My father, originally from Phnom Penh, was a chef… What a pleasure to rediscover such flavors! 😊 Having traveled to several Asian countries and tried many Asian restaurants in France, I can say that this is one of the few places where you find truly authentic tastes. I noticed that the rice they use is definitely not sushi rice. For the price, you can find much better elsewhere.

09/01/2026: As a long-time regular at this restaurant, I have to say that the quality of both the service and the food has declined significantly. Zen Sai used to be one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Toulouse, but for the past few months, it's clear that the effort has waned. The service is often slow and poor (sometimes even unpleasant), the food is less tasty, and the wasabi and ginger are horribly dry, as if they've been sitting in the fridge for days… It's still a good restaurant, but I've come to expect much better.

24/01/2026: This review accurately summarizes the current situation at the restaurant, so you can decide if it's worth it despite the mixed reviews. We've been going there for about 10 years, but only occasionally. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet with Asian specialties… and more! Upon entering, you're greeted by a server who takes your order quickly when it's not too busy. Be warned, it fills up fast, but for only €20 on weekends, you have access to all the dishes. Rest assured, there are plenty of drinks, appetizers, and other options besides the buffet. What's most surprising is the incredible selection: whatever your tastes, you're sure to find something you love. My plate looked like a Picasso painting, and yet it didn't even represent a quarter of the dishes available in the center of the buffet. A major plus: a cooking station where a chef prepares your meat or other ingredients right before your eyes. For those who read my previous review, here you'll find a real ribeye steak, which is a real plus. As for the service, kudos to the servers: a very well-coordinated team, taking orders, refilling carafes, clearing tables quickly despite the crowd… hats off to them! The overall atmosphere is also very pleasant: the customers all seem delighted with their meal, and that's always nice to see. A few points for improvement: few instructions on the dishes for people with allergies, some preparations may not be entirely "homemade," and some very generous portions (sushi, etc.) require serving yourself small portions to be able to try everything! Questions remain about the employees' working conditions, especially since the restaurant is open 7 days a week. Prices also vary depending on the time of day, being more expensive on weekends and in the evenings. Another bonus: ice cream and sorbet machine, popcorn, microwave, and many other surprises not found in all-you-can-eat buffets. In summary: if you want to treat yourself and your family at an affordable price, go for it! But avoid it if you're on a diet, the temptations are too great.

19/01/2026: An excellent neighborhood restaurant where you're welcomed like family. The owners are lovely, the food is homemade, the flavors are incredible, and the portions are generous. Try the beef samosas; they're divine. And if you like caramel pork, it's one of the best I've ever had. We'll definitely be back.

Restaurants offering buffets sometimes have very questionable or even bad dishes, here everything was delicious made almost live in front of us. A wide variety of delicious choices. The price almost put us off and then faced with the quality we can only bow. So you want to eat delicious things you can go there with your eyes closed.
