15/08/2024: Reservation for a birthday party.
Being "out of season" there was only one menu choice (for reasons of freshness of the dishes which is a good intention).
It would have been JUDICIOUS to specify this in advance... For a birthday it is more pleasant to be able to choose what you like and not an imposed menu.
So a kind of samosa on a salad leaf; a piece of meat (well cooked and tender which makes up for the rest), soft potatoes, a sauce as sour as possible and a small fruit tartlet. All this for a relatively high price compared to the content.
Maybe it's great in groups, on weekends, in season, etc. But unfortunately to run away the rest of the time.

04/09/2024: Stumbled upon by Hazard, the facade doesn't look like much, but the sandwiches are really good, the meat is not at all fatty. Great address, too bad it's far from home.

Several choices of savory and sweet crepes offered at very reasonable prices.
Located next to the cathedral, the location is ideal for spending a lovely evening.
The dishes were very good and served us well. We shared a dessert which was also up to par.
We will come back!
06/09/2024: For the pleasure of young and old, we enjoy ourselves between two visits. If you want to have a good time this is the place to be.. yum-yum we asked for more.

11/05/2024: Living within easy reach to this great place, I, and many of my friends and family have experienced the great food and wonderful service given by Lisa and Franc. They excel in everything they do, especially on their special event evenings, such as the recent VE authentic world war meal so much enjoyed by those that took part. Their Sunday lunches ar now famous, and early booking is always advised, as it is so very popular!
29/04/2024: We have always enjoyed our three course Sunday lunches made by Lisa here at Le Chalet du Bois. Booking is advisable to ensure a table. There are choices for each course, including a vegetarian option. Looking forward to eating outside on the terrace when we return. Highly recommended!

27/09/2024: Nice boss who is at the bar and in the kitchen 👏. Neighborhood restaurant not far from the station, ideal for eating home-cooked food without fuss but good 😃. Come on glasses 😉
10/09/2024: 300 meters from Limoges Bénédictins station, you could pass by without paying attention, but don't hesitate to open the door. The menu is more than complete, starter/main course/cheese/dessert/coffee/wine for €14.50! And what's more, the food is homemade and the owner is friendly. What more could you ask for! Oh yes, chocolate mousse, or on Wednesday, eggs in wine!!! In short, go through the door and make up your mind.

The welcome at the restaurant was perfect and we received very good advice (quantity and diversity of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes). The 8 people had a great time (adults and children). The starters/mains were fresh and generous! And the bill more than reasonable. We recommend 100%

Expérience à renouveler sans hésiter.
Seuls deux bémol à noter:
Apéritifs servis sans aucun minime amuse bouche
Commandes express sans temps de réflexion.

29/07/2024: A magnificent, calm area, where it is good to recharge your batteries. We had a great time at the restaurant: trout in all its forms, homemade fries, delicious local meat. The icing on the cake: adorable and attentive service! We will come back :)

03/09/2024: Arriving there by chance, we were lucky to have a table because it is better to reserve! Meals on the terrace (pedestrian street) served by charming and welcoming staff and we made friends and chatted with our neighboring table. Delicious and hearty meal, perhaps a little expensive but of great quality!

12/08/2024: De passage dans la réfion nous avons dejeuné le midi.
Menu ouvrier a 13€, sans prétention, avec des plats de qualité.
Filet de poulet, accompagné de ratatouille et haricos verts (les légumes proviennent du jardin, ils étaient exelents).
Le service était tout aussi bon, la proprietaire prend le temps de vérifier si tous vas bien et est très serviable.
Notre seul regret et de ne pas etre venu au bon moment pour profiter des plats à la carte (soir et week end).
16/07/2024: Nous venons au Plateau de Noblat depuis de nombreuses années avec enfants et petits enfants, tous ravis de l'accueil fort sympathique , de la très bonne qualité des produits, et de la vue sur Saint Léonard.

Very nice decor but you really could do better in terms of service.
