03/05/2026: Hello, just a quick update: although it was listed as open when we called to make a reservation, we unfortunately got a voicemail explaining that the restaurant is closed due to retirement. I hope they quickly update the information and find a new owner to take over the restaurant soon.

16/09/2026: Unfortunately, I can't really comment on much besides the service. We arrived without a reservation. The waitress asked if we had a reservation. We replied that we hadn't, and she grimaced, then didn't even look at us or say a word. She ignored us. So we left. If there were no more tables available, you could have told us; we would have understood perfectly. If there was a wait, you could have told us that too; we would have understood. But no, just a grimace and complete indifference, without a glance. It's a real shame, because given the good reviews, I have no doubt the food is good.

15/08/2026: Nice, personal atmosphere, but you don't need to be a chef to enjoy this restaurant. I ordered a gizzard salad: bagged salad, industrial dressing, croutons from a soup packet, the gizzards barely cooked, probably microwaved, and the duck breast was low quality. The food was like a kit; even an amateur cook could do better. Not recommended for food lovers.

03/08/2026: We had a very good lunch today (August 3rd) at this establishment. The service from the new waiter was impeccable on his first day. And the food was excellent.

10/09/2026: A very nice restaurant, a dynamic team, a warm atmosphere – in short, everything is perfect. I highly recommend it.

18/06/2026: Bathroom needs renovation. Good bedding. Average breakfast, not much variety. The hotel needs a refresh, but its advantage is being 17 km from Puy du Fou, in a quiet location with a beautiful view.

18/06/2026: On a recommendation, we came to the restaurant for dinner. The view from the terrace is magnificent. The welcome was pleasant, but the young waitress clearly doesn't know the job and isn't suited for it. She was very unpleasant, especially when we pointed out the lack of bread with our starter, which required it. The food was very average for the price we paid. We were disappointed.

09/07/2026: Order placed on July 9, 2026 for 12:00 PM. Upon returning home, the meat was full of charred, blackened pieces with a burnt taste. This isn't the first time I've ordered from here, as it's located in the alley where I live.

08/09/2026: I first knew Café Noir several decades ago when we used to come here every summer for our holidays. It was a well-maintained place. Attentive staff, a piano that often resonated when a customer played it... the welcome was excellent, and the service was too. It was the place to be on the island! What a disappointment now. The prices, the service, the welcome, and the overcrowded terrace... a lot of work needs to be done in every area. We left after a long wait that only gave us time to look at the menu... the prices are unjustified. I really don't recommend it.

08/09/2026: We made le cafe noir our daily stop off when cycling from our campsite to Noirmoutier. The atmosphers is very relaxed and peefect to unwind a d take in the surroundings. The food is varied and delicious. The service is excellent and the staff understood english as our french is poor.

20/09/2026: Simple but delicious food. A lovely starter of crayfish and mushroom salad with a very pleasant hot and cold contrast. A duo of pollack with sauerkraut, very well cooked. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

23/08/2026: I was very disappointed by this restaurant. First of all, the welcome was very cold, the wait was long, the pizzas were frozen, the mussels were served cold, without even a large spoon to scoop up the sauce, and the desserts were very pasty. I will never go back. And on top of that, the bill was exorbitant.

19/08/2026: How can you ask a person in a wheelchair to bring a walker without even knowing about their disability? How can you ask them to stay on the terrace so as not to "upset" a child? Yet that's how we were greeted at La Nouvelle Auberge, as soon as we walked through the bar door. My partner, who has been paraplegic for over 20 years, felt deeply disrespected and belittled. The owner made it very clear that his presence in a wheelchair inside the establishment bothered her. In 2026, how can anyone still speak to a person with a disability in such a way? Disability should never be a source of discomfort or a reason for exclusion. A person in a wheelchair is a customer like any other and deserves to be welcomed with respect, dignity, and kindness. We refuse to remain silent in the face of such hurtful and inappropriate remarks. Social media now gives us the opportunity to bear witness, raise awareness, and make our voices heard. Madam, welcoming guests to an establishment like yours means welcoming all your customers, without distinction or humiliation. We sincerely hope that no other person with a disability will ever have to experience what my partner has just endured.

09/08/2026: A terrible place. Unwelcoming, you immediately feel like you're intruding. I absolutely do not recommend it. The owner shouldn't be running this place if she doesn't know how to treat customers properly. Disdainful, a very bad experience.

03/09/2026: A very pleasant stay at this hotel outside of school holidays. Excellent location amidst pine trees and close to the beach. The marine spa is available without necessarily booking a Thalassotherapy package. The golf course is also nearby. The staff is very friendly, professional, welcoming, and always smiling. Don't be put off by the few negative reviews. Call if needed and trust them. I would gladly return if the opportunity arose.

03/09/2026: A restaurant nestled within a beautiful, chic hotel, whose elegance isn't immediately apparent. We received a very warm welcome from a friendly, dynamic, and attentive team. The service is pleasant, even if its quality doesn't quite match the excellence of the cuisine. Because on the plate, the level is truly remarkable: refined dishes, perfectly executed and of exceptional quality. Special mention goes to the desserts, created by pastry chef Maurice de Challans, which perfectly complement the experience. A truly wonderful place, where the cuisine is definitely worth the detour.

21/08/2026: A short break at Yoyo's with a small family, a kebab, the place is very good, very clean.

24/07/2026: What a disgrace Chez Yoyo has become! I used to enjoy it for years, but now it's off the menu. The kebab made me sick last week...again, because of a kebab that was a week old, maybe more; the meat was as dry as a pork sausage! And tonight, not even a kebab on the menu, again...lack of customers, lack of sales. What a shame...
