20/05/2026: We came hoping to enjoy a good meal of quality cuisine and were quite prepared to pay the price for a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, we were all very disappointed.
The ribeye steak was completely underseasoned, and the two duck breasts we ordered rare were anything but when they arrived. When the waiter finally noticed our dissatisfaction, we pointed out that the side dishes were still missing. They were only brought to us after we had finished eating.
The pasta was bland, the risotto very small, and overall the dishes seemed very basic for the price. In the end, we all wished we had simply ordered burgers.
The service was also disappointing. We were a table of seven, and the two women at the table didn't even have time to respond when asked if they wanted coffee: the waiter had already left.
We also felt judged because of our age, as if young customers couldn't appreciate good food or be willing to spend money on a truly quality meal. The manager's attitude reinforced this impression, especially when she asked if we wanted to take the pasta home "since we probably had to work early the next day." This remark struck us as inappropriate and condescending.
In the end, none of the seven of us felt the experience was worth the price. We won't be returning.
13/05/2026: Everything was in keeping with the setting, at least that day. We were pleasantly surprised by the decor when we entered. It was the last positive point of our lunch. A young, pleasant, smiling waitress seated us, and a young man, equally kind, brought us the menu. The waitress took our order: set menus, glasses of wine, gourmet coffees, and a standard carafe of water.
The bread basket arrived, followed by the main courses, then the glasses of wine. No carafe. We asked again, and a third waiter, without a smile, pedantic or pretentious to a fault, brought it to us.
The portions were small. The beef was only moderately tender, and the fries were meager.
Once we had finished our main courses, we waited for dessert. A fourth waiter with curly hair came to ask us what we wanted. "We ordered desserts right from the start."
"Very well, I'll check."
20 minutes later, still nothing!
We went to the counter to complain and finally get the rest of our meal.
We were surprised that we were there off-season, the restaurant was very empty that day at lunchtime, and the service was lacking. We're worried about the high season! If there even is a high season in Angoulême.
To be fair to the staff, this establishment seems to be selective about its clientele. From the moment you arrive until you're seated at your table, management only seems to care about regular customers.
It's a shame, the decor led us to expect a lovely experience.

01/05/2026: The terrace was lovely. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We were served our meals in 15 minutes.
Everything was delicious! Special mention for the kiwi pavlova and the baby-friendly atmosphere!
We will gladly return.

The welcome and service are warm and attentive. As for the food, the dishes are delicious and generous. An address I highly recommend!

29/04/2026: The service was quite quick and friendly ^^ The only slight downside was the parking lot, which was really too small; I had to circle it five times before finally finding a space 😅
29/04/2026: Mixed experience this Friday evening with the owner/manager speaking very loudly to her team (who were clearly under pressure)... it's not exactly a pleasant atmosphere in a restaurant, even a fast-food one... There was an order error; we received mini ice creams instead of the regular size, but the person bringing our order quickly corrected the mistake. After thinking about it, and considering the size of the burgers compared to the price, I wonder if we also received "mini" burgers. Anyway, we left quickly so as not to stress the staff out even more. Good luck to everyone!

16/05/2026: First time in this bar, we went there to play a game of pool and darts, just a typical student outing… We had barely arrived (I'm not exaggerating, we had only stepped inside) when a woman (the owner) literally yelled at us, "You're minors! You're minors! There are minors in this group!" We were a bit shocked and incredulous, but we thought the woman was joking (it was so surreal), so we went up to the bar, and that's when we noticed the woman's strange and very aggressive behavior. "Did someone just laugh?" "Who was making fun of me?" We offered her our ID cards as proof of age, but it was no use (the worst part is that no one reacted to her aggressive behavior; she was literally shouting throughout the bar, and her colleague seemed to think it was normal). Frankly, we left the bar completely bewildered by the situation, and I'm not surprised by the recent comments suggesting she was on drugs because her eyes were wide and she was making numerous nervous gestures.
Response to the comment: We understand the restrictions regarding minors, but this does not justify the aggressive reception, especially since we offered to show our ID cards as proof of age. I could say that it's also defamatory to refuse entry to people based on their appearance rather than their actual identity (since we were all adults).
Furthermore, we simply agree with the previous comments which also describe the manager's completely erratic behavior (including some comments that explicitly mention physical aggression), which can really lead to confusion regarding certain consumption patterns. Before saying that our judgment was excessive, it's primarily the opinion of many "customers" who had a similar and unpleasant experience.

The staff were nonchalant and in no hurry.
Everyone was opening their bags because many were missing. The toilets were not clean and there was no toilet paper.
