12/12/2025: Still as good as ever! Regarding the service, I don't share some of the opinions. Clearly, the owner is "unconventional," but that's part of the charm of this place. Everything is homemade. Lunch is €18 for a starter, main course, and dessert on weekdays. In the summer, the terrace overlooking the Loir River makes it the most beautiful spot to eat.

04/01/2026: Crêpe dinner 1 week ago. Overall: The batter for the galettes and crêpes was very good. The sweet and dry ciders were excellent. Butter galette: Served on a cold plate with very little butter => acceptable. Complete galette with mushrooms: Generous, hearty, and served on a warm plate this time => excellent. Chocolate and coconut crêpe: Unfortunately, there wasn't enough chocolate, but overall it was good. What I didn't understand is why the chocolate-coconut crêpe costs €1 more than the plain chocolate crêpe, and why a plain chocolate crêpe with slivered almonds costs €2 more. I would add that using filtered water for the carafes would help avoid the bleach smell in the tap water of Le Mans. From a culinary point of view, the overall result was good. Our waitress was friendly and smiling. The setting is pleasant, and the service is quite fast for a table of about 10 guests.

02/12/2025: A huge room with a very large bed, a beautiful bathroom (see photos), a nice TV, a fridge, and bathrobes. I recommend it for a relaxing holiday or weekend getaway.

02/11/2025: A comfortable and truly lovely room. The wellness area is well-designed, offering a very pleasant sense of privacy. We were very happy with our two 50-minute massages. The staff intervened only at the right moments, allowing us to remain completely relaxed. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant and breakfast, with a wide selection of high-quality products. We plan to return this spring.

05/10/2025: I would like to leave a review following the particularly disappointing experience we experienced at this hotel, despite the "winner" at the end of our stay. We had booked two nights to attend a two-and-a-half-day event, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Upon our late arrival, we noticed there was no hot water in the room. Given the time of day, we waited until the next day to report the problem to reception. The manager then confirmed by phone that he was aware of the outage, but offered no solution, merely suggesting a €10 discount per night—a paltry gesture given the situation. Back at the hotel that evening, we were disappointed to find that nothing had been repaired. We therefore spent two nights without hot water, without the possibility of showering or keeping warm, after entire days spent in the rain and mud around the circuit. Upon departure, the discussion with the manager was unpleasant, to say the least: no apology, no empathy, and a completely inappropriately haughty attitude. Not only had we never been informed of the problem in advance, but no concrete solution was offered once we arrived. Added to this were other inconveniences: - A freezing room, the heating not being turned on "until November, obviously"; - A major leak in the bathroom, simply ignored by the housekeeping staff. I was also astonished to hear that the manager had no solution to offer, when he could have simply called a plumber. This is a basic service that any hotel worthy of the name should be able to provide in an emergency, especially for a 3-star hotel. When I suggested paying only every other night, the manager gave a surreal speech, explaining that we were "disrespecting small towns and small hotels," that "the establishment was expensive to maintain," and that "it's no surprise that hotels are closing one after the other." But what about respect for guests who drive hours to get here, who sleep in the cold, unable to shower, and to whom we don't even apologize? We apparently should have "left if we weren't happy"—in other words, slept in our car, since all the surrounding hotels were full. He also told us that "some guests had accepted a €12 discount and a free breakfast." However, this offer was never made to us, and more importantly, just because other guests have accepted such compensation doesn't necessarily make it acceptable. In short: no anticipation, no sense of service, no consideration for the customer. In a 3-star establishment, this is simply unacceptable. Even for free, we will never set foot in this hotel again. It's very sad to have come to this... over a simple matter of hot water.

09/11/2025: Bedding needs replacing; the mattress is sagging in the middle. The ventilation system sounds like a washing machine on spin cycle, making it impossible to sleep. One of the toilet seat hinges is broken: significant risk of falling when sitting down... No smoke detector in the bedroom???

22/10/2025: The place is splendid and the forest just magical. This little green setting is truly enjoyable. The room is nice and despite some issues the service was great and we were able to change rooms which greatly made the difference in my ratings today. Their thoughtfulness and kindness were truly top notch.

08/12/2024: Mauvaise expérience ............très très déçu ... Nous avons réservé pour un repas de famille et demandé un gâteaux d 'anniversaire pour l 'occasion .. un mois à l 'avance en date du 07/11/2024 pour un repas le 08/12/2024 ...nous arrivons pour l 'heure 12 h30 , et la stupéfaction , soit disant que l'ont aurais appeler pour annulé la réservation dans la semaine .. Le responsable nous propose une table à l 'étage ,donc des marches à monté , en dépannage , alors que j'avais préciser qu 'il y avait une personne âgée ... Aucune excuse de sa part , et en plus il n 'a pas été en mesure de dire que l 'erreur venait de lui ..monsieur le responsable assumé vos erreurs ...et revoyez vos copies ...soyez logique si nous avions annulé , nous ne serions pas venu .. Finalement nous avons été accueilli au restaurant la Bagatelle sans réservation , au dernier moment .. que je recommande fortement par leur professionnalisme , et les papilles...

16/08/2025: Charming setting, a "natural" and peaceful atmosphere in the heart of the village. Homemade cuisine (even the bread), original and tasty. Quality local beers and wine at a reasonable price. Don't hesitate to cross the threshold of the house to admire the cook's artistic works and get her comments. A great discovery! We recommend it. Near the "Vélobuissonière" if you are a cyclist...
