08/04/2026: Thank you to Marcia and Philippe, we chose their restaurant O AVEIRO to celebrate the christening of our nine-year-old daughter with our family. There were 26 of us on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Everything was perfect, from the service to the delicious food. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return! 👍

08/02/2026: We had a fantastic time at this Portuguese restaurant with our group of bikers. The welcome was warm, the service quick, and the staff really friendly. The dishes were generous and delicious, with authentic Portuguese flavors. A friendly place where you eat well and feel comfortable, perfect for a night out with friends after a motorcycle ride. 19/06/2026: A wonderful discovery in Noiseau. We had a truly enjoyable evening enjoying a delicious meal. The melted cheese was simply divine and perfectly prepared. We also thoroughly enjoyed the crêpes, served with a beautiful flame right at the table. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The setting is warm and inviting, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing with friends. I highly recommend this place to all lovers of mountain specialties. We will definitely be back.

18/07/2026: I don't like posting negative reviews about restaurants, but the disappointment is real. Our visit to the Hippopotamus in Créteil last week was our last. The customer service, order taking, and overall service were far too slow. We arrived at 1 p.m. and didn't leave until 3 p.m., and it wasn't because the food was good—quite the opposite. The portions became ridiculously small compared to the price we ordered (even when ordering à la carte). We all asked for our meat to be cooked rare, but ours arrived medium-well. The hamburger on my order was even partially black. We didn't ask to exchange our meat because we had already waited long enough. So we ate it without any enjoyment. We paid and left quickly so as not to miss our movie. The waitress didn't even say a word to ask if everything was alright. I think they know that overall things aren't going well... It's a real shame because we loved this chain when we first discovered it in Paris 20 years ago. Hippopotamus isn't what it used to be. (Value for money, service, friendly atmosphere) PS: My daughter, who ordered a children's meal, didn't receive the little gift that was supposed to be included.

28/03/2026: There were five of us who came for drinks in the late afternoon, and the experience was scandalous from beginning to end. The unpleasant waiter told us they had happy hour cocktails. So we all ordered accordingly. The result: out of three cocktails, one wasn't even the right one. No apology whatsoever, no offer to correct the mistake. We let it go. But the worst part came when it was time to pay. The bill was much higher than expected. And then, without any shame, they explained that "after checking," Saturday wasn't happy hour after all. Why didn't they tell us that BEFORE we ordered? Or at least BEFORE they charged us?! It's simply dishonest. They presented us with a fait accompli, and the only reaction was a vague "sorry" as compensation. Unacceptable. No transparency, no sense of service, no respect. Avoid at all costs.

03/08/2026: Impossible to find any shelf stockers. They finish work at 4 PM, and the worst part is when you call to check if a product is in stock or on the shelf, they tell you it is, they came in specifically for that product, and it's not available! Infuriating 😡 It's ridiculous! And then they give you all sorts of excuses: "It's not my department," "I wasn't the one who answered the phone," "Maybe you called the professional service line" (no, I got the number from Google). The rotisserie is only open on Fridays and Saturdays. That's not enough!

01/08/2026: The outside looked fresh, but the heart of the Chinese cabbage was brown and rotten. Very disappointed.

21/06/2026: A truly wonderful place! We had lunch there for a business meal. The welcome was excellent, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the food was of very high quality. A great find that I highly recommend.

26/05/2026: A wonderful welcome for a double birthday celebration. The owner is incredibly attentive. The curried zucchini and salmon soup was superb. A fantastic time, as always.

14/07/2026: I celebrated my daughters' birthday at Libertalia with 35 guests, and everything was perfect – a well-organized event. The entertainment was fantastic! 🥳 There was a magician, a singer, and a DJ to keep the party going until the early hours. The food was delicious and plentiful. A huge thank you to the staff 👌 who looked after the private room we had reserved until 1 a.m. and went out of their way to get us tickets to the disco to finish off the evening. Thank you to the entire Libertalia team! I would definitely do it again.

10/07/2026: A deplorable customer experience. We came as a couple to watch the Germany match in the fan zone, paying €50 for entry, without even a drink included. To make matters worse, the DJ's music was much louder than the match itself, making it impossible to follow, especially since the speakers were placed right next to the seats. A particularly unpleasant experience. The final straw: a "Reserved" sign was placed on our table, implying that we would have to leave as soon as other customers arrived... unless we bought a bottle. This blatant pressure to consume was particularly awkward, delivered by staff who were anything but welcoming. Faced with this lack of consideration, we decided to leave after 30 minutes and go home to watch the match on a big screen. A complete waste of €50 for such poor service and comfort. Whether the restaurant operates like this or not, this fan zone is definitely one to avoid. A very bad experience.

18/06/2026: We went for lunch as a group of 3 on a Sunday in June. The food was good, the staff were friendly and the price was reasonable.

17/06/2026: Chicken curry: Perfect. Very friendly and fast service.

10/07/2026: I advise against going there in the morning if you just want to have a drink and wait; the guy won't let you sit down for less than €4.50, which is unheard of. Normally, no matter what drink you have, even a coffee, you're supposed to be able to sit down, especially since it's not for long and nobody's in the restaurant, but the service asks you to move or stay at the bar. Really very poor quality, I don't recommend it.
