12/12/2024: The atmosphere is nice, the beers are good (even if not to everyone's taste), the fries are excellent and the staff are friendly. On the other hand, the service is slow... Arrived at 12:10 p.m., left at 2:10 p.m. Almost 45 min between main course and dessert... Too long.. 12/12/2024, new visit on a weekday evening. No wait, friendly waitresses. RAS

10/12/2024: Bar : Great bar! A long choice of craft beers, each as good as the other. You can order directly from your table with a QR code. There is happy hour Monday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The bar is large with a ground floor, 2 floors, a terrace on the ground floor and a roof top. The roof top is much nicer than that of the Nū located 2 steps from here, it is large, with a beautiful view of the park. One of the best bars in Lille according to my criteria. Restaurant : We had the opportunity to test their estaminet located on the ground floor. Good surprise too. The food was local and very good. Desserts too. We will definitely come back. Very good quality price. The big advantage of Hein is that it is located a stone's throw from Lille Flandres station, and that it is large enough to never feel crowded. Warm and friendly atmosphere.

11/02/2026: This KFC restaurant has a lot of potential and is well located in the heart of Roubaix Euroteleport. However, the service is poor and repeatedly forgets items in the order (fries, tenders, etc.). The same goes for the burgers, which are made hastily... needs improvement!

05/04/2026: The food was really great. Our order was taken by a smiling woman, but the dishes were served by a gentleman who seemed a bit gloomy, not smiling, and almost drunk. A shame, but beyond that, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you to the kitchen! 👍

24/01/2026: We had a wonderful evening at the tavern. The Friday menu with drinks included is fantastic! The four courses to choose from were delicious. There were eight of us, and everyone found something they loved. The friendly service is always impeccable! As a bonus, we got a tour of the second dining room and the garden—we can't wait for warmer weather! Whether you're at the front or the back, the restaurant is very welcoming. A very pleasant evening! Thank you.

27/02/2026: Review of the GASTRONOMIC restaurant: My experience at La Maison Demarcq in no way reflects what one would expect from a fine dining restaurant. Wearing a suit is unfortunately not enough to guarantee professional service. The waitresses on duty that evening did not seem trained to meet the requirements of this type of establishment: cutlery dropped during clearing, an empty water bottle left on the table for half the meal without being offered another… and these are just a few examples. The most disappointing aspect was the handling of a perfectly legitimate comment regarding my partner's starter. We had all ordered the set menu, but his plate was noticeably richer in aspic than those of the other diners. When I pointed this out, the waitress replied that the kitchen had probably made a mistake by sending an à la carte starter instead of the one from the set menu. I expressed that this had spoiled the meal, but I received neither a clear apology nor any real attention to the situation, just a dismissive "oh well..." Mistakes happen, but the lack of a professional response is regrettable. Regarding the food, the meal was acceptable up until the main course (despite this incident). However, the dessert was a real disappointment: an extremely thick, heavy mille-feuille, difficult to enjoy, and which, in my opinion, has no place in an establishment claiming to be fine dining. It's a shame to end the meal on such an undignified note. Finally, the music was not in keeping with the advertised setting and level of service. The playlist played sounded more like an NRJ Music Awards party than a musical selection suitable for a fine dining restaurant. This contributed to an overall inconsistent experience. In the end, the price-quality ratio may partly explain these negative points: the pricing positioning remains reasonable, and this ultimately makes certain imperfections less surprising — even if we still expect a minimum of professionalism and consistency.

Generous, well-prepared dishes and a warm atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. A sure bet for a great time, whether with friends or family.
