14/08/2026: Deplorable, and yet it had started so well… The portions were generous and the welcome seemed quite pleasant at first. But once our food arrived, we were invaded by dozens of flies in our plates. We alerted the waiters, who could see us removing the flies from our plates every three seconds. Unfortunately, no solution was offered. The most shocking thing was the lack of professionalism: every time the waiters walked by, they laughed at the situation. The oldest waiter even thought it appropriate to say to me, "Well, yes, Madam, you live in the countryside." I'm sorry, but I live in the countryside myself and I don't have flies in my food! 😡 We would have simply appreciated being offered a different table or, failing that, some kind of compensation. We ended up leaving our plates, so disgusted were we, and had to eat quickly while trying to avoid the flies. What's even more regrettable isn't just the fly problem, but especially the way the staff took the situation lightly and even ridiculed it. A very disappointing experience. We absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

01/06/2026: Stayed here during the Magny-Cours race weekend and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent, especially for anyone visiting the circuit. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were welcoming and professional, and the restaurant served a very good dinner after a long day at the track. A special mention for the peaceful atmosphere and the convenience of being so close to the circuit while still being able to relax and work comfortably. Thank you to the entire team for the hospitality. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Magny-Cours.

29/05/2026: I left, they didn't even acknowledge me, and they let two women go ahead of me and then sit down at a table. All this with Patrick Bruel playing in the background. I hadn't been back to Prémery in 20 years. I left.

23/06/2026: Beware - opening times are not accurate. The listing showed it was open on Monday evenings and we walked there in 40C heat only to find it was actually closed. Beyond frustrating. Pity is it looks really nice.

20/05/2026: Noise in the corridors and rooms until half past midnight, people were talking as if it were broad daylight, and because of the short night we had, we were woken up in the morning by the sounds of drilling (workmen probably doing some work in the hotel), understandable but not in this particular case...we have experienced better during a stay at your hotel during the Christmas holidays.

22/04/2026: A well-located hotel in the heart of Morvan's capital. Friendly staff. The restaurant is of good quality – local cuisine, carefully prepared dishes made with fresh ingredients. Breakfast is adequate (buffet style), but we found it a bit pricey (15 euros).

26/05/2026: A passionate traveler, it was by chance that I stumbled upon the Lion d'Or. And of course, this place left its mark. Normally, I don't bother reviewing the places I stay because everything is so sterile, so similar, and original, unconventional places have little or no reason to exist... But seeing the reviews and ratings piqued my curiosity and led me to dig deeper and understand. The owner is one of those people who are bursting with energy, talkative, intelligent, with a strong and memorable personality. Ultimately, I'd say divisive. But what an evening spent dining with other travelers and the owner! A feast, hastily prepared by our ever-attentive host, peppered with shared experiences and humor. These kinds of moments are part of travel, and they leave such a lasting impression. So yes, it's far from the norm. But if everything becomes standardized, what place is left for such unique individuals? See you soon, my friend. PS: Practice your chess! ;)

04/08/2026: I'm giving it one star because I can't give it zero. We ate a mediocre galette with a completely ruined crust (how is that even possible?). The passive-aggressive signage in the restrooms pretty much sums up the welcome we received ("Pee only," don't even think about being sick). A very disappointing experience. Avoid it.

22/05/2026: If only there were more shops like this, with so much choice, quality, and above all, such friendly staff. Many young people go to fast food restaurants when there's something like this just a stone's throw from the city center. Finally, a delicious dish of the day with a variety of meats at a great price! Everything was reheated and served with kindness. Thank you! We're from Italy and were lucky enough to find you, so we didn't have to eat the same old restaurant fare. Good luck!
