31/03/2024: Very good cuisine. To be done again with pleasure. A delight for our taste buds throughout the meal. Very good attention from the servers.

23/03/2024: The setting is very pleasant on the banks of the Charente. The menu is pleasant and original and everything is made on site with as many local products as possible. The dishes are relatively inventive. The cuisine is excellent. The service needs to be improved because it is approximate and slow. When we report it we respond in an inappropriate tone. The frame is very nice.

05/11/2023: As of 2022 this site has been ruined by over development by unsympathetic owners and managers. We sold our Benimar mobile home and it was removed and transported back to Spain. We are delighted to have no further dealings with this once beautiful campsite.

11/10/2023: What a fantastic site with wonderful hosts and staff, all were really friendly and helpful. When we arrived we had a problem with our car, which despite having taken out breakdown cover (which was useless) took around 3 weeks for us to sort out the problem. Jiske and Peter (the hosts) were really helpful; they arranged for a member of staff to take us shopping which would have been difficult for us as the shops were a 10 minute drive away, they provided a jack for the car which we repaired ourselves, they could not have been more helpful Anyway back to the site, it is as I said fantastic, the pitches have lots of space and shade and the facilities are spotless. There is a lovely swimming pool and children’s pool with plenty of sun loungers. The area its self is lovely with cycle and walking routes directly from the site. There are children’s play areas too so this site suits families; everything you need is there for you. Thank you Jiske and Peter for all your help, looking forward to staying on your lovely site again in the future.

31/03/2024: it's mainly for pastries or other things like éclairs for 3 euros+ whereas they were bought for 30 cents at Lidl.

05/04/2024: Absolutely avoid. Incompetent staff unable to serve a correct order. 30 to 45 minutes of waiting even though it's not a rush. Always missing something in the order and unable to read the order, leaving the cheese in the sandwiches even though they have been removed. Unfriendly staff barely saying hello and speaking badly to people. We won't go back there again

01/04/2024: Sometimes I am well received and sometimes not, today I was asked to stay outside because I have a service dog for health reasons while a couple of people with their pet dog were in eating inside. I don't understand

30/03/2024: Disappointing we order 2 menus with 2 sundaes 🍦: given the price I wasn't expecting an ice cream base. I went to the counter to show the ice cream and asked if the level had dropped (the pots were correctly filled before)? Answer no, it's normal, it's the calibration! I'm at another McDonald's today and it seems that the calibration is different. I invite the one in Champniers to consult an ophthalmologist or to review his settings
