29/04/2026: I had reserved a table on the terrace that morning, but when we arrived for lunch... there was no table, so we ended up sitting in the blazing sun. Anyway, moving on to the food, there was a mistake with the wine 🍷, but the waitress only told us when the bill came... the starter was very good, marinated salmon 👍 followed by mussels (I think we had the last of the pot), practically all empty shells, the mussels were in the broth. Dessert was perfect. When I went to pay, I asked if we could stay on the terrace for a bit to chat, and the woman said no because it might attract other people who would come for a drink, which isn't the case in the afternoon 🤔. A bit frustrating! It used to be better. We paid €70 for two.

24/04/2026: Pleasant setting and warm welcome, the food is good but the quantity is a little small considering the price, which makes the menu expensive in the end for €30/person.

06/02/2026: Wonderful hosts. Food was very good and the hospitality second to none. Well worth a visit to explore Burgundy from. Thank you to Petra and Berry for welcoming us into their restaurant. Look forward to seeing you again when we next visit.

18/05/2026: A very pleasant surprise! The dishes were delicious, beautifully presented, and very well served, and what's more, the prices were very reasonable. We opted for the "Good Conscience" menu (starter, main course, dessert) and were delighted with both the quality and the price. The service was impeccable, with very friendly staff. At lunchtime, the restaurant wasn't crowded, and we were able to chat comfortably at our table. In short, we had a wonderful time at this restaurant, and I highly recommend it.

02/05/2026: The service was good, the place is nice, but the food... it's really not great. The gravlax salmon is edible, but frankly, nothing special. The chicken on the Caesar salad wasn't crispy and was cold; it tasted frozen. The beef tartare was really bad. I don't usually like to waste food; I finish it even if I don't like it, but honestly... the meat wasn't good, it seemed poor quality, and the spices weren't any better. I even questioned the freshness of the product.

14/09/2025: Very friendly welcome. The rooms are a little sparsely decorated but big and clean and super comfortable and the modern bathroom has a lovely shower. The WiFi signal is good. Essentially a comfy no frills place to stay at a reasonable price. Breakfast offered at €9 although I didn’t try it. Free parking outside the hotel. Recommended!

08/09/2025: We (two people on a motorcycle trip) spent one night at this hotel. The very friendly hostess looked after us wonderfully! The rooms are simple, but they were perfect for our needs. The evening menu was also really excellent. The motorcycles can be parked in a garage.

01/03/2026: Honestly, I don't understand the negative reviews. The owner's service was very kind and efficient, the croissant is wonderful, as is the raspberry macaroni we had. The coffee was very good and the hot chocolate is spectacular. It's a privilege to have a place like this in such a small town. We will be back many times!

23/12/2025: Clearly, he more than earned his qualification in pastry cream making and his doctorate in chocolates; in short, an excellent pastry chef and chocolatier. However, he only received a passing grade for shop layout and aesthetics and was soundly failed in the master's program for smile/friendliness.

29/04/2026: Passing through Varennes-Vauzelles, we stopped for lunch. We were greeted, presumably by the owner, but he wasn't very friendly. The pizzas we ordered were well-presented and very tasty, and although we ate very well, I found the atmosphere during service to be rather boisterous. The waiters were joking, calling out to each other, and laughing quite loudly and without restraint in the dining room. As for the table service, I don't know if it was mockery or forced politeness, and there were no smiles from the staff either. A shame.

29/05/2026: I left, they didn't even acknowledge me, and they let two women go ahead of me and then sit down at a table. All this with Patrick Bruel playing in the background. I hadn't been back to Prémery in 20 years. I left.

18/05/2026: Excellent restaurant in a charming 1960s setting. Set menu €18 (starter, main course, dessert)

17/03/2026: The delivery driver didn't have GPS, so I guided him by phone. And on top of that, I had to go get the pizzas from his car. It was raining, and he didn't want to get wet! As for the carbonara, the eggs were leaking in the box—a disaster!

14/03/2026: I've been coming to this pizzeria for seven years now and I've never been disappointed. The pizzas are always excellent, generously topped, and prepared with care. The welcome is warm and the service is always pleasant. It's a place you happily return to, and the quality has remained consistent over the years, which is rare these days. I highly recommend it!

15/05/2026: I had a very good, hearty burger and perfectly cooked fries. I was greeted by a lovely and very attentive lady. I'll be back to enjoy the terrace when the weather is nicer.
