30/03/2026: Great experience. A lovely little restaurant; I went there with my mother this weekend. The service is very quick, probably because seating is quite limited. The food is very good, and the prices are more than reasonable. Parking is a bit trickier. If you're lucky, you can find free parking spaces in the evening (after 7 pm) in the Petite Venise parking lot. It's only a 5-minute walk in that case. Otherwise, you can try the Saint Josse parking garage or the Montagne Verte underground parking garage. Finally, I want to warmly thank the restaurant for welcoming our very well-behaved little dog and offering him water.

21/03/2026: An intimate and very special place. Super delicious food made from local ingredients. Very nice and enthusiastic waiters who taught us about smaller local wineries - which are part of their wine menu. Highly recommended from here

19/03/2026: A delightful time spent at your restaurant. I came with a friend, a regular customer, yesterday at lunchtime, and I was charmed by this place! For €25, you get a choice of starters and main courses, or main courses and desserts, plus a glass of wine. I opted for perfectly cooked fish and a very smooth chocolate mousse. 12/04/2026: The tarte flambée was great! However, the baked Munster cheese was a bit too strong, and I think the pastry was frozen. In any case, it wasn't very good. The place isn't very big, so you need a bit of luck to get a seat.

17/04/2026: Unfortunately, this restaurant is far better renovated than the experience itself. The food is underseasoned and the fries are industrially produced, while the prices rival or even exceed those of some Michelin-starred restaurants in the region, without reaching the associated quality. To our great dismay, the service did little to improve matters; expect changes to the wines you ordered (without consulting you), lukewarm sparkling wines, and bottles simply placed on the table. I must, with great regret, advise against this restaurant. Good luck with your search!

The produce is fresh, as local as possible, and delicious. We came back the next day for more and enjoyed everything we came home with.

19/04/2026: We've known this restaurant for ten years. We hadn't been for several years. In the past, we'd been very disappointed by the service. This time, we were pleasantly surprised by the improved service, which had been disappointing in the past. However, the value for money isn't there for the main courses on the menu. The truffles were really not good. The fish dish we chose was very pretty, but the taste was lacking. On the other hand, we loved the petit fours and the much more original appetizers.

12/04/2026: Given the restaurant's reputation, I was expecting something truly exceptional, but my experience at L’Atelier du Peintre was rather disappointing. The set menu choices were bold, and the dishes were decent. However, the service, particularly from the sommelier, wasn't up to the standard one would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The desserts, on the other hand, were excellent. Considering the price and the establishment's prestige, the experience fell short, even though it remains a very good restaurant.

03/01/2026: We made a last-minute reservation and got a table. We received a very warm welcome, the service was excellent and well-paced, and the owner had a friendly, witty remark and a genuine desire for quality. We ordered two set menus: starter, main course, and dessert, including gratinated scallops, sauerkraut, and trout, followed by a sorbet with a generous splash of liqueur and a chestnut tart. The large dining room was beautifully decorated with ample space between the tables, creating a wonderfully intimate atmosphere. We have no regrets and will definitely return, especially since the menu changes regularly!
