19/04/2026: We've known this restaurant for ten years. We hadn't been for several years. In the past, we'd been very disappointed by the service. This time, we were pleasantly surprised by the improved service, which had been disappointing in the past. However, the value for money isn't there for the main courses on the menu. The truffles were really not good. The fish dish we chose was very pretty, but the taste was lacking. On the other hand, we loved the petit fours and the much more original appetizers.

12/04/2026: Given the restaurant's reputation, I was expecting something truly exceptional, but my experience at L’Atelier du Peintre was rather disappointing. The set menu choices were bold, and the dishes were decent. However, the service, particularly from the sommelier, wasn't up to the standard one would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The desserts, on the other hand, were excellent. Considering the price and the establishment's prestige, the experience fell short, even though it remains a very good restaurant.

The best I've ever had... The gratin was also delicious. The atmosphere and setting on the terrace are perfect. A peaceful break where time passes in complete tranquility. Don't hesitate. Come, eat, enjoy...

26/04/2026: This is where you need to be. It is in the middle of the tourist hot spot but definitely not a tourist trap. You might need to consider staying in the cue to get in. It has local cuisine at very good prices.

10/04/2026: On a beautiful Spring Friday, the staff seated the six of us without reservations. All of us from ages 6-71 very much enjoyed our lunch. The shrimp risotto, linguini vongole, pasta bolognese & poulet pesto penne disappeared! The tiramisu was lovely.

Special mention goes to the high chair, a relic from a bygone era ❤️ We loved being able to put our little one in it and take photos 🤩 If you'd like to try a delicious sauerkraut in a timeless setting, you've come to the right place 😉 Enjoy your meal!

27/03/2026: I had an absolutely fantastic time at Restaurant Le Silex in Colmar! From the warm welcome and chic bistro atmosphere, you know you're in for a wonderful culinary experience. The cuisine is authentic, generous, and perfectly executed—and their homemade cordon bleu is simply extraordinary: tender, flavorful, and prepared with true expertise! Highly recommended!

16/04/2026: Yesterday, we stumbled upon this charming little restaurant while strolling through Colmar. We asked for a table for four without a reservation... no problem. The interior is very elegant and tasteful, which might lead you to expect high prices... but no... drinks were reasonably priced and the food was inexpensive. We didn't want the obligatory tarte flambée or the greasy meat with heavy sauerkraut that's so common everywhere in Alsace. We ordered: chicken with sauerkraut, pike-perch with sauerkraut, and chicken with mushrooms and spaetzle. It was nothing like the food in tourist traps. The dishes were harmoniously combined, delicious, not greasy, and the flavors complemented each other perfectly. I would never dream of serving chicken or fish with sauerkraut at home. Here, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was apparently provided by the owners themselves. Always attentive, efficient, and with a smile – perfect. The surprise came with the bill: aperitif, wine, water, meal, digestif, and espresso: under €200 for four people. Go there and have a good time. Thank you for a lovely evening.

15/04/2026: Excellent restaurant. The pike-perch on sauerkraut is delicious, with original flavors like the chicken supreme with honey. The sauerkraut is perfectly cooked and mild. The kirsch mousse is worth the trip alone. Discreet and efficient service. No wait. A great experience, highly recommended.

06/05/2026: At first glance, given the restaurant's location and the crowds it attracts, you might think it's a tourist trap. And yet... this is our third time here and we've never been disappointed. Unbeatable value for money; the dishes are not only delicious but also generous. The decor is a typical yet modern take on an Alsatian winstub, making you want to share a good time with friends. As for the service, I must commend the friendliness and professionalism of the team, which make a visit to Schwendi a very pleasant experience. We'll be back!
