05/07/2026: A very warm welcome; although they didn't serve dinner, we were still treated to homemade snacks...toasted sandwiches, salad, etc. Excellent, I highly recommend it.

28/05/2026: Not a flattened French café with fluorescent lights, but a cozy café with a wide variety of drinks and lunch in the afternoon; it used to be located by the water, hence the name.

12/07/2026: A truly gourmet €50 menu from starter to dessert – a real treat! The servers were very friendly and pleasant. I highly recommend it.

28/06/2026: Small room, no air conditioning, unbearably hot, breakfast for 8 euros with not much choice, a croissant that was probably frozen, which arrived hot and crumbled, carpet everywhere even in the rooms, there's nothing better for germs.

06/10/2026: We ate very well, as usual. The food is excellent, and the owners are very friendly. We ate with my mother and son, and there's plenty of parking. October 6th was still as good as ever.

27/09/2026: I couldn't imagine a professional chef could make such bad mussels. The owner was tired and listless. A rather dreary Sunday evening. A restaurant that seemed to be on its last legs.

04/10/2026: This pizzeria is simply exceptional, the customer service is top-notch, and Emilie is incredibly kind and welcoming. The pizzas have a truly clean taste, especially the goat cheese and honey pizza, one of the best in France. Go without hesitation.

12/06/2026: The host speaks limited English, but he's super friendly and helpful. He gave us a recommendation on a place for dinner that was superb! Rooms are clean and large for a European hotel. We decided to stay a second night as the town is charming and this hotel is just a short walk from the center of town. Wonderful stay!!

05/06/2026: A very warm welcome, lovely decor with numerous photos and texts by writers in the stairwell and dining room. Each room is named after a writer with photos on the walls (we had Simone de Beauvoir). Truly charming and welcoming.

13/08/2026: We regularly visit La Gabare when we are in the Magny-Cours area for racing events, and it is always a pleasure to come back. The food is excellent, the service is consistently very good, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. We always enjoy our time here and have had nothing but positive experiences. A great restaurant that definitely deserves to be better known in the region and a place we are always happy to recommend. SKR Performance

12/06/2026: We arrived by sidecar for one night. Secure parking is available for motorcycles/bicycles. The staff is fantastic and incredibly friendly. The restaurant offers a good selection of food. Definitely a spot not to be missed during a stay in the Morvan region.

31/08/2026: Nice little bar for a coffee, but the food is a bit disappointing; only the French speakers don't seem to make much effort to speak English. I had a hamburger that was a bit too raw and had an abundance of French cheeses on it. The daily special was great.

01/08/2026: We went to eat mussels and after sitting down at a table they said they didn't have any, so we ordered Aligot. We preferred to eat inside so we wouldn't have to breathe in anyone's smoke, and since the window was open, the table that was taken outside was a smoking table. I don't want to inhale smoke, and today, four days after paying by card, I see that they have charged me for the meal again (How did they get my information for that charge?). They then made a refund, but I find it worrying that they accessed my account.

02/10/2026: Top-notch pizzeria. I highly recommend it, it's excellent. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back.

22/09/2026: I knew this pizzeria in the past; the owner was charming and the food was very good. I came in September, the weather was magnificent, but it was impossible to eat outside because the owner wouldn't open the parasols. We had to eat outside in a shady spot. In short, I won't be going back.
