16/08/2024: Excellent discovery! Tasty cuisine with fresh produce, the presentation of the dishes is careful. The service is quality. The setting is intimate with a beautiful terrace. Flawless, I recommend it, very good value for money whether it's the daily menu, the discovery menu or even a la carte.

14/08/2024: The entrance to the La Flambée restaurant is not ordinary. Located in a small street, you have to look for the small sign above the entrance so as not to miss it. Friendly room inside with a very large table, covered terrace with large parasol. Home cooking with very good value for money.

05/09/2024: Restaurant idéalement situé près du musée Champollion et de la place des écritures. Personnel très accueillant, plats bon rapport qualité/prix et copieux. Je recommande. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

26/08/2024: C'est le Top de Figeac !! Cadre historiquement agréable sur la place Champollion. La patronne est très investie, dynamique, souriante, très à l'écoute de vos choix pour les accompagnements non désirables (oignons ou autres...) Les serveurs sont jeunes, souriant et à l'écoute aussi... Produits frais, carte très intéressante, assiettes généreuse La cuisson demandée est respectée. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés ! Nous n'avons pas regretté notre choix.

16/09/2024: Heerlijk geluncht op terras waar de zon steeds meer ging schijnen! Vooraf borrelplank gedeelt met div. Vleeswaren, kaas en ganzenlever. Witte wijn Uby was super (17 euro fles) confit de canard en kalfsvlees waren super lekker.

02/09/2024: We went - without a reservation but with fingers crossed - to Au bistrot de la halle for our last night on holiday. We have had some really good meals so the bar was set quite high. We looked online at about 40 restaurants in a 30min drive radius and settled on this one. The outside has a sweet little terrace and the inside looks a bit like an office (with interesting art and square ceiling tiles) however we only noticed it as we were some of the first to arrive. Once the place filled, which it did quickly, there was a nice atmosphere. The menu had something for everyone. We had burrata, entrecote steak, truffle pasta, the kids had chicken and we all had way too much dessert! The food was excellent. Our fussy children tried everything, and liked it all. It is such a brilliant restaurant and the food despite sounding simple has clever flavours and pairings. Could you find something more picturesque? Probably. Would it have food as good as la halle? I very much doubt it. Such a gem of a restaurant, we wish we were on holiday for longer so we could come back!

10/09/2024: Whether it was the beef strips or more local, the Martelloise crust which is still quite consistent, we ate well. Good quality ingredients prepared on site. For €67, dishes and ice cream and 1/2 bottle of wine, a rather favorable quality/price ratio

21/09/2024: Very good lunch menu. Hearty, well cooked with a touch of originality. So much so that we went back 2 days in a row. If you go to St cirq Lapopie, to the towpath, it is worth making this little detour.

26/09/2024: This is an address not to be missed! A menu just like at home that changes every day. Today beef tongue with rice...preceded by a homemade soup and a plate of green beans/tomatoes (yum vinaigrette sauce!). Then for dessert, 4 possibilities. Salted butter caramel cream: killer. Adorable staff, charming boss...and all this for €16.50, including a quarter of wine per person! Go ahead and enjoy it!

15/09/2024: Avec 29 camarades randonneuses et randonneurs à la fin de notre magnifique randonnée sur les hauteurs de Cabrerets nous nous sommes rendus dans cet établissement pour prendre une collation bien méritée aux alentours de 15h30. 2 clients étaient présents dans le restaurant des Grottes donc l'établissement était quasiment vide. Nous nous sommes installés sur la terrasse abritée avec vue sur le Lot car il pleuvait. Le patron a pris nos commandes (soft, glaces, bières et autres) table de 4 par table de 4 et nous a servi au fur et à mesure, tout se passait pour le mieux. Une randonneuse qui faisait partie de notre groupe de 30 personnes n'a pas souhaité prendre une consommation alors que les autres à sa table ont commandé quelque chose, le patron lui a demandé de sortir car elle ne consommait pas !!! Sidération, elle faisait partie de notre groupe... Si nous avions su nous aurions passé notre chemin : Accueil et respect de la personne ne semblent pas être les maîtres-mots de cet établisement. Dommage c'était un beau site qui affiche d'ailleur "Accueil Pélerins" ??? Nous avons pris nos consommations très déçus de la situation, nous avons payé et sommes partis ...

12/09/2024: Accueil du patron laborieux vraiment pas commerçant ce monsieur Le déjeuner sur la terrasse très agréable. Côté cuisine les mets sont fait maison et rien à redire (delicieux foie gras) Et pour le service bravo au jeune serveur disponible souriant

03/09/2024: Stumbled upon this restaurant during our first visit to Figeac. Nothing but happiness with quality home-cooked cuisine in a deliciously retro atmosphere. Address to recommend.

21/08/2024: Bistrot charmant comme l’accueil tout sourire, nous nous sommes régalés produits frais de qualité. Plats délicieux et service rapide. Une pavlova gourmande pour clôturer le déjeuner nous a motivée pour aller découvrir Gourdon!

21/08/2024: Discovery of this restaurant during our stop in this charming village of Gourdon. Despite our "late" arrival at 8:40 p.m., we set up a table for 2 and...we had a blast!!! We see that the chef (and his team) are enjoying their kitchen! Tuna tataki with chorizo ​​mayonnaise and summer vegetables. Caesar salad with chicken with homemade breading, delicious sauce, good pieces of cheese. Desserts! Mmmmmmmm Lavender financier with peach and lavender cream. A killing, a discovery! Well done! Raspberry/coconut dessert, not sweet, very well balanced. And everything... plentiful. In short, we had a blast!! In addition, the service is done with a smile and is efficient despite the crowds of a summer evening. And..the Q/P ratio is more than reasonable. In short...go there with your eyes closed!

03/09/2024: Basically, coming for 2 days, we were so well received that we extended our stay by an additional day..... Remarkable place, 2 star hotel but which by these services could easily aim for the 3rd... ... Over these 3 days we also ate a variety of platters and gourmet dishes (a pure culinary experience)......... A attentive staff, a boss who reflects the image of his establishment...... ... We are thinking of coming back next year with family..... Recommended for travelers looking for local, regional products and authenticity.......

The hotel is perfect, with character, incredible architecture, impeccable rooms and a magnificent panorama conducive to moments of reading and relaxing in front of it. With age, we attach great importance to service. And there... We can only congratulate you. What a pleasure to discuss with the owners about their projects, life in the surrounding area, the renovation of the hotel, the maintenance of the exterior (magnificent by the way). Simple, inspired and inspiring people. We will not hesitate to come when we return to the region. Nevertheless, thank you again for your welcome and your hospitality.

12/08/2024: Very warm welcome, the host takes the time to explain the history of this magnificent, calm and peaceful place. Large parking lot, cozy and air-conditioned rooms, large swimming pool with a superb view of the hills, copious and quality breakfast. A sweet break that I highly recommend if you are passing through the beautiful village of Rocamadour.
