21/05/2026: A foul smell greeted me as soon as I walked in! The floor was filthy... and this was outside of peak hours (4:30 PM). There was never any ice available.

18/07/2026: A restaurant where the steak tartare is prepared right in front of you with care and attention to the ingredients. It was excellent; I thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a lovely fabric tablecloth and matching napkins. Thank you.

03/07/2026: A fantastic first experience! After discovering this place on Google, we came all the way from the Oise region this Sunday at lunchtime with only one desire: to enjoy some delicious fries… And we weren't disappointed! The fries were excellent, the Maroilles cheese burger was a real treat, and everything was served with a smile. A place well worth the detour, we highly recommend it!

20/06/2026: The food was excellent, no complaints... I called for some information; I made a mistake in my order (first time), I forgot to ask for the sauces.... I don't think of everything, it's not my job... Using the informal "tu" as if we'd been together since we were sheep.... I may look young, but I'm almost 40... there's a minimum level of respect that should go both ways.

05/07/2026: Discovered by chance, it was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is quiet, and the service is quite fast. We received a warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our meals!

30/07/2026: It's a traditional pub: a friendly and authentic setting, welcoming and warm staff, and a good meal made with fresh, local ingredients. Here, if you smile, you'll get a smile back!

05/07/2026: We arrived for lunch at 12:30 PM. We were the first to be seated on the terrace and the last to be served. When we asked about our food, the waiter replied that the wait was long because we had ordered appetizers (bone marrow at €13.50 per person), which had delayed all the other orders. The main courses arrived: the carbonnade was cold, the salmon was bland and burnt, and the potjevleesch was served in what looked like a yogurt pot. We ate because we were very hungry after waiting for an hour and a half. When the waiter asked us how the meal had gone, we honestly told him that the portions were small. To which the waiter replied rudely, "Well, yes, it's 150 grams per person." "Will you have dessert?" We replied that we would, because we were still hungry. His response: "Well, yes, it's done on purpose so you'll order dessert." No dessert after all. The end.

01/07/2026: There's a big party (school prom?) happening at the chateau this evening. I would expect a hotel to notify its guests of such an event. I have a long travel day tomorrow and was expecting an early night (especially being mid-week).

24/04/2026: A very beautiful and charming hotel. It's a real treat to be able to work remotely from their garden overlooking the lake. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The only improvement worth noting is that they don't have a dinner menu; they might suggest what they have available at the time.
