02/09/2024: Discovered by chance while walking! Good surprise, not a gift but very good, delicious aioli, crunchy vegetables, generous fish, nothing to say! Smiling and peaceful waitress :)) We will come back this winter to try the interior after the very nice terrace!

11/08/2024: Excellent welcome, the service was fast.
We ate very well and nice surprise, we got a 10% discount on the bill because we were staying at the hotel next door.
We will be delighted to return if we are in the area.

02/12/2024: The quality of the dishes is undeniable, everything was well prepared and tasty. On the other hand, the service leaves something to be desired: the servers lack smiles and friendliness. In addition, the plates are cleared quickly, which gives the impression of haste, even though there were not many people in the room. This spoils the experience a bit, too bad for a place with such good potential.
27/11/2024: Young and dynamic service no problem however the meal a little less fantastic… I wonder if I asked for lasagna or soup… really not good no pasta only sauce

11/01/2025: I'm not in the habit of rating places that are already highly rated, but I find that the predecessors were very harsh: a meal for less than 50 euros for 2 people with 2 courses, glass of Brouilly and loose Christmas tea , right in the center of Rouen, who could say better? Especially since the taste quality was there: sautéed veal with lemon hummmm, very very successful blancmange, bread from a small baker who knows his trade, and tea served in a teapot, too much of course, but with just as much hot water as desired, for 3.5 E it is so rare. In short, a very small restaurant, where it's crowded but where you eat well, with a dynamic team of ladies!

01/09/2024: As always I enjoyed it, it's a very nice restaurant I recommend.
On the other hand, very unpleasant waitress, as soon as you arrive you have to choose the meal and the dessert, not knowing in advance if I wanted one so I didn't take anything. Damage.
And my friend decided to tell her that she didn't know yet about dessert so she blew it...
I understand that it is not an easy job, but in these cases you have to change 😉
30/08/2024: Very good food, but deplorable service, we are rushed as soon as we arrive, asked for dessert without having eaten our dish, on the verge of being sent to pasture by the waitress.

30/08/2024: I have enjoyed this Restaurant for around fifteen years now, its Châlet Bois atmosphere is very warm, a small mountain setting in the heart of an urban center. I am never disappointed when I go there with family or friends. Another asset is its platform to gain a little height while eating 👍❤️

1 : il faut penser à réserver ! (oui, il est connu et renommé dans le coin)
2 : c'est très bon. Simple, mais excellent.
Le boeuf qui a mijoté pendant plusieurs heures, c'est une merveille. La salade de gésiers, c'est un grand classique. Hyper classique, diront même les esprits chagrins. Mais elle est bonne, tout simplement !
Encornets et grondin, bien cuisinés de la façon locale, c'est bon, et c'est tout ce qu'on demande.
Il y a aussi un choix de pizzas, très bonnes elles aussi.
Vins locaux. Pas beaucoup de choix, mais ceux que j'ai goûtés étaient très bons.
Bravo et merci aux sympathiques propriétaires de ce merveilleux restau !

Partie hôtel que l'on ne connait pas, mais on y séjournera la prochaine fois.

26/08/2024: Strange place. You can't check in until 5, which means you're sat outside with all the other guests until then.
Rooms are very dated and somewhat clean but a bit smelly.
For the price, whilst cheap, you could get significantly better elsewhere.
We were stopping here after a long drive before ferry and I would not recommend for anyone doing the same thing.
16/07/2024: Great location just back from the harbour on an interesting street. Bar and restaurant downstairs. Stairs narrow and rooms small but clean and functional. We had a good welcome and the owners were very helpful. And a good breakfast in morning. Value for money.

The two ladies at reception are charming, as is the night porter.
Magnificent room with sea view, cleanliness and perfect bedding.
First time in this establishment but certainly not the last.
Panoramic room, very pleasant breakfast with fresh, quality products, smiling and very helpful room staff.
16/11/2024: Evelyn the hotels evening receptionist was charming and very helpful, with impeccable English. All the staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms are clean, bathrooms are great. Beds huge.
Breakfast food is ok. However croissants aren’t warm and not the best, coffee and hot chocolate is from a machine which was disappointing. But the lovely staff serving were very attentive .
