14/08/2024: Impossible to reserve by telephone, we do not deign to answer. Very irregular service (forgotten, lukewarm coffee, teapot without lid and without tea, once the tea has been received the water in the teapot is barely lukewarm...).
For the moment a victim of their success but not taking the right direction.
The setting is beautiful if you are on the terrace in good weather. The advantage of this Tavern.

19/09/2024: After a weekend in Douai we took Americans to this establishment. We had a blast. Very very good fries and not greasy which is very nice!!! Very warm welcome. Don’t hesitate to go there!!

The Moon Steak was tasty but Monsieur was expecting more tender meat.
The Mac and Cheese was good too.
02/09/2024: High price but respectable quality and quantity! However, I didn't get the Burger I ordered but apparently that didn't bother the waiter since no commercial gesture was made, not even a coffee or even an apology. When I pointed it out just an “ah good”. At €170 for four I would like to pay for what I ordered even if the neighbor's Burger wasn't so bad!

Les Travers de porc au miel cuit au feu de bois sont excellents et sont pour nous les meilleurs dans la région...Un patron super sympa et des jeunes serveurs qui font très bien leur travail dans un lieu plein de caractère Flamand.

Nous y avions fait un repas de famille il y a 2 ans et nous avions été enchantés tant par la qualité de la cuisine que par l'accueil.
Forts de cette belle expérience, nous avons, hier, renouvelé l'expérience qui s'est avéré un véritable fiasco . On nous a proposé les mêmes plats que 2 ans auparavant, nous nous attendions donc à un vrai régal. Quelle déception ! Les plats qu'on nous a servi étaient quasi immangeables, mal cuits. Une honte ! Ceux qui ont mangé l'ont fait uniquement parce qu'ils avaient faim.
Quant à l'accueil, c'est simple, il n'y en avait pas.
Que s'est-il passé en 2 ans ? Changement de cuisinier ? Changement de direction ? Les 2 à mon avis.
A EVITER ABSOLUMENT !

21/07/2024: It's the only one close to the townhall but be fast. It closes early on a week's day. :-)
You go there to have a quit drink or spend time with friends. The barman knows his stuff. He'll let you be, but serve you in a sec when you order. Good stuff!
