28/06/2026: A tiny village nestled in the Vendée countryside, but very vibrant. A fantastic evening this Friday night, the eve of the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival). A high-quality food truck, although the portions and therefore the selection were a bit limited. The atmosphere was excellent, with a perfect singer-musician. This is a perfect example of how a municipality can achieve what it wants.

22/07/2024: C'est la seconde fois que je viens et toujours aussi ravie. Un cadre sympa, une serveuse d'une amabilité et une gentillesse absolue, toujours souriante. La nourriture est tellement savoureuse: vous y trouverez des mélanges subtils d'épices et d'arômes et les quantités sont tout à fait correctes. Je recommande vraiment ce petit restaurant simple et intimiste.

Given the numerous customer reviews describing similar situations specifically concerning this person over the years, my experience is far from isolated. From the moment we arrived, the manager made us feel rushed. We were practically expected to order even though she hadn't finished with the previous customers. I ordered two meals, and when I asked for the student discount to be applied to both, the person who presented herself as the manager immediately verbally assaulted me. She was unable to prove that the discount only applied to one meal and told me that she was the one who wrote Subway's terms and conditions. She then insulted me repeatedly and made derogatory comments about my appearance to other customers. Many customers present were particularly shocked by the scene, and I was able to gather their accounts. I have never been insulted in my life over a cookie. When I asked for the receipt, the person claiming to be the manager refused to issue it. It was finally another employee who agreed to give it to me. Furthermore, the portions were much smaller compared to other Subway locations. This person would have been better off cleaning the restaurant, as not a single table was clean, rather than insulting customers and then hiding in the back room. I am filing a report regarding the refusal to honor the promotional offer with the fraud squad, and I do not rule out pursuing the legal action this aggression warrants with the appropriate authorities.

During my visit in May 2025, for no apparent reason, while I was choosing my meal, the manager, who is supposed to be an example to her employees, made a very inappropriate and offensive remark: "No pork," with a provocative and mocking smile. This remark was unsurprisingly linked to my appearance and ethnic origin. I clearly do not intend to let this go. To let this go, to tolerate this kind of remark, is unacceptable. Without any action on your part, I will take the necessary steps on my end. A word to the wise.

07/02/2026: This morning, I went to this cheese shop in Les Sables d’Olonne for the first time to buy various cheeses: Abondance, Comté, truffle Brie, Saint-Nectaire, and Brin de Noix (Walnut Brie). In terms of price, it's not cheap, but I believe that a high price should reflect high quality. Unfortunately, my experience was rather mixed: Brin de Noix: the name is misleading; the walnut flavor is almost nonexistent, very subtle. Saint-Nectaire: not at all ripened, firm, and flavorless despite being brought to the correct temperature for tasting. Truffle Brie: visually, you can see the small black pieces, but the truffle flavor is imperceptible. 18-month Comté: decent, with small crystals and an interesting flavor; it was the only one I really liked. Abondance: disappointing, tasteless, even though I particularly love this cheese and its mountain flavors. There were about ten of us tasting these cheeses, and as enthusiasts, we were very disappointed. The expected flavors were missing, and the tasting experience didn't live up to our expectations. Therefore, I won't be returning to this cheese shop and am still looking for a good cheesemonger in Les Sables d'Olonne.
