08/09/2024: Mixed experience, despite the good comments on this restaurant. The food was very good but also very (too?) simple for a restaurant in our experience. The cuisine is homemade and that's the big strong point. We were not able to eat on the terrace because the service was concentrated in the dining room (a shame given the good weather), but this was certainly due to a lack of staff. The service was strange for us (this is the first time that we see the customers' chairs being used as supports to present the menu signs of the moment / that the desserts were presented brought on a tray / that there was no plating, etc.)

05/09/2024: Friendly, with homemade and local cuisine at attractive prices. Recommended for those who want to get away from touristy places.

08/09/2024: We had a Wonderbox, and we were really received perfectly, a very pleasant welcome and a high quality dinner, with a very professional service... charming hotel, room in an annex in the park next to the swimming pool: bedding comfortable, very functional shower, hair dryer and even magnifying glass (rare enough to emphasize this). Breakfast with quality products, choice, very good yogurts, savory and sweet. We recommend +++

22/08/2024: Just stopping for lunch, very beautiful setting, friendly boss, and the dishes match the decor. Let yourself be surprised by the homemade aperitifs. I highly recommend it.

18/08/2024: Lieu incroyablement charmant. D'abord le village en lui-même, puis le restaurant avec sa belle terrasse ombragée. Les propriétaires sont adorables et servent une cuisine simple, traditionnelle et goûteuse, avec des produits locaux. Pour 15 € nous avons eu un menu avec entrée + plat + fromage + dessert. Ajouter apéritif, vin et café peu chers. À découvrir absolument !

16/12/2023: The rooms are new, bathroom with walk-in shower. The surrounding environment is very calm. The restaurant is excellent, the service is fast. The staff takes great care of both the hotel and restaurant areas. Very good discovery!

26/09/2024: This is an address not to be missed! A menu just like at home that changes every day. Today beef tongue with rice...preceded by a homemade soup and a plate of green beans/tomatoes (yum vinaigrette sauce!). Then for dessert, 4 possibilities. Salted butter caramel cream: killer. Adorable staff, charming boss...and all this for €16.50, including a quarter of wine per person! Go ahead and enjoy it!

07/09/2024: We had a great time in this restaurant. A calm and intimate atmosphere. A pretty setting with simple and neat decoration. An organized service, and welcoming and smiling servers. As for the cuisine… We enjoyed ourselves. As much with the half duck breast in honey sauce and its small vegetables, as with the duck confit. Thank you so much for allowing us to end our stay on such a beautiful note.

16/09/2024: The only bakery in the area and that is not its main quality. A wide choice of savory and sweet products, local products (homemade), friendly and warm service and the possibility of eating on site. Don't hesitate to come and take a look.

23/10/2024: Avis non justifié du couple d octobre uniquement pour desservir Nous avons commandé les mêmes plats que ce couple Quelle bonne et excellente surprise, accueil très agréable, quand aux repas ,nous étions 4 adultes (en couple et mes 2 frères epicuriens). Un vrai régal, foie gras poêlé succulent et copieux,omelette de mémé impressionnante par la quantité et super délicieuse, cèpes en quantité, émincés de canard avec sauce aux cèpes, très goûteuse ,tous les 4 du même avis jamais mangé une omelette cuite aussi bien et savoureuse ,nous avons emporté le reste d omelette à la maison c etait tellement copieux, dessert de glaces en raison du repas trop copieux mais tellement succulent On y reviendra c est certain et nous le conseillerons avec grand plaisir

22/10/2024: Foie gras en entrée plus fin qu'une lame de rasoir, accompagné d'1 feuille de salade et 3 rondelles d'oignon. En plat principal Omelette du curé au nom très appétissant : omelette beaucoup trop cuite, cèpes ( ?) totalement insipides, foie gras pas bien gouteux ( 28 € tout de même!) . Heureusement quelques molécules de goût de truffe dans la cuillère à café de sauce relèvent cette platitude. Quel dommage ! Tout pourrait être si bon dans ce magnifique endroit. Grande déception.

15/09/2024: Avec 29 camarades randonneuses et randonneurs à la fin de notre magnifique randonnée sur les hauteurs de Cabrerets nous nous sommes rendus dans cet établissement pour prendre une collation bien méritée aux alentours de 15h30. 2 clients étaient présents dans le restaurant des Grottes donc l'établissement était quasiment vide. Nous nous sommes installés sur la terrasse abritée avec vue sur le Lot car il pleuvait. Le patron a pris nos commandes (soft, glaces, bières et autres) table de 4 par table de 4 et nous a servi au fur et à mesure, tout se passait pour le mieux. Une randonneuse qui faisait partie de notre groupe de 30 personnes n'a pas souhaité prendre une consommation alors que les autres à sa table ont commandé quelque chose, le patron lui a demandé de sortir car elle ne consommait pas !!! Sidération, elle faisait partie de notre groupe... Si nous avions su nous aurions passé notre chemin : Accueil et respect de la personne ne semblent pas être les maîtres-mots de cet établisement. Dommage c'était un beau site qui affiche d'ailleur "Accueil Pélerins" ??? Nous avons pris nos consommations très déçus de la situation, nous avons payé et sommes partis ...

12/09/2024: Accueil du patron laborieux vraiment pas commerçant ce monsieur Le déjeuner sur la terrasse très agréable. Côté cuisine les mets sont fait maison et rien à redire (delicieux foie gras) Et pour le service bravo au jeune serveur disponible souriant

26/11/2024: We came during our honeymoon. The landlady chose our magnificent, large room (exposed stone, fireplace, etc.). Comfortable bed. Great and refined dinner. Hearty and varied breakfast. The staff takes great care and advises very well. Free parking nearby.

29/10/2024: Romantic room and cozy bed with a view of La Dordogne. We slept well and felt very comfortable. The food was good and nicely presented. The service in the restaurant was attentive and the huge fireplace created a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, like almost everywhere in France, there is no vegetarian menu available.

01/10/2024: The restaurant is fantastic, even the workers’ menu at €17 is great! This lunch: oyster pancake, osso bucco with rice and Catalan cream. DELICIOUS ! RUN THERE!
