16/05/2026: A pleasant experience during my visit to Alençon... it was very busy because of the rain (and even snow!), so the service was a little slow, but the smiles made up for it, which was more than enough 😊! The only slight downside was that the tart was a bit overcooked and therefore a little hard, but it was still very enjoyable. I'll be back :)

25/05/2026: A truly exceptional lunch. We opted for the four-course menu, and the entire meal was beautiful, delicious, and expertly executed, with inventive petit fours. Special mention goes to the service, which exceeded the expectations of a one-Michelin-starred restaurant. The dining room was a delightful surprise, opening onto the garden and offering the option of enjoying aperitifs and coffee outdoors. A fine selection of wines is available in the cellar for those who wish to indulge.

The value for money is quite reasonable, and the location is ideal. We had a very pleasant evening. Thank you for your kindness.

18/05/2026: Everything is excellent at this bakery. When we arrive in Vimoutiers, my husband and I go straight to this bakery. The atmosphere is really nice, the saleswomen and the owner are very pleasant. And if we had our way, we'd buy everything! Customers arriving by quad bike.

The crêpe for dessert was average… A simple place for a quick meal, but don't expect much… The service, however, was pleasant and efficient from the two waiters!

31/03/2026: I, Sir Ludovic de Téléton, knight and connoisseur of the meats and fine foods of our region, had the honor and pleasure of feasting at the noble Restaurant Des Amis in the village of Moncy. There, I was served a dish worthy of the finest lords: veal chop with crispy chanterelles and butternut squash, potato gratin, and broccoli flan—a dish both flavorful and exquisitely elegant. Before raising my fork to my mouth, I carefully examined each element: the veal chop, tender and juicy, cooked to perfection according to the ancient art of roasting; the fresh chanterelles, fragrant with the aroma of the nearby woods and skillfully prepared; the crisp butternut squash, expertly grated; the delicate and airy broccoli flan; and finally, the golden and refined potato gratin. Each bite was a perfect harmony, reflecting the excellence of the region's produce and the chef's expert hand. I can assure you, without vanity but with truth, that no knight or lord could find fault with this feast: I am highly knowledgeable about food and textures, and no artifice could deceive me. The cooking was precise, the flavors balanced, and the presentation worthy of the grandest royal banquets. Therefore, I praise and recommend, in my own name and that of my noble lineage, Restaurant Des Amis to anyone seeking a noble and refined meal, where one can savor the bounty of our land and the virtuosity of our chefs. May the wine be plentiful and the table laden, for such is the merit of this establishment.

Bravo to the team! The restaurant offers excellent value for money. Breakfast offers a wide selection of high-quality options. A place to know and share! I recommend it 100%!

26/05/2026: This hotel is a full of charm and character the fireplace in the restaurant is amazing. The bar area is warm and inviting, with a great choice of beers, and the restaurant is absolutely outstanding. The food was exceptional fresh, full of flavour and clearly made with high-quality locally sourced ingredients, which really made a difference. Olliver is an exceptional host and genuinely makes the whole experience memorable. Friendly, welcoming and incredibly engaging. After dinner, he even joined us with a bottle of wine, which created such a relaxed and personal atmosphere and really summed up the hospitality of the hotel. His excellent English also makes everything effortless. Great value for money is superb, we will defiantly be staying there again next year choice without hesitation.
