28/06/2026: Small room, no air conditioning, unbearably hot, breakfast for 8 euros with not much choice, a croissant that was probably frozen, which arrived hot and crumbled, carpet everywhere even in the rooms, there's nothing better for germs.

12/06/2026: We arrived by sidecar for one night. Secure parking is available for motorcycles/bicycles. The staff is fantastic and incredibly friendly. The restaurant offers a good selection of food. Definitely a spot not to be missed during a stay in the Morvan region.

17/05/2026: A really nice hotel with a lovely view of the river and the town bridge. The outside could do with a bit of tlc as the property occupies quite a prominent position, but it's a small point. I can't comment on the bar or the food as we didn't use or have either.

22/06/2026: A very pleasant surprise! I've been meaning to go for years. The €32 set menu was excellent value for money; everything from the starter to the dessert was delicious, and the service was impeccably professional. A great place, I'll be back! 👍👍👍

05/07/2026: A very warm welcome; although they didn't serve dinner, we were still treated to homemade snacks...toasted sandwiches, salad, etc. Excellent, I highly recommend it.

28/05/2026: Not a flattened French café with fluorescent lights, but a cozy café with a wide variety of drinks and lunch in the afternoon; it used to be located by the water, hence the name.

05/06/2026: A very warm welcome, lovely decor with numerous photos and texts by writers in the stairwell and dining room. Each room is named after a writer with photos on the walls (we had Simone de Beauvoir). Truly charming and welcoming.

19/05/2026: A very pleasant hotel (dedicated to literature) in the center of La Charité-sur-Loire. The managers are very friendly. There's a shelter for bicycles inside the courtyard, and a small, cozy, and quiet outdoor area (unfortunately, the weather didn't allow us to enjoy it). Our room (Molière) was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The breakfasts were very generous, and the manager was attentive to guests' needs. We were able to park without any problem in front of the hotel. We spent several nights in this peaceful hotel after spending days exploring the surrounding area. A lovely find.

02/07/2026: Just passing by for a quick drink. The terrace is quite large, the owner loves dogs and is very friendly. No complaints whatsoever! 👍

17/06/2026: We, a group of four motorcyclists, stayed one night in June. Good value for money. Excellent meals. Garage for motorcycles. Quiet location; our rooms overlooked the fields. Friendly welcome. We recommend it.

27/06/2026: Arrived at 3:10 pm on a Saturday and greeted with a smile, enjoyed an excellent and generously portioned plate of caramel pork accompanied by delicious homemade lentils and rice. A pleasant experience and I would definitely return.

30/05/2026: I'm not criticizing the food or the hotel, which I don't know. But this establishment has sunk pretty low by accepting a company that regularly offers "free" meals on the condition of attending a two-hour brainwashing session to force customers to buy products at ten times their actual price.

07/08/2026: We ate here in July during our stay in Nevers. The meals were adequate. We both had duck breast, but it was overcooked. As a result, the duck breast was quite tough. The friendliness of the serving staff made up for a lot.

04/08/2026: Excellent place! We were passing through Nevers for the evening and we had a wonderful time; the food was delicious and we wanted to thank our waitress Julia who was very kind and always available to answer our questions ;)

17/08/2026: On Monday, August 17th, few restaurants were open, but this one was, in an air-conditioned room. The welcome was warm, the children were served first with their drinks, and the waitress was very pleasant and attentive to the children. The veggie burger was amazing. Highly recommended!

10/08/2026: Delighted to see the owners again since last year...very clean restaurant...quality of welcome and service...never disappointed...excellent dishes, thanks in part to the choice of meat the restaurateur cooks...the tarragon chicken is amazing, very tender meat, homemade sauce...a real treat...don't change a thing, we can only encourage you to continue...
