14/10/2025: In the pedestrian heart of Mende. Nice setting and original decor. Very friendly waiter and owner! Delicious knife-cut tartare with high-quality meat! Excellent value for money. We would have loved homemade fries... so we'll be back 😉

25/10/2025: Let's be honest, the hotel is dated, but the rooms are extremely clean, and the shower is brand new with a multi-directional jet of water that's a real treat. The lighting in the room is so bright you feel like they're trying to X-ray you. There's probably a button somewhere that fixes that (problem). Then there's the restaurant, in a word, fantastic. The dishes (both local and international) were absolutely top-notch. Both in terms of taste and presentation, they were a real treat. The house wine was delicious, and the espresso was typically French; they simply can't do that. If you stop at any gas station in Spain or Portugal, you'll just get a liquid bonbon. In France, you just can't do that. Breakfast? Totally my thing, simple, but if the croissant is top-notch, I'm happy. No cheese, no cold cuts, and no eggs—just the way the French experience it. Two very charming ladies, both in the restaurant and at breakfast, and you're off on your way with a wonderful feeling. I wandered around the area a bit after dinner and saw that they were the only restaurant that was packed, which speaks volumes, I think.
One more thing about Aligot: I remember them pulling cheese strings up to the ceiling, while I think this one has been adapted a bit for tourists. Will I be back? If I'm ever in the area, definitely.

14/12/2025: This restaurant has a two-course meal deal: half a pizza and a salad, which is perfect for a light dinner. The pizza crust is thin, which I particularly appreciate because it's lighter in the evening. This allows you to indulge a little more on dessert; I recommend the profiteroles—I've never had such good ones. The Saint-Chinian red wine by the glass was excellent. Great restaurant!
13/11/2025: We received a warm welcome; the waitress who served our table was very kind and efficient. The food was excellent, the restaurant has old vaulted cellars, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We will definitely return. My friends and I are from Mende, but reservations are necessary. It was a Saturday evening, and the following Monday at lunchtime, we couldn't get a table as it was fully booked, and we arrived without a reservation as a group of six.

29/01/2026: It's more like a two-star than a three-star hotel. I was given a supposedly luxury room without being told it was a special room for disabled guests. While I have nothing against disabled people, it would have been helpful to be informed beforehand. The rooms are mediocre and often very noisy in the morning showers, with no hot water – in short, a disaster.
Not to mention the noise from the upstairs neighbor until midnight, when it sounded like she was moving furniture. The reception was pleasant enough, and the hostess isn't to blame, but overall, not a great experience.

We are writing to express our dissatisfaction as we are regular customers of this establishment, particularly with our band Mustang. Our dissatisfaction may stem from the staff being different.
Firstly, despite having a reservation the day before, the table wasn't ready! Surprising...
We were celebrating my mother-in-law's 90th birthday discreetly, ordering a bottle of champagne which took a while to arrive, but was followed very (too) quickly by the menu, leaving us no time to enjoy it... While the service is usually very attentive, this time it left much to be desired (clearing the dishes, providing fresh cutlery, etc.).
What a disappointment for us, as we used to recommend this place. And to top it all off, after a trip to the restroom, a young waiter told the manager, "We can't stay here much longer!" She then came over to tell us to leave because they were closing. Unheard of! It was disappointing that a table with many guests was only served dessert... The golf course is well-maintained with a varied course, and the lessons with Julie ASSENAT are friendly.

12/10/2025: During a stopover on the Stevenson, I reluctantly booked a half-board stay at this establishment because there were no more places available. Indeed, based on the rating, I preferred to contact others, all of which were fully booked at that time.
While all the accommodations we stayed in were remarkable throughout our week of hiking, this one was the exception. You need one. It was a very rainy Sunday after a long stage. The welcome was brisk.
So we went for a drink in the bar next door. When I arrived at the table, I couldn't stomach the lasagna, apparently served every night and whose reputation is known as far away as Florac. I had to insist on substituting four slices of cheap vacuum-packed ham. And of course, the waitress didn't smile at all.
The atmosphere was heavy, and I couldn't wait to get to my room, which was standard and quite decent, by the way. In the morning, I expressed my disappointment to the receptionist, who told me that all I had to do was write a review to ease my mind, which I'm currently doing.
My feelings are sincere and kind, and I think that with an effort on the reception, by making it more pleasant and warm, and the evening meal more appetizing, and by treating hikers as human beings and not walking wallets, this establishment would naturally see its rating rise.
In fact, we were delighted with the six other establishments we frequented from Landos to Florac, and I let them know the same.
So, we have to choose between generating satisfaction or the opposite!!!🤷🏼
I'm sure that with a little goodwill, anything is possible...

09/10/2025: I walked through the door with a smile, but they didn't give it back to me! On the other hand, the daily special (chicken rice) was actually good! Thanks, cook! It was changed to the price of the full menu, from 14 euros to 19 euros. And still with a grimace.

09/09/2024: Emblematic establishment of Nasbinals making hotel, bar and restaurant... you eat excellent Lozerian recipes with local products... festive village atmosphere, which does not prevent you from sleeping well after a long day of hiking 👍

14/09/2024: Sur le trajet Castres Lyon, nous nous sommes arrêtés dans ce restaurant suite au reportage télévisé sur le chef. Nous avons passé un très agréable moment. La brasserie a un cadre très moderne qui surprend au départ. Une équipe de jeunes serveurs et serveuses bien sympathiques. De bons produits locaux bien travaillés. Le service est rapide. Nous nous sommes régalés. Une super halte à proximité de la A75. Prochain objectif le restaurant étoilé de Cyril Attrazic!

04/09/2024: la personne qui m'accompagnait a commandé un carré la parisienne : pain dur sur les bordures et des doses homéopathiques de jambon, de crème et de fromage.
12 euros cinquante.
J'ai vu à mon retour, en passant chez mon boulanger, bien plus correct pour 3 euros...
Messieurs, il est temps de faire un effort sur le rapport qualité-prix.
