13/08/2025: Traditional cuisine, welcoming waitresses, and reasonable prices. It's worth the stop; it reminds me of my truckers of yesteryear. And the smelt or bone marrow as a starter on a 4-course menu for 15 euros, honestly, it's amazing. I've gone from one-star reviews to one that I really don't think are deserved. I recommend it.

29/11/2025: After reading the reviews, I was hesitant, so I wanted to try it for myself. I can tell you that if you're expecting fine dining, this isn't the place for you, but for a friendly, convivial experience, I highly recommend it. There were four of us, and we weren't disappointed at all. It has the feel of a traditional French open-air café, which is hard to find at this time of year. The welcome was very warm, and as for the food, the burgers, pizza, and flank steak were cooked to perfection. Being particular about how well-cooked my food is, I wasn't disappointed. The owner was very friendly; it's just a shame for him that there aren't more customers. If you're passing through and looking for a pleasant place to eat with friends, stop by. Keep up the good work at Au Refuge du Trappeur, and as for me, don't change a thing!

28/10/2025: I'm disappointed with the food. We ordered rare burgers, but unfortunately, they arrived well-done. The burger itself wasn't cooked: a bit of lettuce, a slice of tomato, a well-done beef patty, and frozen fries for €18 😕 The "café gourmand" (gourmet coffee) consisted of pre-made items. It's a shame because the setting is nice.

30/12/2023: Bon accueil. Bon choix dans les plats. Wifi annoncé mais aucune indication pour s'y connecter. Et, en comparaison avec d'autre enseigne café très cher un capuccino au double d'un café long alors qu'ailleurs le tarif est unique (1 jeton pour tous types de café)

28/12/2023: Le Burger n'avait de chaud que la viande et ma compagne à trouver au moins 4 cheveux ou poiles dans ça religieuse

28/12/2023: Vraiment déçue, sauce madère qui n'en a ni le goût ni l'aspect et frites trop salées. Personnel moyennement aimable. Par contre le flan était très bon. Déjà qu'il n'y a plus beaucoup de flunch, essayez de garder de la convivialité qui le rendait plus sympa que les fast-food

27/09/2024: Very quiet, the rooms are spacious, the staff are excellent 👌. Beautiful swimming pool, nice convivial space. In my opinion, both the interior and exterior need a good refresh.

13/11/2025: A wonderful person who recently joined the community, I'm so happy to have met them. Clearly, those who leave negative reviews are in a bad mood and acting in bad faith. I don't understand why people are like that. You have to be patient and appreciate the things the restaurant offers.
