20/08/2026: We (two people) were refused lunch because, although the restaurant wasn't full, they were keeping a few tables empty in case "regulars" showed up without a reservation! Unbelievable... Clearly, they must be making enough money to justify this.

28/07/2026: Pleasant location, shaded terrace, friendly and polite servers. Dishes, while based on traditional recipes, are revisited, but excellent and homemade. Good quality ingredients and well-chosen regional wines. All at an affordable price. Top-notch! 5+/5 Note: We did not stay at the hotel.

21/07/2026: I came for lunch today, and it was absolutely delicious! The meal was fantastic, I highly recommend it.

06/07/2026: What a wonderful evening and what a fantastic party for our son's 20th birthday! Thank you, Arnaud. A cocktail reception with kebabs cooked on the brazier. We also thoroughly enjoyed the garden with its various spaces and the reception hall. Everything was top-notch and exactly what we were hoping for. We'll definitely be having more parties there!

27/04/2026: Great little restaurant for a quick bite! Excellent value for money!

22/04/2026: The service was poor from the start, and then we ordered a Leffe (being connoisseurs), but we were served a low-quality beer that was definitely not a Leffe, for the exorbitant price of €9 for two 25cl beers. You should really check your beer stock before serving the wrong things to the wrong people.

20/07/2026: We stopped by for dinner on the terrace while passing through. The welcome, service, and food were all excellent.

05/07/2026: The food was very good, a real treat. However, the service wasn't great; we found the waitress grumpy compared to other tables where she was more cheerful.

11/09/2026: Good coffee, too bad about the wait.

17/07/2026: Very good with air conditioning inside, and the servers are always very pleasant 🤣🤣. Plus, the bar is located on a large square, so children can play safely there.

23/06/2026: Not enough space. We were too cramped at the tables. And the lack of manners among the English staff leaves much to be desired... and the prices have gone up considerably, what a shame, we won't be going back.

19/09/2026: Disappointed by the dessert: a Belle Hélène crepe with pear and chocolate. I asked the waiter if it was real chocolate and not that cheap, stale concoction. The answer: yes, it's real chocolate. In the end, the crepe was cold, the pear undercooked, and the chocolate very low quality, if not fake. As for the pears straight from the can, is it really so difficult to microwave them to finish cooking them? There's absolutely no respect for the customers or the kitchen. And this guy calls himself a chef... pathetic. Just there to make money.

13/08/2026: Two people at 9:20 PM on a Thursday in the middle of August... "No, we're not serving anymore!" €50 down the drain at least 😄 Château-du-Loir is definitely not a tourist town 🫤

27/05/2026: The food was excellent and v.good value for money. My room was on the top floor up a long spiral staircase, with no offer of help with luggage. When the restaurant's not open, they do not serve drinks, even to guests. Sadly, this meant, no sitting on the terrace on my birthday, with a cold rosé on a scorching day. There was no WiFi in my room which meant no internet connection and no satellite channels . I spoke to the manager about this and she raised her eye brows and said that there should be.

07/04/2026: A truly wonderful family moment at the Grand Hotel 🐣 There were six of us to enjoy the Easter menu… and it was a real success. A welcoming table, delicious dishes, and that little extra touch that makes all the difference. You can taste the work in the kitchen, the attention to detail, and above all, the desire to please. A meal that simply warms the heart. Thank you for this delightful experience; we will gladly return.

13/04/2026: Avoid this place; it was a bad experience. I can't even imagine what the kitchens must be like! As for me, I won't be going back.

12/09/2026: The food leaves much to be desired, both in terms of quality/price ratio and especially quantity. It's a shame about the service, which is bizarre. Three plates were served to a table of four, then the fourth arrived 10 minutes later. The same thing happened to other tables in our group.

11/06/2026: Excellent experience! The staff were friendly and very professional, and the service was quick, especially considering our request to leave at a specific time. The food was excellent, the portions generous, and the value for money was fantastic! A pleasant experience from beginning to end! I highly recommend this restaurant.

No complaints about the food—it was tasty and plentiful. A big plus for the staff, who were very welcoming and friendly. Quick service! An ideal place for a delicious lunch! A great find, and we'll definitely be back!!
