30/01/2026: A real gem! I had lunch at this restaurant today and honestly… the best value for money I've ever had. The €18 set menu (starter/main/dessert) was perfect. For a team of only three, the service was incredibly fast, super well-organized, and always with a smile. You can feel the warm and friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in. As for the food, nothing to complain about: top-quality ingredients, expertly prepared. The leg of lamb literally melted in your mouth, a real treat, and the tiramisu for dessert was simply divine. The chef is clearly top-notch, incredibly skilled, and it shows in the food. Special mention to the team: • The server is lovely, smiling, and incredibly welcoming, • The guy behind the bar is as kind as can be, • and the kitchen is run by someone truly talented. The dining room is spacious and attractive, the tables are well-set, and you really feel comfortable there. Another big plus: parking right next to the restaurant, so parking is easy and stress-free. In short, a restaurant where everything comes together: quality, price, atmosphere, and service. I will definitely return and highly recommend it.

23/01/2026: On rugby days, we come to this restaurant and we're never disappointed. The quality of the service and the food is consistently excellent. The staff are friendly and the menu is very reasonably priced. The owners are also very friendly. For several seasons now, the quality and service have been consistently high.

10/03/2026: The room was very large and clean. The bathtub was perhaps a little high. The view of the Loire was very pleasant. The hotel is quiet and well located, close to the city center and 1.5 km from the train station.

24/02/2026: After a beautiful, long drive through the Morvan, we arrived at Jean Michel's in the evening. He's a kind, cheerful man who knows a lot about the area. After welcoming us, he showed us our room, and we enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant around the corner. That evening, we returned to the hotel refreshed and asked if we could have another drink. He first told us it was already too late and that the restaurant was actually closed. After a brief chat, he told us to sit down and served us the best wine, along with a delicious charcuterie plate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and at the end, we were given a tour of all the rooms and spaces. Hospitality at its finest!

22/12/2025: How can I put it? An exceptional place, even though it's currently under renovation. As for the owner's welcome, we loved it! Very kind, interesting, and attentive. And the breakfast was simply delicious. We will definitely be back. Charente-Maritime

20/03/2026: During a meal with friends, we ordered salmon pasta with dill cream sauce. All we got was dry pasta with the equivalent of a tablespoon of salmon, no cream, and absolutely no dill... All for the modest sum of €24...!!! Get real with your Parisian brasserie prices and learn how to cook...!! It might surprise you, but it's a profession.
