14/09/2024: Sur le trajet Castres Lyon, nous nous sommes arrêtés dans ce restaurant suite au reportage télévisé sur le chef. Nous avons passé un très agréable moment. La brasserie a un cadre très moderne qui surprend au départ. Une équipe de jeunes serveurs et serveuses bien sympathiques. De bons produits locaux bien travaillés. Le service est rapide. Nous nous sommes régalés. Une super halte à proximité de la A75. Prochain objectif le restaurant étoilé de Cyril Attrazic!

03/10/2025: I just saw the comment from someone pretending to be me. I'm very surprised and I'm going to report it to the relevant authorities to make sure it wasn't me. Here's what I think: I discovered a friendly, pleasant family, always available for their customers... it's a well-located and very welcoming bar. I recommend you go there.

03/10/2025: I'm only rating the restaurant. I booked with the fork but this is the first time I've been disappointed by the app. The description really doesn't live up to reality. A single worker's meal for 20 euros when we expected more refined dishes from the photos on the website (see photos): Aveyron salad and 1 stuffed tomato, cauliflower, potatoes, flavorless tarte tatin and crème caramel. A little ashamed to have brought my partner to this restaurant for a birthday... It's rare but I really don't recommend it. I'm giving it 2 stars because the waitress was very kind...

24/08/2024: Seconde visite dans cet établissement. Restaurant soigné, beaucoup de travail en cuisine et une belle sélection de produits régionaux. Le service était impeccable. Mention spéciale pour les « à côté » du dîner comme le beurre, le pain et les amuses-bouche.

26/08/2024: Bel endroit mais accueil déplorable ! 10 minutes après s’être installés à une table inoccupée et non réservée, nous nous sommes faits dégager avec notre boisson pour laisser la place à la restauration !!! La patronne est vraiment très désagréable. On ne conseille pas du tout

18/08/2024: Très bonne cuisine! Par contre on s est fait copieusement engueuler parce qu on avait réservé pour midi et on est arrivé à 12h 20!!!! Dommage de se faire accueillir de cette façon!!!!!

12/10/2025: During a stopover on the Stevenson, I reluctantly booked a half-board stay at this establishment because there were no more places available. Indeed, based on the rating, I preferred to contact others, all of which were fully booked at that time. While all the accommodations we stayed in were remarkable throughout our week of hiking, this one was the exception. You need one. It was a very rainy Sunday after a long stage. The welcome was brisk. So we went for a drink in the bar next door. When I arrived at the table, I couldn't stomach the lasagna, apparently served every night and whose reputation is known as far away as Florac. I had to insist on substituting four slices of cheap vacuum-packed ham. And of course, the waitress didn't smile at all. The atmosphere was heavy, and I couldn't wait to get to my room, which was standard and quite decent, by the way. In the morning, I expressed my disappointment to the receptionist, who told me that all I had to do was write a review to ease my mind, which I'm currently doing. My feelings are sincere and kind, and I think that with an effort on the reception, by making it more pleasant and warm, and the evening meal more appetizing, and by treating hikers as human beings and not walking wallets, this establishment would naturally see its rating rise. In fact, we were delighted with the six other establishments we frequented from Landos to Florac, and I let them know the same. So, we have to choose between generating satisfaction or the opposite!!!🤷🏼 I'm sure that with a little goodwill, anything is possible... Courage!

09/10/2025: I walked through the door with a smile, but they didn't give it back to me! On the other hand, the daily special (chicken rice) was actually good! Thanks, cook! It was changed to the price of the full menu, from 14 euros to 19 euros. And still with a grimace.

26/08/2024: Parfait, comme d'habitude, tout est excellent, la charcuterie, la cote de boeuf, l andouillette, allez y les yeux fermés ! Une véritable institution à connaître.

24/08/2024: De retour après une escale enchanteresse il y a plusieurs années, nous nous empressions d'y revenir. Repas du dîner : menu à 34 euros. Plat du jour rôti de porc complètement fade, plus mou que fondant, comme bouilli dans l'eau. Servi avec jardinière de légumes surcuite constituée de petits cubes de carottes et pommes de terre insipides. Repas du déjeuner : menu à 34. L'entrée du jour nous est annoncée comme étant "crudités". Nous nous attendions alors à une variété de racines rafraîchissantes et agréablement assaisonnées. En fait : une bien triste salade de laitue avec comme seuls aromatisants de petits lardons sans saveur et à la qualité suspecte. Plat du jour proposé : rôti de veau. Coool, ça va changer du porc. Que nenni ! La copie conforme du rôti de porc précédant, au point à ne pas remarquer le changement d'espèce animale. Accompagnement proposé, "gratin de pomme de terre au four". En fait, une bouillie gorgée d'eau et surcuite d'oignons et de lamelles de PdT. Seuls points corrects de ces deux repas, les cuisses de grenouilles (mais il faut savoir que celles-ci proviennent systématiquement d'élevages asiatiques de qualité et règlementations douteuses), puis la sole meunière dont la préparation ne nécessite pas une cuisine élaborée. Petit-déjeuner : 10 euros servi avec jus d'orange, viennoiserie et morceaux de baguette, beurre et confiture industrielle en doses unitaires. La honte la question : "désirez-vous un yaourt ?" Ce qui sous-entend que le tarif est identique sans celui-ci. Quelle talentueuse économie madame Tichit !... Comparativement aux buffets plus complets à volonté et moins chers d'autres hôtels 2 étoiles. A notre précédant passage, excellent café arabica serré. Aujourd'hui, dominance de médiocre robusta excessivement dilué. En conclusion : Sincèrement, l'ensemble des repas servis me font irrésistiblement penser à de la cuisine industrielle servie dans certains groupes scolaires, hôpitaux et EHPAD. La grande économie par profit de la notoriété auparavant justifiée et qui rempli encore la salle d'habitués nostalgiques...pour un temps seulement.

23/06/2026: An extraordinary stay at the end of May. The food was excellent and the dishes beautifully presented. We loved the very well-preserved, authentic building, enhanced by the vegetation climbing its walls. The surrounding nature is sublime, peaceful, and well-maintained. We were able to relax in the evenings playing billiards and ping-pong in the castle's many rooms. Our room was very pleasant despite its low price; it was very clean, typical, and historic, and the atmosphere was very calming. The staff was very helpful; a big thank you to Jean-François, the owner.
