12/12/2025: We came for lunch today with my dad and had a lovely time at L’Assiette du Coq à l’Âne.
The welcome, the decor, the service, the atmosphere, and the food: everything was done to ensure our satisfaction.
We thank the entire team.
08/12/2025: A real gem! While passing through Gérardmer, we were incredibly lucky to have lunch there as a family of four (without a reservation); everything was absolutely perfect. The setting is superb, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the welcome was amazing: smiles, attentiveness, kindness—you immediately feel at ease.
And what can we say about the food? Pure bliss! Every dish was flavorful and perfectly executed; we enjoyed every bite from start to finish.
From appetizer to dessert, the quality is truly exceptional: the snails are outstanding (and that's coming from someone from Burgundy!), the Savoyard fondue is good, the burger was delicious, and the desserts were exquisite (floating islands, chocolate shells, gourmet coffee); we also appreciated the wines that were recommended to us.
Honestly, not a single flaw: go without hesitation, we recommend it 200%!

30/11/2024: Restaurant to avoid since the change of ownership the cuisine is no longer of the same standard the value for money is no longer there either the service is laborious.
In addition, acquaintances work for this employer who is unpleasant and disrespectful or even aggressive with their personal.
It's a shame that this restaurant, which was so good, has become a tourist trap so that the customers of the former manager will no longer be there because the change was so radical.
Very disappointed 😞
17/11/2024: Very warm welcome, really very good meal, a little extra for Alexandra the waitress who was extremely kind and very professional. Only small downside: it was cold in the restaurant, but otherwise nothing to complain about.

A rare meat that arrives well cooked (they changed it for us), 45 minutes before we take our order even though it is very quiet, not really any real shade on the terrace, the card that must be requested and cutlery too. As for the card... A cloth of stained leaves...
31/08/2024: We had a good time in this restaurant. The staff is smiling and full of humor, it's a pleasure. The server was friendly from the beginning to the end of our meal and with all the tables even though there were people. We are delighted with our meals, we ate very well (reblochonnade and flam munster). We ate in a good atmosphere. We recommend this establishment.

we ate well, nothing extraordinary but overall it was good.
09/12/2024: Certainly the location is good but restaurant-wise it's the worst restaurant I've been in so far, a terrible atmosphere, we're spoken badly to, no respect to be honest. I had a very bad experience and will not go back there again.

Very poorly organized service, no kindness with evil and insistent looks. The managers smoke in the restaurant, the food is very poor
I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. To flee!!!
09/11/2024: Honestly, nothing to say having eaten there several times, impeccable staff, very helpful, top-notch cuisine, we enjoy it every time, frankly, I recommend this pizzeria restaurant. Well done to the whole team.

30/11/2024: C’est totalement horrible les plats ne vas pas ensemble et ils sont pas bon le personnel affreux (politesse et service) puis le seul truc qui va c’est la tapisserie qui fait penser à de la boue
30/11/2024: Personel désagréable. Les plat ont été servie froid obliger de demander à se que on les réchauffe. 30 min a attendre le plat et 25 min pour les dessert, et on a eu notre apéro en même temps que le plat.

05/07/2025: It's noted on the menu that the fries are homemade and this is not the case...I was very disappointed. The butcher's cut of meat was too tough. In any case, I won't be coming back and I don't recommend it. And I think it's not right to deceive customers with fresh fries.
05/07/2025: I very rarely post negative reviews, but we arrived at the Pub in Gérardmer at 8 p.m. and weren't served until almost 10 p.m.... Two hours of waiting for very disappointing service. The portions are truly ridiculous: a tiny rump steak, a poor quality salad, and the non-existent portion of fries, clearly not worth the price. It's neither filling nor tasty. Very bad experience, I absolutely do not recommend it.

19/12/2024: A restaurant that is often closed except it is opened on Google.
I was able to go eat there once, it wasn't worth the detour for the tapas, it's really very simplified, anyone is able to reproduce them expensively either for the slightest bit, quite expensive for what we are served.
I won't come back
09/11/2024: Friendly and pleasant staff but small downside for the kitchen.
The smoked salmon roll with cream cheese was neither smoked nor topped with cream cheese, but rather raw salmon and goat cheese.
The breaded Burrata was not a burrata but a mozzarella which was still cold.
Overall was still good, but somewhat disappointed with this experience

16/08/2024: Stayed overnight during a heat wave. No air conditioning and the fan did not work. Didn't have a good night with 2 small children
Other than that everything was fine. Nice meal! Lots of wasps outside
