28/06/2026: Original concepts in a friendly atmosphere: Guided tours Themed puzzles to solve Tastings of regional products I participated in two events with my colleagues and thoroughly enjoyed them. A team-based, competitive puzzle to solve on the slopes of Croix-Rousse, followed by a tasting. It's easy to get caught up in the game, but fair play is key! 😁 A private evening with platters of crudités, charcuterie, cheeses, and drinks. Generous portions and a warm welcome. 🤗

24/06/2026: I had a truly wonderful time rediscovering Lyon thanks to Dorian, a super friendly and engaging guide. He brought moments from Lyon's history to life in a very vivid and even poetic way, with a moving reading of a poem by the Resistance fighter René Leynaud, and through issues of "Les Rues de Lyon" (The Streets of Lyon) and truly captivating comics from "L'Épicerie Séquentielle" (The Sequential Grocery). Two of his illustrators sketched the area during the tour and shared many interesting anecdotes with us—particularly about the history of the Canuts (silk weavers). They very kindly signed their artwork once we arrived at the restaurant "Le Bar des Guides Repères," a truly welcoming place that I highly recommend! Thank you for this wonderful experience! I'll be back for a tour of the streets of Vieux Lyon (Old Lyon) and to revisit the history of the Canuts on the workers' hill ;) And also to grab a bite at your lovely restaurant, whose cooperative principle I appreciate and share! 08/10/2026: Such a cute place. I’m coeliac and the waiter had no issue with it, made the sweet crepe (lemon and sugar) gluten free for me. My friend had a gallette and it was all really nice.

25/09/2026: The owner was super friendly and great about explaining French wines. He asked us our preferences than came out with wines to match. Highly recommend!

20/09/2026: A very lovely gem in Lyon. The owner, Christophe, is a kind and hospitable man and immediately makes you feel comfortable in this small wine haven. Tell him what you like and he’ll pour you some wonderful treasures! Thank you again for a lovely evening, Christophe. Next time we’ll stay in Lyon longer to enjoy some more glasses! ☺️

11/09/2026: We went there for our 10th wedding anniversary, and it was a very good experience. Special mention for the signature egg, which was excellent. No need to book in advance for a Thursday evening.

08/09/2026: A fantastic dining experience at MicroSillon. First off, a superb welcome and quick seating if you've made a reservation. In the evening, they serve tapas to share (or not 🤣), with a limited selection that reassures you about the quality of the food. Most of the tapas are fish-based, but there are also vegetarian and meat options. The portions are decent; they're not enormous, but if you order (as we were advised) two dishes per person, it's quite satisfying. The desserts are also very good and sophisticated. MicroSillon wouldn't be complete without wine, and for novices like us, we received excellent advice and were able to taste the wines before making our final choices – a real plus. I recommend it for customers looking for refined cuisine that isn't excessively expensive, in a welcoming and warm setting in the heart of a charming little square.

13/09/2026: Rediscovering this Lyon restaurant landmark. Impeccable service (like in Bocuse's restaurants), good food (a short but well-balanced menu), and a very good Pouilly-Fuissé. And L. Gerra is friendly and approachable! A great time.

18/09/2026: My friend got kicked out of the bar because a fight broke out and he got hit (his nose was bleeding). The bouncer took a minute to come down and remove the aggressor. He came back the next day to pay for his bottle of Ruinart, and I'm being turned away tonight because the bouncer refuses to acknowledge his excessively long response time. The bar and the staff are excellent, though; the atmosphere is great when you're not getting mugged.

14/09/2026: Excellent brunch, a truly pleasant surprise. A warm welcome, and even without a reservation, the wait was reasonable depending on the time. The €24 brunch menu is unbeatable: a savory dish, a sweet dish, muesli or something similar, a hot drink, and a cold drink. I haven't seen better elsewhere, especially at this price. The pancakes are thick, fluffy, and everything is really delicious. Efficient service, generous portions: I had trouble finishing it because it was so filling. A place to keep in mind for a complete and high-quality brunch.

14/09/2026: Excellent food, but a worrying work environment. The value for money is truly unbeatable compared to other Lebanese restaurants in the area. Their chicken shawarma is great. Unfortunately, my experience was marred: I witnessed a violent altercation among the staff, leaving a waitress in tears and deeply distressed. This disrupts the flow of the place and makes me much less inclined to return. I sincerely hope that management will take steps to improve the well-being of its staff at work.

09/10/2026: Far too much noise and very unfriendly staff. We were turned away even though there was a table available. They wanted to make money from a larger group, not just two people. So sad!!! My advice: never go there!

21/06/2026: We were there for the Fête de la Musique and what an atmosphere! A rock band every 45 minutes. A real treat. The bar inside is cool too.

22/09/2026: Chance led me to this establishment by simply asking a healthy-looking fellow, "Where can I find a traditional Lyonnais bouchon?" "Why don't you go to Rue du Garet!" he replied. I went to the first one I came across (on Garet Street). I had pressed pig's ear, the jelly was excellent and the crunch just right. Then came the tripe, which I'd been wanting to try: breaded tripe served with tartar sauce and a dash of sherry vinegar. For dessert, blackcurrant ice cream with whole berries, drizzled with Marc de Bourgogne. The food here has real flavor! The attentive service and the theatrical decor of the dining room place you in a spot that has seen its share of history...
