30/03/2026: We stopped by with our family this weekend just for dinner. We received a very warm welcome. The waiter was attentive and considerate, and the food was excellent. The place is simple, and the menu is well-chosen. A great find.

17/06/2025: We arrived with 7 instructions that we wanted to have taken into account, as we do every time to release the cart. Two people refused, claiming they had to keep them with us until checkout, in an unfriendly tone. I nevertheless left the instructions in full view of the people involved, and when we went to the checkout, one of the people present when we arrived claimed that he hadn't seen our instructions and couldn't take them into account. In addition to being dishonest and a liar, this person is rude and has a serious problem with zeal. Fortunately, the majority of the staff are friendly at this establishment, which we have frequented regularly for a very long time. Furthermore, we could return the instructions without shopping. How would you do that in that case? What is the procedure?

25/10/2025: When I see all the parking lots with height barriers (even in the countryside) and parking bans for vehicles over two meters tall I prefer to move on and support the businesses in a town that accepts motorhomes.

24/10/2025: The restaurant was very well received and clean, but the food was basic, hence the rating. It would really be worth improving the food and the quantity.

08/03/2026: We usually come here to eat from time to time, either before or after grocery shopping! I don't know if the owners have changed! But this time, we were disappointed! It says 80% homemade! I ordered a flank steak with Roquefort sauce, accompanied by fries and ratatouille! The meat was very good, but the fries weren't homemade and were lukewarm. The ratatouille was bland, and some of the vegetables were a bit too crunchy! And everything was lukewarm! Even though it was reheated at my request!! It was still very mediocre! I saw a hamburger go by for a table whose bun was burnt, top and bottom! But perhaps that was what the customer requested 🥴 We are very surprised! I sincerely hope it was just a one-off that day!

10/03/2026: Pleasant hotel, responsible staff, accommodating reception, late arrival, key box. We had a problem with a coffee machine and the staff were very responsive. The hotel is well located, the room was spacious. We came with a baby and frankly, we had a pleasant stay and we will return.

23/02/2026: I was very relaxed there because there is a receptionist who can speak Japanese!

31/03/2026: Had a really good rump steak with pepper sauce, chips and salad. This was March 2026, so a very quiet period. Service was great and proprietor was very helpful. I knew of his reputation but feel that if you are reasonable then he will be very accommodating. The place is very cosy with a fire burning in the fireplace.

04/03/2026: The setting is beautiful, but the crepes aren't good—too doughy and not crispy enough. Furthermore, the waitresses aren't friendly; I feel like I'm bothering them.

24/02/2026: The service was very good, the setting very nice, but unfortunately the food didn't live up to the rest. The galettes were overcooked and lacked filling (which is all the more disappointing given that the menu outside advertises "Generous").

02/12/2025: This was our second visit to Surcouf and we love it. Service was friendly and efficient and all the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Duck pâté, fish sharing board, sole and steak all fabulous… Thank you!
