29/05/2026: We went on the recommendation of the manager of the Hotel Mosaik, and it was a great choice. From the moment we arrived, the woman who served us was very friendly and professional. She spoke to us in Spanish. We tried several dishes from the menu, including some appetizers like the gildas (anchovy, olive, and pepper skewers), scallops with dill and lemon, and a hand-cut beef tartare—all delicious. For our main course, we chose the sea bass fillet with curry and coconut sauce, and it was incredible! The dessert was simply divine—a freshly baked cookie with mascarpone and walnuts. A highly recommended, centrally located, and very beautiful place.

18/05/2026: A small, intimate restaurant, the waitresses are professional yet approachable and friendly. Dogs are warmly welcomed with a small bowl of water. You can see the cooks working calmly and cheerfully to prepare their delicious cuisine. The menu is small, a sign of homemade dishes, and changes frequently, but if you can try the asparagus gazpacho, don't hesitate! Reservations are recommended.

18/05/2026: The hotel is very well located. The spa in the basement is lovely, with a pool and jacuzzi. Unfortunately, the television and refrigerator were broken and not repaired during our three-day stay.

13/05/2026: First and foremost, I want to thank Julien, whose personality makes this place so unique. I remember the place as being in PERFECT condition and spotlessly clean. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches that made all the difference: fresh orange and lemonade. The spa was magnificent, and the masseuse was lovely and very attentive to the client's needs, personalizing each massage accordingly. I also appreciated the charming Spanish housekeeper who took such good care of the guests. And I remember the very generous and high-quality breakfast. Thank you to the entire team. It was a very special weekend for us, and you all contributed to making it perfect.

11/07/2026: We came to eat as a group of four. The waitresses gave us a warm and discreet welcome. The terrace is pleasant, right next to the market. Then came the time to order. The waiter (the oldest in the group, he'll recognize himself) cracked a few familiar jokes. Okay… We explained that my wife is allergic. The man's response, with a knowing laugh: "She's a pain!" A long, awkward silence… The waiter was starting to notice the discomfort. We took it in stride and decided to give the food a chance instead of leaving the table. My son and I ordered a ribeye steak between us, and my wife had a gazpacho. I don't remember what my daughter ordered… The verdict: The ribeye steak was good quality, cooked rare, but there was one drawback: The meat was too fresh, not aged enough (I'm not talking about matured beef). So even though it was rare, it felt like eating a piece of rubber. My wife's gazpacho was good but too vinegary. What a waste! We mentioned it to the waiter, who explained that it's a matter of taste and that we should have ordered the aged ribeye. Clearly, he enjoys inappropriate jokes but not constructive criticism. No comment… In short: The service was appalling and rude, and the food was subpar. The price was definitely too high. The next day we went to Alma (see review). It was like night and day.

This restaurant, where the quality of the dishes—soup, chorizo ​​risotto, shrimp risotto, homemade Bounty ice cream—exceeded all my expectations and left me with a wonderful memory of my stay in Saint Jean. The welcome was exceptional, the value for money ideal. Bravo to the couple who run this restaurant; we will definitely be back!

04/07/2026: Hello to the whole team at Ti Cabanon, Honestly, a huge congratulations! What a joy to find a real seaside bar that doesn't fall into the trap of tourist traps. At your place, everything comes together: a superb setting, a super friendly atmosphere, a lovely welcome… but above all, cuisine that truly makes a difference. Proof? We came back two days in a row… and we would have happily returned a third time if our vacation had been a little longer! Between the hot and cold tapas, everything was delicious. We especially loved the tuna ceviche, the duck hearts, and the baby squid—all excellent. And then there was the meagre fillet of the day with its virgin sauce… a real triumph, perfectly cooked. You can tell that the ingredients here are high quality, that everything is made with care, and that you cook with passion. It's exactly what we hope to find by the ocean, and it's so rare. A huge thank you to the entire front-of-house team: smiling, lovely, attentive, always taking great care of you without ever being overbearing. You contribute as much as the food to making our experience truly wonderful. Keep up the good work, don't change a thing! You're one of those places we wholeheartedly recommend and can't wait to return to on our next trip to Saint-Jean-de-Luz. See you very soon!
