25/07/2026: We recently dined again at L'Ecuyer Normand, a restaurant we greatly appreciate. The dishes are always of high quality, and we discover new flavors each time, with a careful balance of sweet and savory and just the right seasoning. From the outside, the restaurant is discreet, perhaps too much so, as it's not prominent enough and is overshadowed by the pizzeria next door. But once you step inside, it's a warm and welcoming place with friendly owners who love their work, a rare thing these days. In short, if you're in Chandai, stop by; you won't regret it. Below, our first visit: Our first experience at this restaurant (but certainly not the last). Warm atmosphere, very pleasant service and welcome. From the €40 menu, I recommend the skate tataki as a starter—a real treat, although in fact, the entire dinner was excellent, and the seasonings were just perfect. There were four of us, and we all felt the same way when we left. A big thank you to the chef and the young waiter.

27/06/2026: We received a wonderful welcome from a charming lady at this inn. We arrived as a group of nine with a reservation made just two days prior. We were on a very tight schedule, and it was perfectly respected. The chef prepared a unique menu for us, a main course and dessert, which was a delightful surprise. We started with a small amuse-bouche, followed by beautifully presented and refined dishes: a fresh vegetable salad, salmon, and a nougat glacé. Pure bliss! The chef came to greet us as we were leaving, which made us laugh. 😂 Congratulations and best of luck!

09/05/2026: One of my favorite restaurants, David is always smiling and welcoming, the galettes are always excellent and generously filled. And of course, a great selection of crêpes for dessert! We always have a wonderful time there.

07/05/2026: Best crêperie ever! The owner is lovely and the atmosphere is cozy and reminiscent of a grandmother's house. As for the food, there's a good selection and it was delicious. 🫶🏻✨️

17/05/2026: Fantastic crêperie that I highly recommend. We've been many times and have never been disappointed. Everything is homemade. The Camembert crêpe we had last night was excellent, and the Camembert actually had flavor! 😜 (Just a little wink to a comment saying the opposite...) The owner is super friendly and always has a kind word. We'll definitely be back! 😍

12/07/2026: Undoubtedly the best restaurant in the region. This is my second time dining at the Auberge Saint-Michel. The setting is refined and tastefully decorated, and the welcome is professional yet warm and discreet. The quality of the dishes is exceptional, worthy of the finest gastronomic restaurants. The dishes are carefully prepared with subtle flavors. Made with seasonal produce, the menu changes regularly, much to the delight of the palate. Special mention goes to the smoked haddock muffin, which remains one of the best appetizers I have ever had. A truly excellent experience that I look forward to repeating. The Auberge Saint-Michel is definitely a place to discover and share.

20/06/2026: A magnificent gastronomic discovery in the heart of a former mining town. What a shame this lovely inn won't find a new owner after the managers retire in a few months... We opted for the four-course menu (starter, fish, meat, and dessert). From start to finish, from the amuse-bouches to the petit fours, it was a flawless and delicious experience. 👌 The service was excellent: professional, warm, and unpretentious. 👍 Well done to the whole team! 👏

11/03/2026: The pastis was really refreshing on the terrace in the spring afternoon sun! Service is okay, but more self-service than anything else. The ambiance inside is alright, outside in the sun it's great, otherwise it's quite busy...

09/05/2026: A step back in time to a small French village, the kind we wish we saw more often. The hotel rooms are magnificent, exactly as described on the website—no exaggeration, everything is authentic and beautiful, a haven within a haven. Ideal for couples and romantics.

04/05/2026: The restaurant's location...it's already breathtaking, this little village is so pretty. I had a wonderful time with my family celebrating my 40th birthday. The staff is incredibly attentive, and the food is flawless. The sauces accompanying the dishes are delicious, as are the side dishes, and the cooking is perfect. The chic vintage decor takes you away from the everyday; it's a feast for the eyes. I recommend it 10,000% if you're looking for a family-friendly, romantic setting with beautiful home-style cooking.
