31/08/2024: Visit this Friday, August 30 to the Donezan Heritage House and the Usson Castle. We are received very warmly by the person at reception with whom we engage in a fairly long and complete conversation about this magnificent "country" of Donezan, about the deterioration of the climate which is dangerously endangering the "winter sports" activity. surrounding stations. We appreciate and admire the architecture, the layout of the rooms, the eminently educational content of what is on display and the rather dizzying character of the castle on this site which is a real jewel. Bravo for this enhancement of local heritage! A special mention for the very “speaking” slideshow in the beautiful auditorium. A treat!

23/08/2024: For €4.50 it is not bad, but keep in mind that you are not going to see much, do not expect a castle as such, because it is demolished and they are being rehabilitated. Good to see the old room exhibition and various things found in the area. Keep in mind that the access road to the area has narrowings and the French come quickly and do not slow down. You have to leave the car in a grass parking lot next to the river and go uphill for about 15 minutes following the path, which is paved, but there are steep sections. If you are not in shape, you make stops. If you are in the area you can go, but I don't recommend going on purpose. Some type of guide with explanations of the rooms is missing so you don't have to imagine them.

21/08/2024: A restaurant with a magnificent view, we ate there twice but the service and welcome were really average. We took a children's menu and as usual it's a scoop of ice cream, but we saw a little girl having an ice cream, so we asked for the same thing but that's not possible... in short, disappointed and excessive!

10/09/2024: After several weeks driving around France we just fancied something different to eat and, when we spotted L’Imperial in Mirepoix, the thought of some noodles had us positively drooling. After a couple of beers in town therefore, we went to L’Imperial and from the quite extensive menu we shared some spring rolls, ginger pork, fried rice and their version of special fried noodles. All were well cooked, tasty and generous in portion. The service was very nice and the prices reasonable.

15/08/2024: I found this place very friendly and family-friendly. The hostel manager at reception is very nice. Breakfast is plentiful and included in the price. Very happy with our night and the good value for money.

08/08/2024: Horrible pizza trop cuire!! Des frezzbe... Dame pas aimable n’y allez pas, je ne vous le recommande pas font pas de sauce piquante à emporter, et la dame ose me dire la prochaine fois ramenez votre contenant, déjà je viens de claquer 90 € et en plus je dois ramener mon petit pot

15/09/2024: Great place Le Casti… good food and good drinks, on the beautiful medieval square in Mirepoix… I had the crispy chicken goujons with frites and a Grimbergen beer. Lovely. People at Le Casti are very friendly too, makes all the difference.

10/09/2024: Le Casti is a popular restaurant and bar on the main square. It’s a smart place with good service, and a pleasant place to sit and watch the world trundle past, They have a decent selection of pression but the most ordinary lager they had is apparently Grimbergen, which is way too strong for a session beer, and not really to our taste.

30/10/2024: Schedules not up to date like everything else in the area, unbearable. Really too bad, it doesn't even make you want to try again later.

26/08/2024: 3 ice creams 2 scoops + a Liège coffee = 31€ Find the error!!! Obviously we were the only customers, that’s understandable.
