06/07/2025: A wonderful place, both for the welcome and the taste and quality of the tapas!! We crossed the Garonne (from Talence) for an excellent discovery!! Bravo to the whole team, we'll be back and we'll recommend our friends to try your succulent tapas!!

03/07/2025: A pleasant place for a fun lunch with colleagues. Fast service, attentive and friendly staff, delicious dishes and desserts. A must-do!

25/02/2026: Beers were okay but expensive (€11 a pint). The bartender was charming, the barmaid much less so. The hot dog option had cardboard buns and the grilled cheese was rather bland. A shame, because the beers were good.

21/02/2026: The bar has a cool (geek-inspired) atmosphere, the beers are very good, there are games and our bartender is super friendly, come on over!

17/02/2026: Always a good choice, and for a long time. We hadn't been there for a while, but with the number of good, classic brasseries in the area dwindling, we were happy to return. The service was very professional and efficient. The French cuisine was delicious. The restaurant has a very friendly atmosphere; you're not necessarily relegated to a corner at a small table if there are only two of you. The fried rib-eye steak was excellent, and the steak tartare was perfectly prepared. The nougat glacé was to die for. Just one small complaint about the Perrier with a slice of lemon; half a thin slice is a bit meager, but unfortunately, this is quite common in many establishments in Bordeaux that are a bit stingy with this citrus fruit. It's a fact, this is grape country, not lemon country.

24/02/2026: A fantastic atmosphere for a truly amazing karaoke night! I'm not usually a fan of these kinds of evenings, but I absolutely loved the time I spent at this restaurant. Plus, the menus are excellent, with superb couscous!

07/02/2026: We came to spend the evening with my grandmother Nini, and we had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was fantastic, the karaoke was great, we had a good laugh, and the food was excellent with plenty of choices and generous portions. If you want to have a great time in a lively atmosphere, I 100% recommend this restaurant. Thanks again for a lovely evening!

14/02/2026: No way to give more than 5 stars???? It's not just the food that's heavenly, the service is beyond perfect! You feel like you're visiting friends, in a place that invites you to slow down and savor every minute. We'll be back, even if it's a 3.5-hour drive 😅

14/02/2026: Excellent from start to finish! The welcome was perfect, the food absolutely divine, and the wine and other tasting advice truly professional. In short, a place to discover and rediscover again and again. The staff were incredibly kind; as I have an allergy to one of the ingredients in the only dessert, they managed to create a suitable (and excellent) alternative for me that same evening. I am very grateful. We truly had an incredible experience. Thank you for this wonderfully successful evening. And congratulations to the entire team. We will definitely be back.

22/02/2026: Dinner was good: nigiri, 4- and 5-ingredient bento boxes. Fragrant miso soup, with some seaweed pieces that were firmer than others. Overall, the price remains high and out of step with the setting, which I think is in dire need of renovation. It's hard not to wonder about the state of the kitchens. A shame, then, for the overall experience.

15/02/2026: We had high expectations for this dinner, hoping the chef team would showcase their creativity with fresh, local ingredients. The service was good and the staff were friendly, but the food was a letdown. Most of the dishes were underwhelming—not terrible, but lacking the spark you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The only standouts were the bread and the smoked tuna. The rest felt forgettable. The pork dish was especially disappointing: it didn’t taste good, the sauce was too salty, and the pork itself was tough and dry—fully cooked but not tender, with no clear flavor or concept behind it. It left us wondering what the restaurant was trying to highlight with this seasonal menu. In France, many places use local ingredients with excellent results. Unfortunately, L’Oiseau Bleu didn’t deliver that same level of thought or taste. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend it. Dk why google took me review down.

08/03/2026: What a little gem Super friendly staff and chef . Fresh cut meat grilled over open fire. Started with foie gras terrine amazing. Followed with steaks done perfectly and fresh frites and salad. Wine selection enormous in every price range. Delightful night out very reasonably priced

30/11/2025: Unlike typical all-you-can-eat buffets, this one is quite small because everything is homemade and replenished fresh. It's a good idea to make a reservation even if the restaurant isn't necessarily full; this way, the owner will know how much food to prepare in advance based on the expected number of guests. In any case, the owner is very friendly and even offers a small shot of sake at the end of the meal when you pay. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.
