28/02/2026: I had couscous at the restaurant "Le Chant du Coq," and frankly, the food was a success. The restaurant is pleasant, the dining room quite attractive, and the atmosphere simple and friendly. It's a comfortable place to be. The couscous itself was truly excellent. The semolina was perfectly prepared, light, and plentiful. The meats were flavorful and cooked to perfection, with a special mention for the chicken and merguez sausages. The vegetables were meltingly tender, and the broth was wonderfully fragrant. Frankly, I thoroughly enjoyed it. You can tell the chef has real skill in the kitchen. However, the service is clearly below the standard of the food. There was a bit of a wait for a menu, and if you don't ask for it, you don't get it automatically. The same goes for some aspects of the service: you have to ask for it. It's not disastrous, but it's neither smooth nor very professional. It's a shame, because the quality of the food deserves more structured and attentive service. In summary: Excellent food, the couscous was really very good, but the service could be improved. If you come for a good meal, you won't be disappointed.

15/06/2026: Flawless service, from the welcome to the bill. The waiter/chef took the time to offer advice and share a joke, and the owner was incredibly attentive to her customers. The portions were generous. The dishes were simple but made with high-quality ingredients. Personally, I couldn't ask for more, and we'll be back to try other dishes from this enticing menu. A big thank you to you both for this wonderful culinary experience.

02/06/2026: 5 euros for a half-pint of wheat beer. They're treating us like we're dumber than we are. First and last time, what a shame, but the staff were nice!

25/05/2026: Avoid this restaurant at all costs!! We simply ordered sandwiches and coffees, and it cost €6 for tasteless bread and mass-produced salami. A rip-off! Stay away! Nice view.

03/05/2026: A lovely little restaurant we discovered on our way from Sarlat to Cahors. It's run by a couple: he handles the service but also prepares the duck dishes, while she cooks up some delicious meals. We enjoyed the Arctic char and the foie gras mille-feuille. The desserts, however, were a bit less impressive. I recommend it; it deserves to be supported.

21/06/2026: Everything was perfect. The service, the meal, the price, and the view. Perhaps there was a little too much service for one person, but he handled it very well.

17/06/2026: The place might seem idyllic, but as soon as we arrived, we sat down to a table that hadn't been cleared, with bottles, glasses, and, worst of all, an ashtray that stank and was overflowing with tobacco. The waiters walked right past us without clearing the table or taking our order. There were four of us, and after fifteen minutes, we left. In this line of work, tourists should be treated with respect.

28/06/2026: Excellent dinner for three friends; the dining room is more beautiful than the facade suggests, the service was friendly and welcoming, and all the dishes on the €39 regional menu were delicious.

23/05/2026: We chose this inn for its amenities (set menu, swimming pool, waterfront location), its promising photos and reviews, but once there, we were very disappointed. Our reservation for the set menu on the first evening was forgotten, so we had to go out again for dinner. The swimming pool wasn't open, and the grounds were poorly maintained. Air fresheners were placed on every electrical outlet in the hallway to mask the damp smell of the building, and the rooms smelled musty. The couple who run the establishment are English; while he makes an effort to speak French, she doesn't, which severely limits communication.

10/05/2026: The setting is pleasant and welcoming; it's a shame I stopped by on a very quiet evening. The food is good but could perhaps use a bit more originality, at least in the presentation—no doubt due to its recent reopening. It has great potential for improvement and growing in popularity.

17/05/2026: We had a great time as a family. The restaurant menu had a good selection. The children could play in the park while waiting for their food. Eight bowling lanes 🎳 – fantastic! There are also arcade games nearby. Everything you need for a great evening :-) 😀
