15/08/2026: So, I already shared my experience about a year and a half or two years ago, where I indicated I was very happy. Today, I deleted it and posted another one, much to my regret. To summarize, the price has gone up, but the portion size has been drastically reduced. The first photo was of the XL taco from two years ago, and the second is of last week's, also an XL. I should mention that I cut it in half to check that it was still hot before eating it. So clearly, you're paying the price of an XL for a taco the size of an L, because the second tortilla is only there to cover the first. Frankly, it's not the first time the portions have decreased significantly, but until now I went back thinking it was a mistake. But this is too much; it's getting worse and worse, so I prefer to inform future customers. I also hope the manager sees my comment and understands that customers aren't fools! We are not begging, we are paying for a service that is clearly not up to standard.

10/08/2026: Very disappointed! There was a very arrogant person who respected no one and spoke to us as if we weren't in charge. This type of person needs to be reviewed; they clearly don't know how to communicate. What a shame.

20/04/2026: One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. The shrimp chips were disgusting, reeking of grease from the start; I couldn't eat them. The starter, a canned salad, was okay. And then... we waited and waited and waited... After half an hour, they realized they'd forgotten about us! The meal was rushed, and in the end, it lasted less time than the wait between the starter and the main course! It was so bad that I didn't want to risk it with dessert, so I chose nougat. Well, I couldn't eat that either; it was at least a week old, completely stale and opaque, the sesame seeds had even gone rancid! Disgusting. I do not recommend it. It doesn't look expensive, but when you leave more than half your meal because it's frankly bad and you're afraid of getting sick, yes, it's expensive, very expensive :(

22/09/2026: Superb waitress who worked really hard to keep a busy evening dinner session happy. Food was tasty and a friendly atmosphere. Recommended.

18/09/2026: Four of us had lunch, we ate very well and received excellent, very fast service. The prices are very reasonable, €20 per person.

19/03/2026: Hello, I spent one night in this hotel and I would avoid it. The reception was friendly, but the room was appalling: completely unsanitary, with moldy windows, mildew, and other issues, stains on the carpet, a cracked bathroom ceiling, mediocre cleaning, and the bed linens weren't hypoallergenic. It was for a business trip, so one night is acceptable, but I find it expensive for what it is, considering the renovations they need to do.

09/03/2026: Overall, a good hotel. The rooms are spacious (at least those on the 5th floor) thanks to the terrace, and the breakfasts are plentiful and varied. However, if you're in room 500 like me, bring earplugs because the elevator machinery is right on the other side of the bathroom. Get ready for a lot of noise every time someone operates the elevator.

22/09/2026: Upon our admittedly late arrival at 1:30 pm, we received a less than warm welcome from the waitress. The bread basket was practically thrown in our faces, and cleanliness was nonexistent. The fabric tablecloth was covered in stains, concealed by paper placemats. The food was mediocre, with only a single teaspoon of jam placed on a barely folded crepe. And the restrooms... I won't even mention them. A tourist trap. We were concerned about hygiene. Avoid this place.

12/09/2026: Staff not very friendly, the food needs improvement, the salad had sand in it, the green beans looked like plastic, in short, many things need improvement.

19/02/2026: Great restaurant, really very friendly staff. I recommend it.

29/09/2026: The food wasn't great, but the waiter was pleasant and accommodating.

21/09/2026: We were particularly disappointed with the overall service. Room 22 was cramped with no facilities for clothes, the hot water was scalding hot, and there was no cold water. The meals were very expensive and of mediocre quality. Room 11, assigned as a replacement for 22, was larger but outdated, with a wobbly toilet seat and noisy nighttime. The entire facility is outdated. This place deserves to be better maintained and improved. However, the staff were very welcoming and attentive to the guests' well-being.

01/09/2026: We were a group of nine for dinner and an overnight stay: no one was satisfied with the service. It's expensive for what it is! €200 for a couple, half-board, with an aperitif, but nothing on the plate. The waitress blamed the caterer, and there were two small chicken skewers with pesto pasta, fruit compote, and a crumbled biscuit. No wine. In short, thank you, we won't be back, despite the staff's kindness, which wasn't their fault.

13/08/2026: Low-quality pizza, ground meat like tasteless semolina with a grainy texture, toppings that fall off when you take a slice… first visit and last!!! Avoid at all costs!

06/08/2026: I recommend this pizzeria because the pizzas are very good, not too expensive, and the wait time to receive your order is not long.

20/09/2026: An old-fashioned village pub, with many locals as well. Where do you still find that in Vézelay? Try the Melon here, from Les Celliers de l’Abbaye.

20/09/2026: Arrived at 2:15 PM. We received a very warm welcome in the dining room with our dog. For a quick and delicious lunch. Excellent value for money. We recommend it.

15/05/2026: A very pleasant welcome. A lovely, generous sharing platter. Unlimited calf's head. Personally, I found the sauce barely seasoned and a bit bland, but overall it was good. The fried small fish was excellent. My only complaint is the frozen and microwaved dessert – it was too ordinary. A homemade tarte tatin is so much better! I'll definitely go back; we had a great time.

11/04/2026: I'm giving it one star because I can't give less. Very disappointed. The mojito was awful, the whisky was dry and watery with ice cubes, three salad leaves cost €2, and the fried smelt was inedible. The service was too slow and unpleasant. The toilet was covered in graffiti. We waited 50 minutes for the bill and had to ask for it again. Apparently, we were bothering the few other customers. Group of 8

03/09/2026: UNACCEPTABLE! The waitress really has the nerve to work for such a boss; it's unacceptable to yell at her like that during service, she treats her like her dog. To send her to the slaughter in front of the customers because MADAME cleaned her kitchen and refuses to serve them anymore, even though they have a reservation and are 30 minutes late (the restaurant was closing an hour and a half later)! I sincerely hope she takes sick leave and finds another job (for depression, I suspect). Despite her boss talking to her like a dog, she kept her head held high and a smile on her face—honestly, hats off to her! I would have thrown the plate at her! Especially since she's staying in her kitchen; she's not the one who's going to get involved with the customers! This can't go on forever! In any case, kudos to the little waitress for putting up with people like that.
