17/07/2026: Warm atmosphere, very friendly staff, very busy this Friday lunchtime. We were seated upstairs to avoid having to wait with a young child. Excellent food and fast service, nothing to complain about, we'll be back.

15/07/2026: Not tasty food. Sausage on ravioli with truffle is a shock. Where is tasty French food? The waiters are nice. The price is not high.

Behind this downtown brasserie lies a charming interior patio, a convivial atmosphere, and above all, two passionate owners, Johanna and Stéphane, who are deeply devoted to their craft. Mathieu, in the kitchen, offers delicious homemade cuisine: simple, generous, and excellent value for money. Jo, for her part, welcomes each customer with exceptional care. (It's impossible to resist her homemade pastries for dessert or an afternoon treat). Le Diplo is a lively spot all day long. Morning coffee with local shopkeepers, lunch with colleagues, a meal with friends or a romantic dinner, and then a relaxing drink at the end of the day. A genuine, warm, and truly human place. Clearly a must-visit in downtown Caen, well worth discovering… and recommending.

15/05/2026: We had a wonderful meal! The pasta was cooked perfectly! Our only minor complaints were the lack of salad with the lasagna and the fact that the service was a bit rushed. Thank you, we'll be back!

26/05/2026: I wasn't expecting much, but I'm still disappointed. I ordered a Chicken Curry with breadcrumbs that were far from what you'd expect compared to the picture. The sauce was just water. My friends were disappointed with the sushi.

24/05/2026: Very bad experience. Order placed on the TooGoodToGo app. Cancelled twice in a row over a weekend, and to top it off, at 9:12 PM, just 45 minutes before delivery. I find that unacceptable… The organization needs improvement and leaves much to be desired.

15/07/2026: Great location along the river allowing for good people watching. Freshest and best quality seafood in all of Normandy coming straight from the farms. With the condiment and fruit oysters being incredibly flavored. Snails and shrimp beat seafoods for all of Europe, and has super friendly staff, especially after two visits. There is no air conditioning, but the breeze cools the place; all compensates with credit card payment and no smoking rules. (Trance is the best)

25/06/2026: We were looking for a seafood restaurant. We found this gem thanks to TripAdvisor. You can go there without hesitation. The seafood is fresh, and the gratinated oysters are an absolute must-try. The welcome was perfect, and the service was top-notch. There's a beautiful view, and plenty of parking. Plus, you'll be doing a good deed because it's a non-profit restaurant that helps reintegrate at-risk youth. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

23/06/2026: I struggle to understand the comments about this restaurant, which is very average and offers bland and uncreative cuisine, all at a high price for ready-made products that are simply "assembled" (at least for the salad I ate), and a quarter of an egg for a salad is something they might as well not use!

16/07/2026: A good pizzeria that offers half-pizza, half-salad combos. Perfect when you struggle to finish a whole pizza. The dough is good and there's a wide variety of toppings. Friendly atmosphere.

13/07/2026: Hello, we had a very good meal. All the staff were kind and friendly except for one waitress who had red highlights in her hair. It would be too much to ask her to smile; we really felt like we were bothering her. It was a disaster; she clearly has no business being in the restaurant industry. On the other hand, all the other staff were lovely!
