22/09/2024: Nous avons attendu un bon moment pour recevoir notre apéro en je n ai pas reçu le bon coktail,5 minutes après nous avons eu notre entrée je lui ai demandé d attendre un peu pour le plat car nous avions toujours notre apéro 2 minutes après on a reçu le plat car le serveur était dans un état avancer d'ébriété avec des propros très désagréable en 25 minutes nous avons tous reçu et n avons que l apéro

21/09/2024: ¡No vayas a este lugar! Pasé a las 6 pm. Dijeron que no había comida hasta las 7 pm. Pedimos vino y bebidas antes de la cena anticipando una buena comida. A las 7 pm, dijeron que llegábamos demasiado tarde, no tenemos espacio y no se puede comer aquí. Tan sorprendido, decepcionado y hambriento. Ahora sabemos por qué algunos franceses son considerados groseros y desconsiderados.

23/07/2024: Very warm welcome in this prestigious hotel. Meal at the brasserie and really good breakfast. And ideally located in the heart of the city. Thank you for these beautiful moments spent in Chalon-en-Champagne.

18/07/2024: Have a room with city view. Very nice and comfy bed. Spacious bathroom with big bath tub and also shower room. Very new and clean bath robes and towels. Private parking available for €10/day. There are two very good restaurants on the premise. One is fine dining which was very good.

04/09/2024: I have come to eat at this establishment many times but I haven't been there for almost a year. Yesterday I showed up there with my son at 11:52 a.m.... the look of the waitress immediately made us understand that it was way too early for her... The cook must not understand the word "hello" or must not be able to answer it despite several attempts. My chair is completely loose, so I'm taking the liberty of exchanging it with another... which a priori I don't like! We don't put the card on the table without a word!!!! The restaurant is deserted and the waitress is waiting behind the bar.... but we still wait for noon to come and ask us if we want to drink something..... The daily menu does not suit us and the welcome even less! We left and I will never set foot there again. Fuck these traders who are bothered by their customers!!!

20/09/2024: Ik heb een week gewacht om deze recensie te schrijven, omdat ik mijn mooie moment niet wilde laten verpesten door de vreselijke ervaring die ik had bij Excelsior. Voor mijn huwelijksaanzoek had ik gereserveerd om deze bijzondere dag te vieren, maar het restaurant heeft dit moment volledig verpest. Het begon al toen ik vooraf belde om te vragen of er iets speciaals gedaan kon worden voor ons. De medewerker die ik aan de lijn had, reageerde onbeschoft en onvriendelijk, maar ik besloot het door de vingers te zien, hopende dat het ter plaatse beter zou zijn. Toen we eenmaal aankwamen in het restaurant, kregen we meteen rare blikken, en ik kreeg het gevoel dat we niet welkom waren. Dit gevoel liet ik wederom passeren, maar het zette de toon voor de rest van de avond. We bestelden oesters, en tot onze schok waren enkele van deze bedorven. Toen we dit meldden, kregen we geen enkele verontschuldiging. De oesters werden met tegenzin vervangen door slechts twee nieuwe exemplaren, en op een geïrriteerde toon werd ons verteld dat bedorven oesters in de zomer "kan gebeuren". De manier waarop we behandeld werden was ronduit onrespectvol en intimiderend. Mijn partner werd uiteindelijk misselijk door de bedorven oesters, en toen we dit meldden, kregen we wederom een grote mond van de medewerker. Geen enkel medeleven, alleen maar discussie en defensief gedrag. Door zijn gedrag hebben we ons hoofdgerecht niet eens meer opgegeten. We hebben snel afgerekend en zijn meteen teruggegaan naar ons hotel, omdat de sfeer en behandeling volledig verpest waren. Ik zou dit restaurant absoluut NIET aanraden, en ik hoop dat anderen een betere ervaring hebben dan wij, al lijkt dat op basis van hoe wij behandeld zijn zeer onwaarschijnlijk.

16/09/2024: Un cadre chic qui est l'arbre qui cache la forêt. Une table de 10 personnes, pas une seule satisfaite de son plat. Un dressage des plats digne d'une cantine scolaire. Un goût bien moindre des plats congelés de métro vendu 5 fois le prix. Des serveurs corrects mais le service est bien trop long, 3h d'attente. Vraiment à fuir.

08/09/2024: The snack bar is managed by a very caring, attentive and friendly couple. I had ordered a mixed plate, and was warned that it would take a little time. In the end, the wait was quite reasonable, around ten minutes. The customers were also very friendly and loyal. Despite certain prices, I remain satisfied and highly recommend this restaurant.
