24/05/2026: Good establishment, clean, impeccable service

20/05/2026: Impeccable service, however, the food was bland. The sea bass was well-served but slightly overcooked, accompanied by a saffron risotto that wasn't actually saffron—it was rice pasta—and a vegetable wok with no seasoning whatsoever, no spices, no salt, no pepper. The mussels marinière were too salty, and the broth was watery. A question about the daily special: mussels marinière or curry? Is it a two-day special? The menu was the same on Monday and Tuesday. 🤔 The lack of ambiance and character in the decor discourages lingering after the meal.

26/07/2026: Lunch today, the welcome and service were impeccable. The main course was good, but I was very disappointed with the desserts. Paying €9.50 for a slice of brioche, some bland chocolate that tasted like water, and a scoop of ice cream is outrageous. It requires no cooking or preparation at all; at that price, you can find excellent and delicious desserts in other restaurants. I'm not sure I'll be back.

16/06/2026: A wonderful discovery just a 25-minute drive away, thanks to a gift certificate, that we found this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. The Alba Petra menu is original, provided you take the time to explore each dish. Local, homemade cuisine, delicate flavors. Thank you to the chef, his team, and everyone involved. We certainly hope to return.

29/05/2026: The restaurant: The food was sophisticated and refined, a feast for the eyes and the palate. The service was impeccable, and the tableware was beautiful. The courtyard, surrounded by its giant wisteria, was very pleasant and cool during the heatwave. All of this made this reasonably priced gourmet dinner a near-perfect experience.

27/08/2026: After a stroll through the night market, we were tempted by this little restaurant we saw overlooking the harbor. We are a couple with a young son. We were seated. Unfortunately, the wait was interminable: 45 minutes for drinks and an hour and a half for our main course. I understand that there might be organizational issues (shortage of servers, etc.), but the important thing is to mention it before we are seated so we can refuse service and go elsewhere. Politely, at the end, I asked if a small gesture of goodwill was possible. The waiter replied that no (that he wasn't the owner), and that he couldn't do anything except offer a complimentary digestif. We explained that we simply wanted a small discount on the bill. The discussion led nowhere. I paid. And then the owner arrived like a fury, yelled at me, and aggressively approached me, telling me I should have come earlier. I told her not to be aggressive like that, and she yelled back, "I'll do what I want, I'm in my own home." We were having a conversation, without shouting or being disingenuous. Then she came in like a fury, being incredibly rude. It ended in an argument between her and my partner, who couldn't stand her waiting for us to pay before barking at us. There are other similar comments. It's a real shame because we just wanted a simple conversation and a small gesture of courtesy. She ended up throwing a bill on the counter and telling us never to come back. I fully understand the work involved. Running a restaurant is hard work. I'm completely aware of that. But it's a shame that this restaurant is run by someone so discourteous and inconsiderate. Nevertheless, the food was very good! It's a shame the experience was ruined.
