13/05/2024: I come regularly in the evening for business trips and I'm never disappointed, very nice pizza, Linguini to try and the slate where you can find good surprises, the menu is provided and the presentation of the dishes as well as the taste are up for grabs. I'm not talking about the cellar where the choice is very interesting, good tasting at the Mona Lisa. Very nice location, especially on sunny days where the terrace overlooks the Nice and close to old Bayonne..

09/03/2024: Beautifully decorated in a vintage style, My little café is “the place to be” today. In my opinion the prices are a little high.

07/03/2024: Located in the center of Bayonne, access via pedestrian streets, ideal for drinking an excellent espresso or enjoying slices of homemade cake. Haven't tried the salads or charcuterie plates yet but we'll come back!

01/03/2024: Meal on January 3, 2022 in this very pleasant restaurant. A warm welcome, a very good meal: kalaka salad.. Just.. Perfect.. And we have decent prices... I recommend.. January 3, 2023...we're coming back. Yes...it's still perfect Roasted Camembert with honey. Followed by a lost brioche (not for everyone 🤣) English caramel sauce..a treat.. delicious meal..thank you both for your welcome and your kindness...I persist...I recommend And here we go again..February 29, 2024 day in Bayonne.lunch meal roasted camenbert as good as ever..followed by a cappuccino..nothing changes good food..5 stars..we have no regrets..

20/01/2024: Accustomed to other places, all closed, I wandered around Bayonne for a while, tempted nowhere, finding similar dishes everywhere (Spanish fish for example). During my wanderings, the Corkscrew's menu caught my attention, offering tempting and different dishes right from the start, and very affordable prices. I was very well received, with a sincere smile and kindness. The musical atmosphere is very friendly and at a reasonable volume, so you can hear yourself talking and you can even chat with your table neighbors, an equally friendly human atmosphere. For the cuisine, I chose the foie gras and porcini mushroom terrine, the local trout with almonds and the pear poached in mulled wine. Everything was absolutely delicious, compliments to the chef. I learned that the menu changes approximately every fortnight, which guarantees variety, as well as quality and seasonality on the plate. The meal cost me €27.50 because I had two glasses of wine (again a fair price for good products), and a coffee. A carafe of water is provided, without requiring overpriced bottles of water, which is appreciated. In summary, I ate with great pleasure, everything is affordable, fresh and delicious. I'll be back.

14/03/2024: Certainly an address that was very popular for a while. Looking at the menu it sure is tempting. The value for money is almost good but at this level and even if we feel that the restaurateur wants to please I find that there are errors in taste which must be corrected. As an appetizer, offering black pudding is not a guarantee of pleasing everyone. It’s divisive and may put off some people. The entry, which with its evocative name made you want to eat, ended in disappointment. Indeed, a perfect egg must be perfect otherwise it will flop. Mine was an egg yolk that needed 2 minutes of cooking to be perfect. For the dish what can I say other than that the vegetable and meat pairing is correct but when it lacks salt it's a shame. (Tasting is helpful before serving) especially the sauce. For dessert, nothing to complain about because I am a Grand Marnier soufflé aficionado. In short, a good table which is worth the detour, provided that some necessary corrections are made.

01/03/2024: There is now no waiter in this restaurant, just a really unfriendly cook. Very unpleasant welcome. We had been seated for 10 minutes and still had not received the food menu. So we asked him but he told us that he works alone, in a very unpleasant tone, and he didn't give it to us. I have never seen this. It's not our problem if he works alone. We then left. If he doesn't like his job, he can just do another job.

13/02/2024: We are coming out of a family evening at Zapi, the pizzas and their fine doughs are exquisite. The owner of this family pizzeria, caring and passionate, is as kind and polite as we don't come across any more. We had a lovely time with the children.
