25/08/2024: Good food and a very nice wine list with fantastic champagnes. We will go back to drink champagne again and because the food is just good, no punishment. We did spend more due to the exclusive champagne (Dehours Maisoncelle Perpetuelle 2021), but otherwise you can get it for Euro 50 pp. If you don't feel like champagne, there are also coteaux de champagne on the menu. That is normal wine from the same region. We also drank a gem of that. Another Dehours.

30/08/2024: Bar / Pub without much interest, cruel lack of professionalism with unwelcoming servers and an atmosphere that makes you want to flee... We quickly feel that the client only represents a portfolio, business and nothing else. Don't want to set foot there again for a penny!

01/09/2024: Arrivé sans réservation a deux adultes et trois enfants, nous avons été pris aussitôt. Service rapide et cuisine vraiment délicieuse. C'est la deuxième fois que nous y allons et nous n'avons pas été déçus. Serveurs vraiment très courtois et souriants. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter. Petit bémol : il faudrait que la ville agisse rapidement pour les guêpes qui envahissent les terrasses.

Unfortunately, our visit was ruined upon our arrival at 1:30 p.m. We were unceremoniously refused, and without any alternative being offered to us. What made the situation worse was that the employee, instead of looking for a solution, complained about the lack of staff. An experience far from what we hoped for. Too bad for an establishment with such a good reputation

02/08/2024: On the roundabout at the foot of the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay sits this super little bistro. Busy from morning to midnight it’s an affable crowd of locals and tourists. We had super service from a smashing bearded waiter in a cap and would venture the menu choix to be the charcuterie board accompanied by the cheese board. And champagne by the bottle.

30/07/2024: We’ve visited here before last year so decided to give it another try. It’s obviously a very popular bar as tables outside are always at a premium so after a short wait, we we’re finally shown to a table. Service is a bit hit and miss and we waited a good while to order our first drinks so decided we’d order food at the same time. We’d already had a good meal at lunchtime so nothing fancy and ordered croque Monsieurs. Despite ordering everything in my schoolboy French, we didn’t feel the staff really cared much. It’s all a bit frantic and drinks prices are expensive compared to other places. Not sure if we’d return again now that we’ve found other alternatives.
