a couple: he handles the service but also prepares the duck dishes, while she cooks up some delicious meals. We enjoyed the Arctic char and the foie gras mille-feuille. The desserts, however, were a bit less impressive. I recommend it; it deserves to be supported.

12/04/2026: Despite a dining room with dated but not unattractive decor and a certain level of comfort, the overall experience was undeniably disappointing. The welcome was mediocre and the service extremely slow (two hours between our arrival and the end of our main course, after an appetizer). The carpaccio of a trout riddled with bones. The sweetbreads were swimming in water. The veal was overcooked. Only the white fish was flavorful. In short, this restaurant has undoubtedly had its heyday and may cater to a less demanding local clientele, but it is clearly no longer up-to-date or competitive for those traveling in the region and France in general.

10/04/2026: A timeless place with excellent traditional cuisine and very welcoming and friendly owners. We had a wonderful Easter Monday lunch.

14/04/2026: This is my second visit to this restaurant, and we have always received a warm welcome. The food is good and we had a pleasant time.

30/12/2025: I am very disappointed regarding the origin of the products I purchased. Two days ago, while passing through Figeac, we bought, among other things, goose rillettes. Not having my glasses to read the origin of the meat, I asked the shop owner if it was French, and he confirmed it was. Once home, I checked, and unfortunately, the meat is from the EU. I would never have bought it if I had known. This is dishonest.

19/03/2026: Catastrophic, rude waiters, never come here. They're overwhelmed and they make you feel it more than anything. A little extra for the Caucasian waiter who pushes you to get ahead and the black bartender who speaks rudely to you. Avoid at all costs!

18/11/2025: Weekend with my wife, at a hotel-restaurant I know very well from my business trips. We had a room on the first floor in the building before the main building. The room was simple but perfectly adequate. Comfortable bed, new bathroom, large balcony with a breathtaking view of the canyon. The breakfast was plentiful and very reasonably priced. The staff is always very welcoming and smiling, which is lovely! I'm a loyal customer of this 2-star hotel, which offers very reasonable prices considering its website. Never disappointed, I'll keep coming back. Please don't change a thing!

06/11/2025: Everything was perfect: the welcome, the meal, the service. The dishes were generous and hot. I highly recommend it.

30/12/2025: Great atmosphere, especially now that there's an indoor room for cooler off-season evenings. Excellent cocktails, wood-fired dishes, pizzas... I highly recommend it.

02/05/2026: We were regulars at this place, coming once or twice a month, all year round. It was always delicious. We usually ordered the Ocean Salad, which had superb pieces of salmon. Today, the salmon was half the size; I suspect it's no longer homemade, unlike in previous years. There used to be a white herb sauce, but it's been replaced by a cheap vinegar that we had to search for in the salad. In short, we were more than disappointed by the entire meal, which was tasteless. I used to recommend it to everyone visiting Rocamadour, which I won't do anymore. We'll look for another place, but we won't be coming back to La Maison Familiale. The value for money is disappointing in every way.
