08/08/2026: Last night we had dinner at La cocotte de Grand mère. We had a great time. We all chose traditional dishes, and they were excellent. The restaurant has limited seating and the manager is very friendly. The advantage is that you can book online.

06/09/2026: Olex is a super friendly and welcoming waitress. You immediately feel at home. The food is typical Alsatian. I was particularly impressed by the sliced ​​cheeks. Absolutely delicious!

21/06/2026: A small fast-food bakery at the train station, take-out only. The baguette jambon flan and cheese and butter sandwiches are delicious. I didn't have high expectations based on the appearance, but once I started eating, I couldn't stop. A set of sandwich, berry fromage blanc, and apple juice was about €10.

05/08/2026: Up until today, it was actually a 4.5-star establishment. We had been there three times before as tourists and were satisfied. The prices were reasonable, and there were many locals who were very friendly. Today, around 9:10 p.m., we wanted to sit on the terrace for a few drinks. The waiter shouted to my wife in English that it was already closed, even though the terrace was full. Unfortunately, I speak French and could understand the condescending remarks he made to the other guests. It's a shame that staff can cause such problems for a business.

17/08/2026: A wonderful restaurant! Delicious, beautiful, and spotlessly clean. But I especially want to mention the portion sizes: the cuisine and presentation are top-notch, and the portions are generous and filling—you truly leave feeling full. We ordered carrot hummus with pistachio praline and focaccia, Bouchée à la reine, quail, and Angus bavette—everything was superb. Our child had salmon from the kids' menu—excellent quality fish and a generous portion. This was especially valuable for us: just the day before, after dinner at another French restaurant, we had to go to a pizzeria because we were still hungry 😅. Despite Colmar being a touristy city, there's absolutely no "tourist restaurant" feel here—you can feel the authenticity of French and Alsatian cuisine and tradition. These are the kinds of places you'd like to find more often in France. We definitely recommend it! P.S. The only wish is to improve the service, make it more welcoming, and also perhaps add a uniform for the waiters, since everyone is dressed in different clothes and this is not quite in line with the level of the restaurant, in our opinion)))

12/07/2026: This is THE taco place of my life! It saved all my lunches during my CFA (apprenticeship training center) term. The price is incredibly affordable, and the chef is truly the boss he thinks he is. €7.50 for a meal with fries and a drink during the school year is a steal! I highly recommend it. The two chefs are very friendly, and I can't thank Le Palace enough for everything they've done for me. Thank you, Chef! ^^

08/07/2026: Really great place and food. We came here as a family with 2 kids, they loved the chicken doner kebab and Mexican taco. Should be mentioned the staff was really polite and he arranged an English translator to take our order, even made a spicy sauce for how we described the spice level. The portions were really good. I would highly recommend to come have food from here. Hats off Le Palace team.

27/07/2026: Quantity over quality? I've been to this establishment several times, and this last dinner was nothing like my previous meals. The sheer number of dishes they serve (both takeout and dine-in) is impressive! I had chicken stir-fried with vegetables and Thai rice. It was good… However, my colleague suspected his dishes had been microwaved (prawns and the "homemade" dessert). The service, on the other hand, was very rushed. You get the feeling they're in a hurry, and it's not relaxing. Best of luck.

26/08/2026: A very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, there was no greeting, no welcome whatsoever. We had to go and find the waiter behind the counter ourselves just to be told where to sit. As for the food, the dishes were decent, but frankly nothing special, especially considering the prices: around €60 per person for a main course, dessert, and a glass of wine. At this price point, one expects a completely different experience, both in terms of the food and the service. Furthermore, the outdoor chairs are of very low quality, making them particularly uncomfortable. We were poorly seated throughout the entire meal, which is all the more disappointing given the prices. Unfortunately, the departure pretty much sums up the meal: when it came time to pay, we were handed the receipt without a word, without even a glance… Non-existent welcome, cold service, uncomfortable seating, and prices completely disproportionate to the quality of the experience. Avoid at all costs.

06/09/2026: Perfect! I had the ribeye steak with bone marrow, cooked exactly as requested, and the marrow bones were amazing! If I had to make one small suggestion, it would be the bread! With the marrow bones, two slices of toast lightly rubbed with garlic would have been a nice touch, but that's just my critical side talking! The service was impeccable! Thank you for this wonderful experience.

30/08/2026: Review updated August 30, 2026: Following your response, I returned to your restaurant last night. The main course was fine, but once again, the ice cream sundae was a disappointment. The waitress assured me there were three scoops of the Bounty sundae, but I only got two scoops and a few almond shavings on the whipped cream. Review updated April 2026: It's a shame the desserts aren't as generous as the main courses! I was disappointed with the "three scoops" ice cream sundae; either they were tiny scoops or there were only two. The tiramisu was served in a tiny, undersized dish. It's a shame to end on such a bad note. Review published October 2025: A wonderful discovery! Friendly staff, and the dishes were both high-quality and generous. It was a delightful experience.
