07/07/2026: I had a wonderful meal at Paris Food in Avallon with my beloved wife and friends. In this special place for us, we witnessed her marriage proposal (the ring was inside the kebab wrap; she almost choked, but she said yes! 👍). The food was delicious and hot, the drinks were perfectly chilled, and the sauces were fantastic—there was a wide variety, and the proportions were just right. 10/10/2026: This is ridiculous, they're making us wait for nothing in the drive-thru even though I'm the only car

02/10/2026: The salad was completely inedible: there was hardly any in the box, and the few leaves that were there were all limp and looked very old. Very disappointing for a salad that was supposed to be fresh. Why sell salad in this condition? It's unacceptable! This has to stop!

04/02/2026: I stayed two nights, one of which was for business. The hotel is in a state of disrepair, really... it's completely dilapidated. Everything is old, almost abandoned. The feeling the hotel gives us is that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it?" They don't want to make a big deal out of it, like, "We know, but that's just how it is." For example, at breakfast, I witnessed a guest complaining that the coffee machine wasn't making cappuccino (but some kind of drink that was half water, half... who knows what), and the hotel employee replied, "Yes, that's true, but nobody ever asks for cappuccino anyway." For my part, I noticed that the Nutella expired in January 2026, and it's February 4th... Basically, the whole hotel is like that! The general feeling is one of "it's still passable"... You can't really say it's dirty, but why dust it? It's not broken, it's still functional, so why repair it? The walls are still standing, so why repaint them (or fill the holes)? The maintenance worker must be in jail 😂 That said, the hotel is quiet, all the staff are very polite, the heating works, the water is hot, and there are no bedbugs!! That's something, at least! I'm almost sorry to leave such a review and photos, because there's real potential. It's such a shame. Please do something! A fresh coat of paint on all the walls would be a good start.

17/12/2025: The room was outdated, nothing like the photos on the website, and poorly insulated. The meal cost €30, which was okay 🤷🏻‍♂️, not worth €20, but you have to take what you can get. However, the staff were very unfriendly, even downright rude. The two female guards last night were like prison guards. If they're not happy in their jobs, the customers aren't to blame. Otherwise, everything went well.

06/07/2026: We were just passing through the area. We were having drinks, and when my glass was full of lipstick, they changed it... my juice from Brico had a rather strange taste. I checked the date: 03/2025, more than a year and a half past its expiration date. We were supposed to eat there, but I was so scared of getting sick that we left. No wonder there were few people on the terrace, unlike other restaurants. Thank you to the canteen for serving us after 2 pm. How can this kind of place still operate with complete impunity?

06/07/2026: Unacceptable, we were served apricot juice that was over a year and a half past its expiry date.

28/09/2026: It's robbery: we pay for items we don't receive. They forgot fries in one of the meals, and one of the two patties in a burger was missing. It wasn't an oversight caused by rushing: there was no one else there, and we still waited 20 minutes. It's not even the first time an order has been incomplete... I won't be going back.

19/09/2026: Honestly, I won't go to the McDonald's in the housing project anymore. No smiles, always gets orders wrong, no apologies, the manager isn't up to the task, except for a smile when you pay.

16/10/2026: The middle-aged male owner looked at us, an Asian family, with a very displeased expression and refused to even tell us what drinks to order, claiming he could not give us a drink menu due to COVID. Although it has been several days since we arrived in France, this is the first time I have seen such a vicious racist. We left without even being able to try a drink. It is a very unpleasant shop. I greeted him politely upon entering and attempted to communicate using a translator because my French is poor; however, even my 9-year-old son shook his head in disbelief at him making excuses about COVID in 2026. This was the first shop we visited in Auxerre, but it ruined our impression of the city, so we have decided to move on to another city. I have determined that this violates the French authorities' anti-discrimination provisions and have reported it. I hereby announce that I will pursue this matter to the end and will punish any discrimination against Asians, especially Koreans, to the very end. Pourquoi refusez-vous de nous servir alors que les autres clients peuvent commander des boissons ? Est-ce parce que nous sommes asiatiques? Ce traitement est unacceptable.

17/08/2026: The service was nonexistent, as was the menu, so it was impossible to know the prices before ordering! The glasses weren't very clear.

07/08/2026: Avoid at all costs! This hotel is unsanitary. The photos are several years old. The owner is dishonest and clearly acts in bad faith, refusing any discussion, not only with our case but with several other guests. Other hotels in the city have also heard about the deplorable condition of some rooms. Faced with this lack of communication, we had to find alternative accommodation for our return trip, without any assistance from the hotel. An excerpt from our complaint and their response is below to give you an idea. Hello, we were very disappointed with our stay. The room was infested with mold. The furniture was not clean. I barely slept due to severe breathing difficulties. I spent the night suffering from asthma attacks related to the mold and dust from the duvet. Under these circumstances, I would like to be accommodated in a cleaner room for my return trip or receive a refund for this weekend's stay. Hotel's response: Hello, We are sorry to hear that you slept poorly, most likely due to your asthma, as there is no mold in our rooms. Perhaps you mistook the smell of the cleaning products for something else. We are surprised that you did not contact us directly so that we could investigate and take action if necessary. Sincerely, Clearly, this person doesn't like receiving negative reviews.

11/05/2026: It's horrible, I'm speechless. Avoid at all costs! It's the worst hotel I've ever spent a night in; between the unsanitary conditions, the dampness, the leak, and the nauseating smell in the room, this hotel needs to be inspected by health authorities because it's unacceptable to continue lying to customers about the photos! I REALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. STAY AWAY!!!!
